I've been their customer every since... let's see... early 2000s. Was sad to see their original location close, and I thought the world was over and I sojourned in the wilderness looking for half as trustworthy mechanics in the Fort Lee area... until on my recent first trip to CostCo Teterboro I saw a mirage to my right... The Korean Flag. On an Automechanic shop. I rubbed my eyes in disbelief for a second and stared again - and there it was - the proud Korean flag + automechanic combo, which could only harken back to my memories of seeing the same in the original location closer to Palisades Park side of the same Rt. 46. I literally stopped by right away and there they were, like Professor X and the Beast in the X-Men movies quietly deliberating on plans to kick Magneto's ass, Mr. Kang and Mr. Choi(?) the owner - fine gents jus' doing their thang. Owner recognized me despite 10+ years having passed. As did Mr. Kang who immediately gave me the lowdown on my problem with battery and installed a new one, and my oft-dead car issue that plagued me for several months... solved. Other mechanics told me it could be alternator issue so they didn't want to sell me battery just to have the car dead the next day or so, and Mr. Kang just explained the $h%# out of those dudes to the stratosphere. BAMN. PEW-PEW! KAZAAM!!! Hasta la vista baby. All my clouds of confusion and worry - GONE with the wrench. *cue the scene of gunslinger holstering his smoking wrench back* "But Mr. Kang, what about what they told me about my timing belts that are so old? Any dangers?" Another lightning-fast Bruce Lee-esq explanation why I need not worry. BAMN! POW! 1-inch punched outta hell to the Andromedas. And this was all done within a few efficient minutes close to their closing time. I didn't have anymore fearful issues to inquire about. A nice handshake and a knowing smile, and a promise to return, and return the hell I shall. I don't have to second guess myself anymore on any more mechanical issues which I have plenty with my 2004 Acura TSX until I can get a new one after this ridiculous car inflation subsides. And then some with my new car, I can be sure counted to come ONLY to Tech Power. Screw dealers - I ain't going anywhere else and I don't need your watered-down coffee. If you've been struggling finding honest mechanics who're super experienced, can and WILL take time to EXPLAIN what they're doing, give you REASONABLE price, and CARE ABOUT THEIR CUSTOMERS... look no further - come to Tech Power, your car's promised land foretold in the Car Bible. You really can't go wrong here. Or, if you wanna continue paying exorbitant price while feeling somewhat important sipping watered-down coffee... keep going to your dealership. :) (half joking, half not)

Beware of this place! I went in for a simple tire change (seeing all the positive reviews), but…read moreafterwards the owner told me to follow him into the shop because they found other problems. He and his mechanic then proceeded to shake two of my wheels which shook pretty bad, telling me that it is dangerous to drive around like that and that I had to get additional things fixed. He then showed me his estimate for the job which was pretty high. Frankly, when the wheels shook like that, I panicked a little and thought about getting it repaired then and there despite the cost, but then remembered a time when another mechanic did something similar at another shop (showing me shaky wheels) which turned out to be nothing but a scam to scare naive customers into spending more money. I took the car to three other mechanics, one of them a friend of mine and just as I suspected, there was absolutely nothing wrong with the wheels. Upon closer inspection, it seemed they either loosened a bolt or two somewhere behind the wheels to shake them like that to scare the customer (me), then tightened it back again when they realized I wasn't taking the bait. The owner seemed nice enough and competent at first, but I think they take advantage of alot of customers this way, especially women and some of the Korean population here, so I would really beware of this place. I could only imagine how many other of their customers have already fallen for sneaky, underhanded stunts like this to scare them into dishing out extra money for repairs they never really needed, including some of the positive reviewers on here, unbeknownst to them. I've even heard of some shops that actually break parts that were perfectly fine going in to drum up business, so always get SECOND or THIRD opinion whenever a shop 'shows' you sudden costly repairs that you apparently need. You will end up saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars of unnecessary repairs. Also, it goes without saying, but never trust how nice or accomodating they first appear to be. All that means nothing.

EXCEEDS EXPECTATIONS IN EVERY WAY!…read more After an excellent, honest, fair and high quality auto repair experience with MPAB last year, they earned my full trust and loyalty for future business. Well, today I picked up my not-so-recent Lexus, which needed a new front "under bumper" shield that was dragging, and removal of white scrapes on three corners of the car. Dave advised there was no point in replacing the bumper shield, which would have cost $1200 plus. Instead he wired it back up securely, advising it would most likely do the job..."no point spending that kind of money on this". I thanked him, asked for the bill for that labor and the touch-up painting...he waved it off and said "no charge for it...you can give a tip Bobby (who did the painting)", which of course I gladly did. WHAT???!!! WHO DOES THIS???? What an over-the-top wonderful culture and committed to customer service exists here. What a blessing to have found this establishment. To anyone reading this, trust me...you need not shop around. MPAB will exceed your expectations as well. BRAVO!!!! to the MPAB team!!! (Oh...and I RARELY write online reviews...but they deserve this one!!!)

Beware Ladies, you're gonna get hosed!…read more These schiesters gave a verbal estimate of $400 to fix a brake line. We then asked to check other lines as well. They said replacing all 4 would be costly. 8 days later, they just received parts at noon and were just putting it on lift. Car was ready less than 5 hours later at 4:45. No hourly labor charge on invoice or time spent, just $450. Showed up with $400 and told total was $849! No calls or authorization to double the bill! Work order is very sketchy with schematics showing 1 hose ordered and a line item of repairing a line for $46. No parts returned, just red marks on 2 pics of the same schematic showing 1 part for 1 wheel. Several family's have used these crooks and will never again. If you want to get hosed, take er down to J & R auto in Waldwick NJ.
