The food was not up to par. Not today, anyway. They didn't put any Chile or Tajin on the elite, it was a very mayonnaisey mess! My quesadilla maize had no flavor at all. When I asked for some lime, she basically threw them at me in a napkin. The mango nada was not fresh and tasted like a straight up salt-lick. The chicken quesadilla was the only thing that was good. I wasted $28.00 for bad food and service

Doña Gloria's Restaurant is a popular restaurant. We tried to get in a few months ago and the parking lot was packed. Today we waited until midafternoon. There were still a dozen cars in the parking lot. Fortunately, most all were departing customers. Soon we were in a fairly empty restaurant. We were the only gringos coming or going. That is a good sign. Indicative of authentic Mexican food, at a good price, at a restaurant we already knew was popular in the community. For sure the food is authentic, not TexMex, OkieMex and certainly not the Left Coast version. It is a different authentic. Most authentic Mexican food I have experienced is prepared with mild, to no seasoning. Nothing bland at Doña Gloria's! A friendly, welcoming greeting met us as soon as we were in the door. The friendly, fast service continued through the meal. Very good! Everything is riding on the salsas. Doña Gloria's get's my approval with two flavorful versions. A delicious hot, with noticeable garlic and cilantro, and an equally flavorful mild. Neither excessively loaded with tomato sauce and both excellent, unusual flavors in comparison to most other Mexican restaurants. I struggled with the menu. It is not big like the pages and pages of an OkieMex restaurant There are four prominent categories: steak, tortas, seafood and breakfast. Almost every item is in Spanish with an abbreviated English translation. There were a couple of items without translation "Entomatadas" and "Costillas." I avoided those, whatever they were. My wife figured out her choice, Carne Asada con Enchiladas. Chicken in the enchiladas. I was still lost in the menu, so I told the waiter "Just make it two." The theme of this review from the beginning has been that Doña Gloria's is a little different version of authentic Mexican food. Let's continue with the carne asada. It topped the enchiladas. It is the thinnest slice of steak possible. So thin, it only had one side. It is well done. Almost a carne seca. I thought it was good and to my surprise my wife loved it. The enchiladas were covered with an excellent green salsa, sour cream and Cotija. The shredded chicken inside was wonderful, well-seasoned and a lot. Beans and rice on the side. This was a big plate of food. A good delicious, value meal! I recommend you try to squeeze into Doña Gloria's busy restaurant and try a little different version of authentic Mexican food.

    Chicken tostadas for the WINNNN

I go to Dona Gloria's once a week, sometimes 3. I have never not been satisfied, hence why I sometimes go 3 times a week. The staff is so friendly and they put their souls into the food. The tostadas are top tier and everything that goes on top makes it perfect. If you haven't tried it, you should. And if you don't like it, then try it again. The atmosphere is authentic and relaxing and you have a nice place to enjoy your food, or take it to go.

Authentic Mexican food at reasonable prices. Great service too. Nothing special about the restaurant, but the food is plentiful and tasty.

Everything about Don Glorias is amazing. Like what can I fu*king say? We got this dish and it was packed with more food than we could eat. Gonna have to bring the whole family to eat this meal. Every time we eat here it's a blast of fresh and seasoned food. The elites is good and the tacos are to die for. This current dish was a super dish!!!!!

Since moving from Ca over a year ago we have been on the search for authentic Mexican food and so far this is the closest we've found. Salsa is great. Minchelada was also great. Only downside is it was hot in there.

Totally in the mood for street tacos we decided to check out Dona Gloria. It was packed during lunch time on the Sunday afternoon. So we waited with others for a table. Always a good sign! The service was good our waitress was very busy but she was attentive to our needs. Free chips and salsa that we added the white queso my kids favorite. We tried one of every street taco offered which were all delicious my favorite being the chicken and pork but all were delightful. We ordered a couple fun flavors of bottled soda and waited for our food. There were two TVs on both with Mexican shows playing One reality show was too violent for my kids to watch so we kept trying to distract them from it. My son got the chicken and cheese quesadilla (the only thing he ever gets) meal, no onions. He liked but as an adult portion it was too much for him to finish. We will definitely be back it was really yummy

Always a great lunch here! The best wet burrito in Tulsa...

Wanted to update this review, they have new furniture, friendly owners/staff and some of the best salsa anywhere in Tulsa...be sure to check out the breakfast menu for some great breakfast or brunch! Quick, very affordable and authentic ambiance.

We decided to stop by their food truck at the Cinco De Mayo festival held at River West Festival Park. We were definitely glad to have done so because they served some super delicious tacos! We got their lengua (beef tongue), buche (pork stomach), cabeza (cow head), and tripas (beef intestine) tacos. It was very authentic and cooked to perfection with tender and chewy textures, and they had several types of hot sauce to add more spice and kick to the already yummy flavors. We would totally stop by again to try their other menu items, including their pozole, quesadillas, tortas, and other taco choices.

There's a parking lot in this plaza, and we were seated immediately upon arrival. They offered complementary chips and dips (salsa and queso). We ordered additional guac. They were generous with the birria and the consome is chefs kiss!!! The staff did a wonderful job in assuring our needs were met and that we were satisfied. Really good and would order again. Rice and beans were probably above average. My dining partner asked how the chile relleno was prepared. (He doesn't like the eggy batter.) We were literally told that it came premade and frozen and was "just fried." Obviously, he ordered the street tacos instead. We sat at the bar and it took a bit to get waited on but the manager jumped in and gave us water and silverware. I liked my Blackberry-Rosemary Marg but I honestly didn't feel like it had much tequila in it. The regular marg was just OK. Since it is a tequila bar and we sat at the bar, I would have liked to have discussed tequilas but my bad for not asking. Would have loved to have done a tasting. The menu was informative. I would go back when in south Tulsa. Not sure I would make it a destination. (Well, maybe. Those enchiladas were good! It is a cute place.

As what was stated over the phone, the moment we walked in, we were seated. The place is very intimate in space, I'd recommend for dates. I went with the Enchiladas, something I've been craving for a couple of months & La Tertulia helped that fix. There were a few meats to choose from & I went with chorizo. The wait on the food wasn't long (people were starting to fill in as well & it didn't stop the servers from being on point) & the food was really good. Coming in with 3 enchiladas, stuffed with the chorizo & the fixins, I was left full after I finished. The spanish rice & pinto beans were good as well, paired good with the enchiladas. The chorizo looked more like breakfast sausage more than the chorizo that's more on the dark brown + reddish tint I'm used too. The enchiladas also come with chiles (I picked green) & plenty of cheese. Side Note: Chips & salsa were also super good, my favorite type of salsa. Kinda like a Taquera/Molcajete style. I was so hungry that the chips & salsa didn't slow me down from running through my main entree.

The menu features many Mexican food favorites. Enchiladas, burritos, tacos and more. They're cooked well and served in large portions by a helpful server. A note - some of the dishes are plain and include a protein charge. I'm not a huge fan, but I'm okay with it if it's explained. I was confused during my visit because my enchiladas listed a $2.50 protein charge, but the protein charge was for each enchilada not the plate, so my three enchilada plate was $7.50 more than it was listed because I asked for chicken. I don't necessarily feel cheated, however I was surprised when the server gave me the bill. $2.50 is one thing. $7.50 is a lot more.

It's not a large place and only has perhaps four or five booths and a half-dozen tables, and it fills up fast at lunch.
