DM Tree Service is exceptional! We have an emergency situation when a recent storm can through in July. I was referred to Kurt who responded immediately. He came out and quoted and had the crew at the house first thing Monday morning to start the job. David and his team were professional and efficient. They needed to work with golf course to get access to backyard tree and did it seamlessly. They communicated and deliver on everything they said they would. It was an already difficult situation and Kurt and David eased the tension and helped me and my family work through it. If this review had 10 stars I would give it to them! They do not follow directions. I asked for a specific branch to please not be cut, but they cut it anyway with no explanations. I left a bird-house on the branch I wanted to keep and I informed the sales person who came to my house to write a quote. When I arrived home the bird-house was moved and the branch was cut. The owner (David) never returned my call. The sales person (Curtis) stated that he wrote down that the branch with the bird-house was not supposed to be cut and blamed it on the owner (David) who must not have read the note. I do not recommend using this company due to communication problems, and lack of resolution when a customer is unhappy. read more

Not good Where to start my neighbor hired this company was supposed to be put in early of August 2021 to trim our tree on his side of the fence and by his house we had a brand new patio put in in late august 2021 and for some reason in October of 2021 David and his guys show up without permission without notice and start butchering our entire tree on my property and in the process leaving an entire mess throughout my yard dragging and cutting branches on a brand new 6 week old paver patio branches falling breaking my string lights instead of having me remove them so they can perform their work and cracking bricks just leaving a mess in my yard and destroying our tree this all happened while we were at work so when we got home we said holy cow what happened so we contacted or neighbor who wasn't home either when work was performed and got phone number and talked to David he said he would clean it up following morning so I have him benefit of the doubt and he showed up on time tried cleaning scratches we're still visible so we contacted our paving company gave us a quote and this spring they fixed it all now David is refusing to do anything to make it right not paying for his mistakes or damage saying the bricks were already broken I have proof blah blah so now I'm out $3600 bucks because his crew has no common sense to lay plywood down or walk around or anything! Terrible company who takes advantage's of nice hardworking people and does what ever he wants!! What a joke!! read more

This is the first time I have ever called a "Tree Service" in the 30+ years I have lived at this residence...so I did not know what to expect. I got quotes from 3 different companies, not a huge difference in pricing. What resonated with me the most...was David and Kurt, what a team they are. Their knowledge, and the crew, and the job they did...made me extremely happy that I went with them!!! The other two places that came out and quoted were referrals from Next Door, our neighborhood newsfeed. David and his crew did a wonderful job removing our huge maple tree from our city back yard. Since it was inaccessible to a cherry picker he had to climb the tree to extraordinary heights to cut all the limbs and branches. The crew guided the limbs gently down. They also trimmed the branches of a second tree. They ground the stump too. And cleaned up afterwards. They handled the details of getting Com Ed to drop the wires and reconnect the power after they were done. They were very pleasant to work with and showed up on time. WOW. We got estimates from 3 places... DM was by far the lowest. The next one was 200 higher and the third estimate was MORE than double of what DM quoted us! Communication is a bit confusing, BUT they come out and get the work done FAST. The crew that came was amazing - professional, efficient, and they did a great job. They completely cleaned everything up - a guy was raking basically the entire time to ensure no mess would be left behind. My review is based on the fact that our work was never finalized, so not a reflection on the crew or their work as we did not make it to that point. I attempted to reach DM Tree Service both through calling the office and their online contact form to set up an estimate. After two weeks of not hearing back I tried calling another number listed on the site which was answered by a man saying, "Hello?". No indication that this was a business at all. I apologized and explained I was trying to call a tree removal service and must have dialed incorrectly and he responded, "No, this is the right number". Odd, but ok. I explained I had been trying to set up a quote with them but had heard no response. He told me he'd give my contact to his estimator and we could move forward so I agreed. Kurt, the company's estimator, did in fact quickly reach out to me and we set up an appointment. The day of the estimate Kurt called as he was pretty busy and made sure to check in about our availability for the day. He met with my husband to discuss what needed done and was quick, knowledgeable and fair in his estimate. He followed up the next day with the full written estimate and insurance papers for the company in order for us to get our tree removal permit. While the city denied our tree removal permit (HP is pretty strict) Kurt asked if we wanted to move forward with the other work in the meantime and we said yes. It's now been over 2 weeks and we still have not heard back from the office about scheduling the work. It is preposterous to me that a company would have taken the time to send their estimator and then not ever follow up to schedule the work which is where the money is! DM Tree Service needs to get their act together (minus Kurt who was wonderful and when he found out we hadn't been contacted promised to take care of it himself--but that is not his job). If the owner/office has no interest in answering online contact forms, answering calls to the office or scheduling the work then I cannot support that business. It's a shame. read more

We read all the wonderful Yelp comments about D and M Tree Service and gave them a call. We were in a hurry to have tree work done and D and M accommodated us by sending Marcos out to provide us with a quote that same day. Marcos was terrific- he is very seasoned and was beyond helpful in determining exactly what needed done to accomplish our goals. Our job consisted of the removal of one dying large tree and the stump ground out. In addition- 3 other large trees were trimmed and the dead branches removed. Marcos and crew arrived the next morning. They were so kind as to fit us in the day following the quote. It was an unbelievable experience. We knew that D & M had great Yelp reviews but this team was amazing - they surpassed our already high expectations. Marcos was on site as well as Dave the owner of D & M with their crew. The crew worked with precision and when we added something while they were working they provided it without issue at a modest charge. They are all personable and caring. I had DM remove a very large tree from my yard. When they sent me the quote they also sent a copy of their insurance and workman's comp. The were by far the best price and the most responsive. Once I confirmed I wanted the work done they scheduled a day. When I got home from work the only way you could tell they were there was that the tree was gone. They clean up everything. They also used plywood to protect the lawn from the large vehicles used to remove the tree. Great job, clean, quick and a great price. read more

I recently had two trees removed which cost $4,000. One of the trees we also had the stump removed and was told they would be back to get the wood chips because their truck was full. They never came back and I am now being told that they should not have told us that and it was probably just a worker who did not speak good English and didn't understand. REALLY??? On the contract it states "all materials to be removed" to me and everyone I have I have shown it to agrees that means everything. After weeks of trying to get someone to return my call I finally speak to someone who tells me that we need to remove the stump wood chips ourselves and that it would be an extra cost to take them away. I would make sure to go over every detail before you sign a contract and don't pay until the job is 100% done. read more

Holy cow! Can't say enough about these guys! We called to get a quote on some bush/stump removal as we're having a fence installed next week. We had three other quotes, then tried to do it ourselves and decided that we needed help. I called DM on Wednesday, a guy came out on Thursday.
