I can't speak to the quality of their work, but I had a concerning experience with one of their drivers. The driver appeared impaired, and after we honked because they remained stopped at a green light, they aggressively tried to force us off the road. But they no longer do irrigation work for individual customers at all; we have used DLC for this for more than 20 years, but the company has changed since it was sold a couple of years ago. Not well organized, and won't do work for long time customers. They did not communicate the change, just told me on the phone that our relationship is now over. I can't recommend DLC Arbor Services more highly. From my initial call to the moment the crews drove away the entire process was efficient, professional, and customer-focused. I met the arborist, Bill, for an initial assessment and recommendation. He was thoughtful and spent considerable time assessing my needs. The estimate that he sent was fair and reasonable given the amount of work required. The crew arrived right on time. The size of the crew and the equipment was impressive. Everyone on the crew wore safety equipment and had all the tools necessary to do the job. The crew worked quickly and efficiently. We couldn't be more pleased with how the trees look. They mulched smaller branches and hauled away the logs. The crew also raked up twigs and blew off the side walks. Nice work! A different company had agreed to the job but backed out after a 2-week delay, yet DLC's price was LESS than the other company and they followed through like the pros they are. I have used these guys to fertilize my 2 large trees since prior to 2017. I have also hired them to thoroughly trim both of my trees twice in that timeframe. It cost me several thousands of $'s to trim my trees each time. As such, I never had a problem until this year. I signed a contract with them to fertilize my 2 large trees on 5/9/2024 for $407. So this wasn't cheap for just 30-45 minutes of work. But first, I had to wait and wait for them to get me on their schedule, but finally, they got me scheduled to be able to come out on Friday, June 7th from 11am-1pm. I have a locked fence and so I arranged my work schedule so I could be home during that timeframe. Normally, I always had "Kenny" who was EXTREMELY good and VERY reliable. But I was told when they scheduled it, that "Kenny" was no longer doing fertilizations. I have no idea why, as he was very good. So they were sending some other new guy to come out to do the fertilizations. But this is the problem, HE NEVER SHOWED UP! Yup, I waited one month to get this scheduled, then took half of a day off from work so that I could be home and this new LOSER from this company never even shows up! AND NOT EVEN A PHONE CALL explaining where he was at!! NOTHING! Not knowing what was going on, I called this business SIX (6) times that day, on 2 different extensions, to find out where this guy was at, leaving multiple voicemails, and still NO RETURN CALL, NOTHING! So I'll take a wild guess here that this "new guy" was a stupid, lazy & inconsiderate ME-LLENNIAL. Well, guess what boys? I don't play those ME-LLENNIAL games! You work for ME! I don't take a half a day off from work, to then have you stand me up! And then you can't even be bothered to call me back to explain WHY you're not showing up? Yeah, I don't think so, you POS's!! The WORST! It's quite obvious that Roger doesn't drive the properties his employees destroy each week. Trash left on grounds, scalped turf areas, branches left on the ground, they don't blow out the driveways as every other company has done, they did the worst job ever on snow removal. Damaged numerous sprinkler heads, scraped river rock into the turf areas. I've never seen another landscape company do such a bad job. Snow was piled up instead of pushed out, broke the speed bumps and do not seem interested in repairing them. They don't edge the sidewalks unless you tell them repeatedly. They do not seem to live up to the terms of the contract they have. I would not recommend them ever, for anything. read more

I am in dispute with this company. Their landscaping branch has quoted me a price for services. Those services have not been completed and they won't answer my phone calls. I've been calling for months now and Roger, the owner has either not returned my call, or had an underling basically refuse to honor the agreement we had. This company is not an honorable company. On Google, their current score is 2 out of 5. They obviously do business without caring whether or not they're reputation is affected or not. Supposedly they've been in business since the 80's. Not sure how they're continuing to do business. My HOA uses them for landscaping, which is why I figured they would be a good source for my residential landscaping issues. I was wrong. When the arrive your your complex, THEY become the priority, taking ASSIGNED parking spaces, parking in DO NOT PARK Areas, or blocking mailboxes and trash cans!!! Don't bother asking them to move... they will just tell your to "fuck off lady." Tried calling the business, no answer, not suprized. In the mean time the ass hat blocking the dumpsters has been sitting theee for over an hour and a half on his phone doing NOTHING!!!! This probably explains why the complex doesn't get plowed until 2pm when people have already scraped paths for their cars! They used their rakes to clean up the branches that felled on the ground, but have no common sense that maybe, just maybe, you shouldn't use the rake ON someone's crop. I have to tell the guys twice to stop doing what they were doing. My first pumpkin patch that worked really hard on it is now destroyed because of their ignorant. read more

DLC came out to our house to trim a tree in our front yard. They've been friendly to work with and came out to our house for a free quote on trimming our old tree that had a bunch of dead branches on it. Not the fastest at replying to emails, but have been very nice in the process, and always followed up if I sent them a second email as I'm sure they are busy. They are scheduling a couple months in advance. They were also nice enough to bring a few cones by my house a couple of days before so I could prevent people from parking underneath the tree since it overlaps the street in front of our home where people often park their cars. They did a great job of cleaning up, I didn't even know that they were there save the better looking tree. Would recommend them for anyone to use. read more

DLC recently came out to trim 3 trees in my backyard that had not been trimmed in years. Before deciding on DLC I received estimates from 4 other competitors in the Denver area and DLC was able to substantially beat their prices, and then added on a winter discount. The team did a great job, and cleaned up everything from the work area in my yard, along with anything that had fallen in neighbors yards. They even hauled away a large pile of leafs I had not had time to bag! The employees were professional and friendly, answering any questions I had through the day. We had a dead honey locust tree in our backyard that needed to be removed. They removed the tree and cleaned up all the debris. Due to the access issues of our back yard (we don'thave a gate) we opted for just the tree removal service and did not have the stump removed so our cost was for tree removal only. The company showed up at the time/date agreed upon and did what was expected. We bought a coupon for $105 for $200 worth of work on Angie's list so the total cost without the coupon would be $650. We did get an estimate from two other companies and DLC was the lowest of all three. I was impressed with the clean-up, especially considering the limitations without the gate. Used DLC this summer to trim up a large elm in my back yard. Work was completed for a good price and done as scheduled. My tenants said it looked good, so I was pleased, until I saw the tree myself in the summer when I visited. I have an undergrad in horticulture, and a graduate degree in landscape architecture, so you could say I've looked at a few trees in my day. This tree was butchered. Why not a 1 star? It was an overgrown elm, that is messy, drops a ton of debris, etc. It now looks like a Dr. Seuss tree, and brings me one step closer to a take down, so I'm not that fussy. Perhaps their arborists treat other species better? I hope so, but I don't know if I will have them trim my silver maples. read more

These idiots jerked me around for two months and then couldn't do the job. I needed a power line dropped to take out a tree and a week before the job was to be done they sent an email full of excuses telling me how the power company couldn't do it for two months and they tried SO hard to get them on the phone but, the evil power company wouldn't answer the phone. Complete crap, obviously, and of course the power company needs advance notice and that's part of the job! They just blew it off and then blamed the power company. Amazingly lame. Based upon the address, this appears to be the same as DLC Landscape, Inc. They are the company contracted by my HOA for landscaping services and snow removal. If I was reviewing them based solely on their snow removal, they would get a much better review. They remove the snow, in a timely manner, awesome. BUT, since they do more than snow removal, and they are terrible with other things, this review reflects that. They are contracted to mow the front yards, aerate and fertilize the front and back yards, and turn on and off your sprinkler systems. Here is my thoughts on how they do: Lawn Mowing - Gets done, mostly problem free, however, I have found the occasional cigarette butt in my yard after they finish. Maybe it wasn't them? But, likely it was. Aerate and Fertilize - So, you send me a letter saying to keep my dog locked inside on a certain day so you can come into my backyard. Fine. Will do. Then, I come home, and find you never did what you were supposed to do. I find out from a neighbor you are coming back in two days to finish, but you don't let anyone know unless they ask. I again keep my dog locked inside and come home, and SHOCKER, you did do what you were supposed to do, again. How is it that hard to aerate my yard? Do you think I am stupid? Do you think I can't tell you didn't do it? Sprinklers - We get notice they will be coming around on a certain day. No time frame. Basically asking us to sit around for the entire day waiting on them. If you try to call anyone to ask for a time frame, you can't get anyone to answer their phone. I have tried calling their sprinkler emergency line, but no one answers. Apparently I have nothing else to do all day but wait for them to come blow out my sprinklers. It is currently 10:11 am. They came, did one of the neighbors houses and then left the neighborhood. I have stuff to do. If you gave me a window I would gladly wait. Even a time frame of morning or afternoon. But, I get that they will be here "Saturday". So, they don't answer their phones, you wait around on them all day, for them to maybe do what they are supposed to do, maybe not. Would I ever use them if I had a choice? No. Should you use them? No. I have paid my HOA dues and will likely have to go spend additional money out of pocket to get my yard aerated and sprinklers blown out. Not a good company. read more

I had them remove an Aspen and trim nearly all my trees and bushes in the front and back of my house. The price was reasonable and they did an excellent job. They cleaned up, even covered the aspen stump with rock so that it was not detectable. I asked them to trim a little more from an evergreen and they happily did so to make sure the tree was straight. Most important, they had a good "eye" for tree trimming since it is an "art" to get a tree symmetrical. I will definitely use them for all of my future tree and bush services! read more
