Seatown Review: Before You Hire, Read About Our Experience…read more We hired Seatown because of a previous positive experience with one of their plumbers. When our water heater failed, we contacted them again for a replacement and several electrical projects, including an EV charger installation. The salesperson who came to our home told us he could offer a particularly good deal and an additional 10% discount if work started immediately. Based on those representations, we signed the estimates and proceeded. Shortly after work began, we started researching the pricing and became concerned that the quoted costs were far higher than market rates. For example, we were quoted approximately $7,500 for a replacement water heater and installation. Our later research indicated the unit retailed for about $2,350, leading us to question the overall pricing. In total, Seatown's billings approached $17,000. Based on our own research and discussions, we believed a reasonable price for the completed work was closer to $8,500. We requested a detailed review of the charges before making additional payments. After discussions with Seatown, the company reduced the total cost by approximately $7,000. We ultimately paid about $8,500, including our down payment. We also discovered that a required electrical permit had not been obtained before work began. The permit was secured approximately one month after completion of the work. During the subsequent city inspection, the work initially failed inspection and required corrective action before ultimately passing. Our concerns were not with the workers themselves, who were generally professional and courteous. Rather, they involved the pricing, sales process, and permit handling. Based on our experience, we strongly recommend obtaining multiple bids, asking detailed questions about permits, and carefully reviewing pricing before signing any agreement. Doing so could save you thousands of dollars.

Super high marks for Bee's! Late Sunday the ice maker water line in my refrigerator sprung a leak…read more I called several plumbers in my area and Bee's was first to respond very early Monday morning. The dispatcher was so friendly & easy to work with. The plumbing tech they sent (E.) was so helpful & even help me clean up the mess under the refrigerator. PLUS putting away the dolly & shop for me! I would highly recommend them plus I have been telling all my friends about your service.

As this wasn't an emergency, the dispslatcher said it would be today or tomorrow before a plumber would be sent. He was sent today. Sean called and arrived early afternoon and looked at the repair. He presented us three options and solid estimates. We chose the middle one and then decided to also ask about a toilet replacement. Again, Sean presented us options and we agreed to one He gave us. As he didn't have the toilet on his repair truck, Bee's dispatched an employee with a new toilet. Sean was very professional in his work, answering questions as he proceeded with the work. He mentioned a couple of things that needed replacing due to their aging. We agreed to have them replaced. When Sean presented the invoice, it was exactly as he stated. At no time did he try to "upsell" items were didn't need, unlike other plumbing firms in this area that are heavy TV advertisers. I would recommend Bee's Plumbing to anyone that ask! Thank you, Sean! And, thanks to your employer for all they have taught you, in not only the aspects of plumbing but also in customer service!

In order for him to inspect the leak he says he needed access and open up the drywall downstairs in the ceiling which he did for about $400. It is a hole size 12x6 inches. He says he sees the leak coming from the drainage so he retightned the drainage floor and called it for another $400. All in all I paid $780 for him to come out on the first day. We tried using the shower the next day, it leaked so much more and definitely worse than ever before. We called back right away waited another 2 days for him to show up just to hear that he needs another $780 switch out the tub spout which may or may not fix the issue. Or would go ahead and break the tiled walls to determine the issue and fix the problem permanently which would cost me lot more. Given the 2 options that were presented to me, it made me skeptical immediately. I understand it i s a business that they are running but upselling was its finest. All it was failed o-ring in my bathtub spout that shot back the water into the wall. I fixed it myself. It didn't even need ceiling wall opening and all the other fuss. I thought I was supporting a local business but turns out this place wants to print money and prey on people's emotions and lack of experience. There was no genuine attempt made to diagnose the issue. It was all about how much money I could get out of a small job. I m not sure how come this place has this decent of a Google and yelp reviews. I would not trust these guys. BEWARE!!! SAVE YOURSELVES MONEY AND ENERGY.
