Auto shop with no guarantee for us, cuts off communications Doc Auto seems to be a very smart mechanic but after $1700 AC repair, the day I drove away from his shop I noticed the repair did not work. I'm unsure if it was misdiagnosed, or if the new parts failed, or if it was just a bad repair. I reached out to him that day, he said to call back but then refused to look over his work on our family ford van and cut all communications. I have tried calling, emailing, sending a certified letter about him looking over his work, and asking if he could check the new parts he bought, or if we could make some deal. I tried to reach him through the Oregon DOJ Consumer complaint with no response. I finally filed for small Claims court, and he pushed up to Jury court which required a lawyer and was getting too expensive. Here is the 1 text response he gave when asked if he would look over his work which was surprising, disappointing and frustrating. "I dont feel that you are a good fit for my shop. I am going to pass on any further work on your van. Good Luck." I would still be happy to come to some kind of arrangement, I have been hoping for many months. read more

The owner has temper issue. After giving him so much business for years, I towed my daughter car to his shop. He was very rude and didn't want to work that day even though he was open and made me tow the car to another shop. on top of it his language was pretty offensiv. using the F-word on his custome. Watched the owner's dog nearly get hit by a car. When we tried to make sure the dogs were safe and the business owner yelled at us. If this is how the owner treats people trying to help I can't imagine how awful he must be to customers. Take your business elsewhere. read more

First of all, I honestly believe the owner has a serious issue that causes him to suddenly get angry. On that I hope that he gets help. That said, I will never go back. Never trust him again. I had used his services for myself and my friends. Below is my observations: 1. He is not a repairman, he replaces parts. That's it. 2. He takes jobs that are relatively easy and require replacing parts. He did a break job on my freind's newer car and replaced everything but rear view mirror. 3. If there is a job that requires a mechanical expertly and talent and perhaps some low risk, he won't touch it and excuse himself out of it. Works on easy jobs to make money on parts and labor 4. He suddenly closes his shop for one month. He doesn't answer his phone, text and doesn't have a voicemail that indicates that. Strange.... 5. I towed my car to his shop, he is sitting in there looking out of the window and says he doesn't touch anything for the next two weeks. I towed my car to another shop, the mechanic adjusted the distributor the next day and no more problem. Charged me $60. He showed me how easily he adjusted the timing in 30 minutes. 6. Wayne works himself to anger. I asked him a few questions about my van. It's ok for him to say, no I don't fix this issue because that's not the best thing to do. I would have understood that and thanked him too, but he suddenly got so angry and said I'm not going to touch that. Very rude and disrespectful. Needless to say, on the same van my brother in law replaced two spark plugs and two coils and we have been driving it since. All in all, he betrayed my loyalty and showed he has no respect for his customers. He made thousands on my cars and my friends car. We won't use him again. 7. Doc helped me immensely when I broke down on the side of the road and needed a new alternator. He replaced it and payed for/ arranged the tow truck up front (as a broke college student, this was huge!). Doc even fought with the warranty company for me, which was also huge!! 11/13/2017 I came here today for an oil change and an inspection for a 90,000.00 mile service for my Kia Soul. That I had previously scheduled over the phone. Wayne seemed friendly at first but when he put my vehicle up on the lift started saying things like my tires were toast. I bought them new in 08/2016. I have the receipt right here in front of me. He started spouting off about too many red flags and not getting good information. I have receipts to show the work I have had done previously and I bought the tires new. He told me he knew for a fact the tires were at least 6 or 7 years old.... I bought them brand new in August of 2016!! I have the receipts, I maintain my vehicles well and i always save receipts. Anyways he put my vehicle down and backed it out and shut the door. I had money and was going to pay him, but I guess he didn't want it. It was flabbergasting and upsetting, but whatever I will just use a different mechanic. There are good ones everywhere. I do not know what his problem is, but do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. 11/14/2017 He responded and what he said is just not true. I told him I had the receipts, they were in my glove box in my vehicle. I told him my car needed an alignment, the brakes work fine. I just had the brakes checked less than 2 months ago when I had a tire go flat, and it was replaced under warranty. I was told they were fine. He can make excuses all he wants. I have the receipts and was fully honest with him. All he did was waste my time. He never asked if I put lots of miles on my car. I work from home but have family 30 miles from me, I also drive 200 miles round trip every other week to get my son for visitation. This obviously adds up after a while... I just had my drive belt/serpentine belt examined today at a shop in Hillsboro, Oregon where I live. I was told it has plenty of life left in it. They crack as they wear down, but there is in no way a rush to replace it. I also had my oil changed and there was no mention of it being low, I asked. My other fluids were checked as well, including the break fluid...It was a little low on coolant but that was fixed. I have my oil changed every 5000 miles, running full synthetic oil. I also did not ask to watch, Wayne invited me to watch him. I was happy to sit in his office. 11/15/2017 I am sitting in the parking lot of my tire company as i type this edit.The newer tire is at 9/32nd tread, and the other 3 are at 6/32nd of tread. Which is nowhere near as bad as Wayne made it seem. I have plenty of miles left on the tires. The tires start out with 10/32nd tread. The tires have a 60,000 mile tread warranty, and I only have 30,000 miles on them. I also always get them rotated every 5,000 miles with oil changes. I just got an alignment with this last tire rotation, and the pull and vibration are now 100% gone! read more

I came by because my car was making a weird noise. When I came it was 8:45am(they open at 8) and the guy was sitting outside in a chair listening to music... I described the issue and asked if he had a chance to look it, he said he didnt that he was slammed! Their was MAYBE 5 cars in the lot and that is while sharing a lot with the neighboring plumbing company... I called Wayne on the phone after receiving a quote for service from a local dealer. Wayne was able to give me a quote over the phone and explain what was going on with my Jeep Wrangler. His quote was less than half of the Dealer Service Center, and he was able to get me in within a couple days and finished the work very quickly. He showed me all the parts he needed to replace and explained again what was going on and why. He even called a few days after the service was completed to check in and make sure everything was ok. Would never trust my vehicle with anyone else. Brought my vehicle to him due to the A/C malfunctioning. He went ahead and inspected the entire vehicle and gave me a fair price on all repairs needed.
