    Very Cold and tasty Martini!
    Gregory F.

Knock -knock ! I went back to the Hudson House to share my earlier experience with the manager ( very nice guy) I voice my concerns and kept it short because the entire restaurant was packed. I decided to take a seat ( the only one available) at a very very busy and crowded bar / it's definitely Happy Hour ! The atmosphere was definitely at a 10 / as I watched the two bartenders make drinks nonstop / one for the servers and the other for the bar patrons ! I didn't mind waiting bc the bartender was extremely busy !! I was already impressed at how she was maintaining service for every guest at the bar ! Ashley is a superstar ! Did you hear me ? Ashley is superstar / she ROCKED ! I had already texted my friend to say that we are definitely coming back for happy hour at the bar with her ! What martini did I get ? Bartenders choice on my martini. It was a 10 / the Lemon drop ( I think )it was very tasty and extremely cold ! We chatted for awhile bc she had recognized me from being in earlier for lunch . I was almost ready to order food but had another appointment.. so I got the sushi w mango to -go ! Now this was the dining experience I was looking for even if I didn't eat at the bar ! I will definitely give Hudson House another chance at the bar and in the dining room. And I'll definitely order the key-lime pie / it's my favorite dessert! Ashley I should have posted this sooner..

French Chicken - delicious, but questioned the portion size of the fries and salad. Mgr fixed it.

Went for lunch on a Friday and it was packed. Not surprising as HH has great dishes. This was my first visit to the Uptown location but it won't be my last. My fave meal is the French Chicken which is what I ordered this time also. I did question the portion size of the sides that came with the dish as it was much smaller than I'd had at other locations I've visited. The manager immediately noticed and fixed that small issue. I'll be back sooner than later.

Came in for happy hour, food and drinks were great but Tara was exceptional! Had a great time and the burger was chefs kiss!

I love a really good American bistro and Hudson House in Uptown is among the top in the area! We did table reservations and were seated immediately upon arrival. The service was perfection and the food was fast, fresh, and well seasoned! Our table had the Greek salad, lobster roll, fish tacos, and The Hudson Salad. We also ordered oysters on the half shell and a side of Mac and cheese. Each dish stood out in their own right! This casual yet upscale feeling restaurant was perfect for a lunch in a beautiful Saturday!

    Tuna roll absolutley delicious

Very good service. Jordan and Madison were awesome! They both went above and beyond to enhance our dining experience at the bar. We went a few times already and the service is always outstanding. Truly! The tuna roll was the best item on the menu and the fish tacos are absolutely incredible, the burger is excellent but I'm not a fan of the pickle spear that comes with the burger. They have a happy hour on weekdays and the burger is discounted but it doesn't come with fries. Fries can be added as a separate dish. The regular seasoned fries and the truffle fries are both equally delicious. I would say the Maine lobster roll is better than the Connecticut style as it has more to it. The lobster mac and cheese was one of the better lobster mac's so I do recommend it. You can't go wrong, everything on the menu is good. We will keep coming back!

Popped in for a late lunch on Saturday, was told there would be a 45 min wait but only had to wait 20! We were seated quickly, ordered, and all of our stuff was at our table within 15 minutes. The salad was great as always, and the limoncello foam on the margarita is a nice touch. This new Hudson House is much larger than the others, and has a huge walk-up bar area that I will be visiting soon.

    Fish tacos. These were good

Disappointing experience compared to the great service at the Lakewood and Lover's Lane location. The host stand warmly greeted us, but the server experience was awkward and sub par. I don't even think it's the server's fault -- I think the training needs to be elevated. First, there was a handoff between servers that was awkward at the start, our drinks came after the apps although we placed them first. Our sushi came with no soy sauce and we had to point out that it wasn't received yet. Our shrimp app didn't have the usual sauce that is drizzled on the top and on the lettuce (as we had had probably 10 times at the other locations) and we had to ask for our water to be refilled because I was totally out and no one noticed. Lastly, no anticipation of needs or recommendations of menu items, like we experience at most restaurants. Maybe it's a lack of knowledge of the menu. The final thing that was most annoying was my husband's redfis was very undercooked -- it was a weird shade of opaque grey in the middle and had no sear on it. The manager gave us a comped dessert which they brought one out...and two other servers came out with more slices thinking we had not received it yet. Seems like the front of house and back of house operations need better communication & improvement. Overall, our least favorite visit to Hudson House and quite disappointing that it was for a birthday. The service needs some improvement.

Another visit, another five star experience! Sabrina was our server and she was just fabulous! Very accommodating, Michael really makes the whole experience. Absolutely my favorite location! My very particular parents are visiting me next month, and this was a no-question reservation. Can't wait for my next visit!

Here's the bill with the platform fee
    Peter C.

Great food, great service, great ambience. But the reason I'm only giving three stars comes down to the payment experience. The waiter recommended a mobile payment system, which I was happy to use since it's usually a nice convenience for everyone. What I didn't realize until the very end was that it tacked on a $1.49 fee just to pay my bill. The charge is easy to miss, and I shouldn't have to pay extra simply to settle my tab. It left a sour taste in an otherwise excellent meal. Either offer a service like this for free or don't offer it at all.

AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!! We love the new location in west village. The service was perfect. Aubrey was our waitress and she was so kind and attentive. We love her!!! And then Charles was at the bar making our drinks. He was so amazing and kind. The staff was a 10/10 and then the food was 10/10 as well. Everything we ordered was amazing and delicious. The drinks are incredible. So happy this location opened and that the staff is so welcoming!! We will be back hopefully every weekend! Oh we also had the bar manager Sydney come by and check on us. They were so kind. Hudson house is the best.

    spicy tuna crispy rice

spicy tuna crispy rice was so yummy! burger would have been a bit better if the bun was grilled but over all nice flavor. patio was very cute in the nice weather, they had happy hour at the bar and on the patio! trisha was our server and she was awesome, very sweet and gave recommendations to make our dining experience relaxing and enjoyable. over all attentive service, water was always full!

Often times after it's all said & done, you wonder - was that worth it? Thankfully, that is NOT the experience I had at Haywire! I ate here on August 9th, 2025 and enjoyed everything about it. I was with a large party but would love to return for a more intimate experience. On this Saturday, my younger cousin was graduating from Parker University so I was in town for the weekend. At around 1pm, I was one of the first to arrive at the restaurant. Unfortunately the parking is a bit confusing. There was construction being done on the same street when I went but there's a parking garage for customers that's difficult to navigate AND the elevator that connects wasn't operating at the time which was an issue for many (but not me, I got a good spot & walked). My party hadn't all arrived yet so I took a gander. Upon entering the tall doors, the space breathes southwestern elegance: wooden structure, leather seating, separate dining areas with highlighted ranch-style art. The abundance of space gives it an open-concept feel. The lighting fixtures are modern, the space was dim but not too low, with an option to utilize the large windows also. I was quiet impressed at the overall presentation. When my party did arrive, I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the Chicken Cobb Salad and a Hibiscus Haze with Vodka. The table shmoozed as we ate some of the appetizers: the Crab Dip & Green Tomatoes, both amazing. The food did take some time but, considering it was 10-12 of us, that's expected. The Hibiscus Haze was splendid: smooth & flavorful, a great concoction. Cobb salads are usually pretty thick but this one was HEARTY. It came in a large bowl stuffed with the all the toppings. The dressing it was tossed with was well balanced but could've used a tad bit more. With some pepper & a little ranch, I was set! I defeated the salad but it also left me stuffed to the gills. Satisfying meal that I would order again! There are tons of restaurants to dine at in Dallas & sometimes you never know which is worth your time. Despite the inconvenience of parking, I'd bet my bottom dollar that this is a good place to eat. Whether you want a fine dining experience, it's a special occasion or just want a good drink with a meal, Haywire has enough to satisfy all interests.

Knowledgeable about the menu & great recommendations. Kev was a joy to have as our server. The food is amazing & love the ambiance of the restaurant. My only complaint...we came in early Saturday prior to Stars game. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked if we had a reservation. We did not, the restaurant wasn't busy at all. We were asked to wait. Waited maybe 5-10mins. No biggie, A lot of open tables were available for immediate sit down. Again that wasn't a big deal. I had asked for a booth & wanted to sit in front room. The hostess said no a problem. She handed us off to a younger hostess and she took us to a table. I told her I had requested a booth. In the front room only 3 tables were occupied. I pointed out the booth and she said that's for party of 6. However, we could have the 1/2 table/booth. Made absolutely no sense because that was for a party of 6 as well. I made this comment & she just stared at me without saying a word. I didn't want to seem difficult and took the table as she just walked away. Kev was confused as we were. No good communication skills. It was an awkward encounter. The restaurant wasn't busy at all & never was whole time there. Kev wasn't sure why she didn't move us a requested & was puzzled himself. However i apologized to him & explained I wasn't trying to be difficult, but prefer booth sitting and most times we will wait for one. We left at 1:45p and restaurant was no busier than when we arrived. Reservation/Booth or not! I guess saying all of this, your front staff need to have more people skills when dealing with your customers. They are the face and first point of contact. Again Kev was amazing & food was outstanding!

First it looked so cool and the avocado was the base and instead of the creamy egg it was a chick pea cream with some salt and seasoning. It was topped with onion straws. OMG it was really good. I really loved it and the texture was similar to deviled egg. For my main dish, I got a fresh kale salad with ranch dressing. It also had chick peas croutons. The ranch was light and very good. The kale was crisp and the chickpea croutons were unique and crispy. It was large enough for two. I also ordered a side of fresh cut fries which were cut thin. It was crispy and lightly salted. We ordered a bottle of wine and caviar and were settling in to plan the rest of our meal when the experience took a turn. A tween/teen birthday party was seated in the private room. At first, we assumed the noise was just initial excitement and would settle after a few minutes. The parents of the birthday girl were seated nearby, and when the mother got up, we expected she might ask the girls to lower their volume. Unfortunately, the opposite happened--she brought the group out into the main dining room for photos, where the noise level became even more disruptive. Another couple seated near us--at what is typically a very desirable table--lasted no more than five minutes before asking to be moved outside. Shortly after, a manager approached the private room. We anticipated they would address the noise, but instead, they greeted the party warmly and thanked them for being there, without making any effort to manage the disruption. After so many consistently great experiences, it was honestly shocking. We truly felt as though we were being punked. My boyfriend and I both have children and enjoy bringing them to nice restaurants, but part of that experience includes ensuring they understand and respect the environment. When that standard isn't upheld--especially with no support from management--it significantly detracts from the experience for everyone else.
