Recently had an accident with my daughter who needed to have her front tooth fixed emergency stat. I called up Victory Dental for Kids and spoke with the receptionist, who was very professional and understanding. She asked how soon I could get my daughter in and they would take care of the tooth. When we arrived at the dental office, the receptionist gathered all the necessary information and told us the dentist would be with us shortly. A few moments later the dentist came out, gave us a detailed consultation and provided us with our options. Within a short amount of time, the dentist came out with my daughter, explained everything that happened and she was back to normal. We scheduled a follow up appointment for two weeks later and we'll go from there. Overall, minus the tooth accident, this was a great experience; the entire staff was very accommodating, understanding and informative. I would highly recommend Victory Dental for Kids.

Dr McDonald advised multiple fillings (7) throughout every part of my mouth and a deep cleaning, indicative of the early stages of periodontal disease. There was no actual need for either. Had I not been vigilant about my dental care my entire life, I may not have questioned the recommendation. However, I am retired military and although we have our problems what never faltered is health and dental care for active duty specifically. Although retired, I'm at the dentist every 6 months, give or take without fail. Not only were these services recommended but the good Dr never advised me personally, the receptionist was given the task to inform me IN the waiting room on the day of a scheduled appointment for a cleaning. I demanded that a dentist or at least a hygienist brief me. To their credit, that's exactly what happened. It was determined after an exam and X-rays that neither service was required. I received a cleaning and was on my way. I scheduled a call with Dr McDonald before departure for clarity and although traveling for work, I made it a priority and put it on my calendar. He NEVER called! The Dr there on Saturdays and Sierra were an amazing team. Not because they told me what I wanted to hear but because they spoke to me not AT me and told me the truth. However, as for the owner, there is gross negligence and a pattern of up selling for insurance claims and out-of-pocket costs. As the mom of a physician, I am appalled. BEWARE!

No. It was five years of braces that I didn't need in the first place. Not only did they get me to put braces on my top teeth but also my bottom teeth that had nothing wrong with them to begin with AND I was later told by a dentist that my bottom teeth were extremely undersized to be putting brackets on them. After I had to have my dentist SEND A DOCTORS NOTE ORDERING THEM TO TAKE THE BRACES OFF they finally took them off after a year of me and my grandmother begging them to. Yeah my teeth were slightly straighter. I also had 9 cavities I had to get filled because they refused to ever take off the braces so I could get my teeth properly cleaned. After I got those cavities filled my retainer didn't fit. Orthodontist refused to give me or make me a new one. So now my teeth look the same as before anyways. The old guy who runs it IS CREEPY in my opinion and awkward. I am BEYOND angry with this establishment. I have HORRIBLE gum decay and recession from this entire experience because they were money hungry and cared more about that then the 12 year old's oral health. Talked to Lily 5/19 who told me the reimbursement request would be submitted and that I should expect the check 4-6 weeks. July 15th, sent text for status, no response. July 16th called and spoke to Lily who proceeds to tell me: she read my text and asked Barbara about it. It seems the lady who works remotely (they have a hard time reaching her) didn't submit the request. I then asked if I could speak w/Barbara and was told she's in a meeting. I then asked if there's a corp office she said there isn't one. She then told me looks like there was some kind of system problem so they need to resubmit the request and it will take the bank another 4-6 weeks to process it! I am beyond disgusted with the blame game. Dealing with this billing department has been horrific!! Now it's safe to say they're trying not pay me my money which isn't setting well with me at all. I will NEVER go near another Apex Dental again. *update Waiting for the bone graft to heal before proceeding w/the next step. The reason why I changed to 3 stars is because of their billing process. I've talked to the billing rep and front office on a few occasions because my insurance has been waiting since November for them to submit a narrative and provide the medical necessity so they can pay that portion of the claim and I pay my portion -so far they have not received it yet (I have NO clue why). The next step of this process is going to be more expensive and I can only imagine how difficult it would be for documentation to get sent to the insurer. After a difficult visit at a family dentistry for my youngest child this morning, we were referred…read moreto a pediatric dentist (side note - we are new to this area and I had called multiple pediatric dental offices and NO ONE called me back, including this one, but the number I called was not the one for the NC office which seems to be the one that they answer - I put it on this listing upon adding the business to Yelp). Dr. Shah and her staff were super pleasant from the moment we walked in! This was a huge relief even though I already knew my son has always had a difficult time at dentist visits. He even felt more at ease when we walked in the doors. Our dental tech was in training, but it was totally fine because both technicians worked well together and the preceptor was super friendly, too! Thank goodness because I've seen where preceptors can be harsh to orientees. This was NOT the case and the whole process was quite nice. Multiple X-rays had to be done which previously was a difficult process for my son. He did them just fine. The process was explained to him the whole way through in a way he could understand which was much appreciated!! The exam could have been a disaster, but did you know flavorless paste is a thing? Yup! You don't have to have fake flavored toothpaste to have your teeth cleaned with. My son hates all the flavors so finding out flavorless toothpaste was a thing at the dentist was a game changer! Listen, when I'm telling you going to the dentist with him is difficult, I'm not kidding. I'll take any win we can get and this was a big win! When Dr. Shah came in and introduced herself, my son was a little bit apprehensive, but still felt comfortable enough to let her explain what she needed to do. He even let her put a bite block in his mouth for a procedure we were not anticipating we would need to do today. She took her time with him and never seemed annoyed or impatient at any point. I really appreciated how she handled how he was behaving. I know he was scared (he's previously had some traumatic - to him - dental procedures and he definitely remembers everything) and maybe she recognized it, too. Whatever it was, it was greatly appreciated and I'm so glad my son had a great experience today!

Our son has special needs and certain sensory requirements can be very challenging at most dental offices. This office goes out of their way to make you feel comfortable while delivering excellent care. You're very knowledgeable and helped us set up a dental care plan for our son. My daughter is autistic and she hasn't been to a dentist since she was 2 years old back in Florida. Her first experience was bad which is why I've avoided the dentist for her all these years. Pure Hearts has revived my hope that she can get dental care too. They are fairly new (recently opened in August 2025) therefore they are working with a smaller staff. The office is cozy and everything is brand new! There's a small play area in the waiting room and they offer sensory rooms for your visit. Dr. Simon and the staff were very friendly and patient. I have only one suggestion to improve their service: as they are offering services to special needs children they should incorporate more time between appointments to minimize wait time for those patients. My daughter was getting a little antsy and I was nervous she was going to have an outburst but luckily she didn't. Other children may not be as tolerable. They should be mindful that these children may struggle with long wait time by scheduling to avoid service interruptions or delays. Overall, I'm happy that I found them.
