I was having issues with my heater during the winter months, I called other companies I had two different companies come out. During these times I was extremely concerned about cleanliness and covid-19 protection, the other companies came out and only had a mask on. They "fixed" my issue charged me a few days later my heater wasn't working. I found DNA heating and cooling, extremely suspect and cautious I explained to them what was going on, they came out had gloves, booties and a mask on and were extremely professional and thorough. They explained to me what the problem was, and gave me options. I ended repairing the unit but learned my unit is on the Frits, and will definitely use them when it goes out. My mom just bought a new house and it doesnt have any AC. Having AC is a must if you live in the San Fernando Valley given the heat. I went to Yelp to look at different HVAC licensed companies and asked each one to give me a quote. DNA Heating and Cooling was the first company that I asked a quote from. Andrew came to see the house and immediately he knew what to do and how he can run the electrical part of it. He was the ONLY person that went to see our attic for access. His price was very affordable compared to the other companies that I asked quotes from. And I didnt feel comfortable dealing with them. I chose DNA and I am very thankful that I did. Today is THE DAY of installation. I am very particular about the brand since my dad also works in the AC business in another country and that is his brand. Andrew and his team came out the same day (5pm on a friday) gave me a quote on redoing ductwork to accommodate Our impromptu project of raising our ceiling to make it vaulted. Andrew was so dedicated that he started that night by getting rid of the ducts while we were out. We had them reroute ducting, reroute and recharge the ac, reroute electrical wires, Create junction boxes as they were all going through the addict which we were eliminating. They also Added dampers to all the bedrooms and zoned the upstairs and downstairs chase ducts. We scheduled them to come and do some additional work because of how great it all turned out! We are putting similar style ducted in our sons room which also has vaulted ceilings and will be adding a Remi Halo purification system to help mitigate all the allergy issues my wife and three children have. Andrew rescued me!!! If you have an AC issue and you want a courteous, professional, knowledgeable expert who is a savvy troubleshooter and a relentless technician, hire Andrew and the folks at DNA. The situation: We had an AC leak cause damage to the walls and ceiling in our condo. We tried three different AC companies to come by and help us with the issue. We have a ductless split unit evaporator system. There is a large compressor on top of the condo building and each unit has an individual condenser coil and fan. This makes service complicated because there is a master compressor that cools water and then supplies the cold to each condo units individual condenser coil. Like a large hub that connects to hundreds of nodes. The other AC guys didn't know how or didn't want to work on our problem because it was too difficult of a system. It was very frustrating and a waste of time. We needed a solution and we needed to stop the leak asap!!! The service call: Andrew and Anthony showed up on time. They wear wearing DNA uniforms. They presented very professionally and did the little things like covering their shoes with plastic covers when entering the home. Andrew immediately recognized the system and explained exactly how it worked. They explained there was a charge for the service call which I expected and was fair given the total time and trouble of their visit. The diagnosis: He diagnosed the problem very quickly and gave me options on how to proceed, walking me through every step of the diagnosis and showing me video and data. He was methodical and knowledgeable. I immediately felt at ease with Andrew on the job. I was impressed at their use of technology. They used snake cameras, sensors, etc. and had all the right tech tools. They even took my payment using an ipad and emailed me the invoice on the spot . The repairs: We needed to replace the condensation pan and drain line connection. Andrew and Anthony executed the repairs as timely as possible and went through a great deal of trouble to find the parts that were needed. They even searched relentlessly all around town until they found it!!! Awesome service. He also recommended to clean the coil and fan while the unit was open since it was a good opportunity to do it a low cost. Which I agreed with. They were always timely, responsive, courteous and clean. Parking is very bad at my condo and they parked 5 blocks away if they had to. Even in the pouring RAIN!!!! The follow through: We tested the unit by running it hard for 7 days and NO LEAKS! Its cooling great and all the condensation is draining with no problem through the drain line into the home's plumbing. Andrew has been in touch with me to follow up. The cost: What they charged was surprisingly reasonable and I was very happy with the work. Honestly this is probably one of the best experiences I have had hiring a pro. Thank you Andrew and DNA!
