Mexico Lindo is our old reliable Mexican restaurant. For nearly 20 years, we have eaten here with many of the same staff for just as long. We love their a la carte menu for inexpensive mains without the unnecessary beans and rice when we're feeling cheap, and we love their Mexican specialties when we're feeling bougie. The margaritas are worth the price, the queso is good and we enjoy their salsa, brought to the table in little carafe so we can refill ourselves. We will continue to eat here for as long as they'll let us! They've also recently (in the past few years) renovated and things do look nicer. read more

Yes, There are better Mexican places out there but this place is not bad. The service was excellent and the ambiance was typical of any Tex mex joint. Did it blow my socks off? No...but I would eat there again if the opportunity came up. I walked out stuffed to the brim and had leftovers. The most impressive thing, the dessert plate of sopapillas was only a few bucks. Great meal. Everything you could ask for on the very first try. The shrimp were plump, seasoned, and charred perfectly on one side with the caramelized onions, peppers, and tomatoes. I received four corn tortillas which was the perfect amount. The salsa was fresh and the pico had just the right amount of jalapeño. Loved the guacamole. Nice place, nice waitstaff. This is short but deserving. The bar next door was closed and we needed a place to down a few beers. The service was impeccable, and a nice place for a family visit. I can't speak much to the food, except the chips were delish. And every beer refill came with a fresh frosted mug. I'd come back just for that. read more

Some of the best Mexican I have had in 20 years of traveling. I got the Pollo Escondido. It was awesome. We had the guacamole and it was perfect. I ate with 3 of my coworkers and all of them said the food was great as well. One of my colleagues is from Mexico and he said the food was the real deal. It certainly impressed us. One star is for the the rapid seating The second star for the pleasant attitude of the staff. We were given dirty menus, menus stained with old dried up food from obvious previous visit. The sauce that was given with the chips was what seemed from cans. Not fresh. Cold, but not fresh. Our food was horrible. I thought it was only me, but everyone else had something to say about their meal. Even though the portions are big they lacked taste and freshness. Health Score 57? Odd that the last inspection had 0 Violations yet the health score was 57? How does that work? Maybe it is an average of all their previous inspections? This is our second visit to Mexico Lindo. The last time (pre-covid-19) we dined inside and really enjoyed the food and service. We were getting desperate for restaurant Mexican food so, because of the health score rating of over 50, I thought it was time for another try. For today's to go order we had the Enchiladas Verdes (Three chicken enchiladas with a green salsa, rice and beans) and Pollo Escondido (Grilled chicken with spinach and white cheese, topped with shrimp, rice & beans.) The Enchiladas Verdes were very good and hit the spot for an urgently need Mexican food fix. I really didn't care for the taste of the Pollo Escondido and the 20 minute ride home was not kind to it. The water in the spinach diluted the cheese sauce to a watery soup. Not the restaurant's fault, but I would not recommend getting this meal to go. Beans, rice and guac , all good! The restaurant was VERY generous with the chips and we ordered a side of queso. They make excellent hot and mild salsas. I had to go into the restaurant to pick up the order. I was disappointed that the lady at the cash register was wearing her mask around her chin. I didn't stay in the restaurant long enough to see what the rest of the staff was doing. Now back to the health score. I am still puzzled as to why their health score is 57 with 0 violations on the last inspection. But, in general the health scores of restaurants in the Tulsa area are pathetic! There are only 4 Mexican restaurants that I can find, that can make a score of better than 60. If they can't even pass the minimal county health inspection, how well do you think they are doing in meeting CDC guidelines to protect you and their staff from the virus? So, Yelp reviewers I challenge you to start your review with the health score of the restaurant. It's time to start the wall of shame! Our health and safety is on the line here. Slow service. After telling them I needed a few minutes to look over the menu, that turned into 10 minutes with no one coming to take my order. Tacos were mediocre at best. My meat looked and tasted like reheated leftovers at home. Hoped dessert would redeem the place. Ordered Churros only to have my waiter return a few minutes later to tell me they didn't have them. He suggested Fried Ice cream so I gave it a shot. First of all, it's not fried ice cream if you don't fry it. It was ice cream with raw coconut and uncooked crushed corn flakes served in a waffle bowl. Took two bites and left the rest on the table. Told my server it was terrible and he said nothing but handed me the bill. I don't live here but all my customers warned me that the place has gone downhill. This place is absolute garbage. I had the combination fajitas and I must say they were good. The chips and salsa were just okay in my opinion but that ended up being a good thing as I didn't fill up on them so I could eat all of my fajitas. I will give this restaurant another try to see what the other menu items are like. read more

I ordered takeout for five people. The food was ok but it lacked seasoning. My son ordered fajitas and they only gave him two tortillas for his entire meal!! The salsa tasted like it was made with canned tomato sauce and I'm pretty sure the queso was just warm Velveeta cheese. After reading the great reviews and being in the area for work I thought I would give it a try. I was amazed at the variety of selections and over the fresh salsa and chips (a bit overcooked and dry) I finally chose the Carmita's platter. At $8.99 including rice, beans, some guacamole, and tortillas I was amazed when dinner arrived. The pork was amazingly tender and well seasoned. The rice and beans were well flavored as if made in a home kitchen. I have recently experienced what real Mexican food should taste like ( not the Tex-Mex many expect and want ), I would take any of my friends or family here for a great meal. read more

Great find. Had it delivered through Postmates, and it came with two bags of chips and 6 sauces (2x of each). We got a pork burrito and 2 enchilada orders - supreme and blancas. We also ordered the nachos del mar Which were by far the best decision ever - they had a hearty amount of seafood (seriously, maybe a 3:1 ratio of seafood to nachos which is unheard of) and a ton of cheese. The burrito was really good, the guac serving with it was big, and my friends liked their enchiladas. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely order again. Easily the worst Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. Stopped in on a Friday night around 830pm and felt rushed the entire time. Our server and another server came by and asked us about 5 times within the first 15 mins if we were ready to order. They were extremely rude and continued to rush us. I've never felt so uncomfortable in a restaurant. Additionally the food was extremely bland and disappointing. The only positive of our visit was the quality of the margs, which were tasty and strong. If you want a nice and enjoyable dinner, I'd recommend going elsewhere. read more

The biggest fault is they drop chips and salsa off at your table (you know, like all Mexican restaurants do?) and they charge you for it by the person! We didn't even ask for it!
