When they say they will be done with your care, they mean it. i never have to wait extra long, and they seem to be always moving and getting stuff done. Made an appointment for my daugher for a free trip safety check. Her tire tire pressue monitoring system sensor had come on and she was encouraged to replace the sensor (for $94). As she drove out of the parking lot, sensor was on again. She immediately went back and told them the sensor did not fix the problem. She was told that it must be another issue so basically she paid $94 for nothing. I called the next morning and spoke to manager and asked if they guarantee their work after the car leaves the parking lot. He told me the sensors are guaranteed for 3 years but that, of course, is assuming they fixed the correct sensor which obviously was not the case. I told him I believe a refund would be fair to which he responded "bring the car back but in order to receive a refund they will take out the sensor they had put in." Really? I suspect this is a $15 part and for that we spent 1-1/2 hours waiting for them to remove the sensor, on top of the 1 hour the day before to install it incorrectly. We will now take the car to the Lexus dealership which I'm sure will fix the issue with more competency. Our family has been coming to Les Schwab for 40+ years, 3 generations of customers they alienated in a few hours. None of us will be back....EVER. read more

I would not recommend this Les Schwab location on Walker in Beaverton, OR. The customer service is not the same if you are a person of color. In my experience, there is clear discrimination. I personally felt treated differently and unfairly compared to other customers. Everyone deserves to be treated with respect, but that was not my experience at this location. read more

Everything went pretty well but I noticed a gentleman with a disability opening the door for himself. Now there's no problem with this -- until I noticed they have a logo for accessibility when there door DOES NOT have the actual function for it to open automatically with button...I mentioned it to the woman before I left who kindly let the gentleman out the door later because she had also noticed. I have never had bad service with a Les Schwab. I've been going to them since I was an adult and my parents have always used them. Excellent customer services all the way around. I needed new tires and they helped me choose what was beat for me and my price range I also needed an alignment and they got me right in the next day before a long trip I needed to make. Professional, courteous and all around an amazing experience. I will never go anywhere else. Came for an alignment and to get some of my concerns checked out. Was aggressively told I didn't have any idea why I was talking about. The focus of my appointment was changed for no reason. Great job on the alignment, but uhhhh tried to get me for 9000$ of BS repairs. Went to another mechanic paid 1200 for a list of small issues + a battery and an oil change. They checked everything on the Les Schwab estimate and called it all out. Wouldn't go here again. read more

I went in to get a slow leak in my tire fixed. I purchased the tires from Costco, but could never get in to get the repair done. Appointments booked and long wait times. I walked into the Walker Road Les Schwab store, they took my car in immediately and had the leak fixed in 45 minutes. Two large staples removed and tire patched. On check out I find that there is NO CHARGE! Even though I did not buy the tires here, they fixed my leak for FREE!. Excellent customer service. I just got a flat tire and brought the car to Les Schwab for a walk in repair. Within about an hour, they had inspected the tire and then repaired it. Great experience at this location, and this is the third or fourth time. On this occasion went in with some excessive wear, on 65k warranty tire, with 40k actually on them. They were able to prorate a discount into new tires, and installed them same day. When tires were done they sent me text, I went back to store, ran through new warranty and away I went. I always appreciate the service at Les Schwab, they are always friendly and ready to help as soon as I cross the doorway. This year I needed to buy chains for all the vehicles since we purchased new cars last year. I wanted to beat any rush that always occurs when there is any sign of snow coming and wanted to avoid any lines due to a rush. They were very well staffed and I waited no more then 1 min as they cruised through customers quickly. I gave the employee my tire size needs and she went through all the options and suggestions also. In no time at all I was out the door and on my way to my next errand. He told me my tire had plenty of tread left, and that they wouldn't approve it through my fleet service. Then he said they might approve 2 tires only. Then he said he'll check. Then he told me they didn't have the tire in stock and said it could take a week, when I said I can wait, he told me to check somewhere else. Awful business practice, condescending and flat out calling me stupid when there's ZERO tread left on my tire? Hard pass on this place. If he didn't feel comfortable or wasn't knowledgeable enough to use fleet services just tell me sorry, can't do it, I would have said no problem. Man what can I say. I went in for a battery installation and it was placed incorrectly, twice. Caused a few blown fuses. I get it. Why 5 stars. Because I work with people all the time. Humans make mistakes, that's part of life. Instead of allowing me to get angry, they gave me a small roadmap and assured me it was going to be fixed. They Went to O'Reillys down the road for fuses and worked that evening and following day to ensure that the issue was fixed. They held themselves accountable and let me know if I have any power issues in the near future to let them know. AJ let me know I wouldn't be left hanging after all this. Yea they messed up. But they did their best to fix it and I appreciate it. They are a kind group as well. I'd go back. read more

When I showed up at this location the staff members were courteous and prompt. My tire was taken a look at and everything was fixed in 40 minutes maybe less. Best of all, fixing my flat tire (nail)was completely free. I'm so grateful for this service and know that when I need tires this is the first place I will come to look! Thank you! I needed a new battery in my Ford Escape. Usually an easy task, Ford upped it a notch in difficulty therefore needing professionals. First place I called said they didn't have the tools so I called Les Schwab on Walker Road. They told me to come over now. I could see the work being done. It was a complete operation and took nearly an hour. Why should changing a battery be like this? Anyway grateful for their quick and kind service. read more

The brake icon on my dash lit up so I stopped by the Les Schwab on Walker Rd. They checked my car out and said that my brake fluid was dirty and that I needed to make an appointment to come in for a brake fluid flush. I went home and my husband look up in our records and we had the fluid replaced at the dealer a couple of months ago. The fluid looked clean and he topped it off and problem solved. read more

Tire was a year old when low pressure light came on. Filled tire at nearest gas station, less than one mile. Drove care home, 2.5 miles. Flat in morning. Waited for Les Schwab appointment. Filled tire with air before heading two miles to Les Schwab. Told that tire was destroyed by driving on it. Showed me crumbing rubber in tire. My gut told me this was a scam but I went ahead and bought not one but two new tires. I asked for the second tire they removed that was newish and fine to be put in trunk. These were $249 tire. Got home, no tire. Called them and when opened went to pick up tire. It was in yellow bag. Now, two weeks and found a cheap tire was in the bag, not my tire. The store which advertises itself as the home of the Free Flat Repair charged me $20 yesterday to fix a flat at 158th and Walker Road... AFTER fixing my flat and WITHOUT disclosing the fee up front. What gives? UPDATE: The store called me today after reading my comment on their website and left a message. I thought maybe they'd be making an outreach to make things right, but I was told when I returned the call that they decided to charge me for the flat repair because i have not bought tires there for the cars I own at present. It's funny; Nothing on their website or in their advertisements makes such a disclaimer. Their website reads "Whether your tire is looking a little low or is downright flat, bring it in to your nearby Les Schwab. We patch, plug or fix most repairable tires free of charge to get you back on the road." I don't see an asterisk after "most repairable tires" directing me to a footnote which reads "*with purchase of a qualifying set of tires". I guess the sign outside the store which reads We Want To Earn Your Trust is just platitudes? read more

Les Schwab is my tire place. Here is why: They are nice. They explain things to me. They don't up sell. Today after an ordeal involving a shredded tire, a stuck lugnut, and a towtruck they sold me a used tire for $60. It's roughly the age of the other three and if I don't like it for some reason I can go back and they will help me work it out. There are tables to sit at, free popcorn for the bored teen, clean restrooms, and I had bars on my cellphone . All in all a reasonable method to solve the hell that was my ripped up tire. I have been going to the Walker Rd Les Schwab since late 2000 and I wouldn't go anywhere else for tires and tire maintenance. They have done the right thing for me time and again without ever trying to make a hard sell. Here are my two favorite experiences at this location over the past 11+ years. Anecdote #1: The month after I moved to Portland, my tire developed a slow leak. A co-worker immediately suggested Les Schwab and I was blown away when they fixed the leak for free without an appointment. They still treat customers like this today. I never saw behavior like this in Ohio. Anecdote #2: My latest visit was great. I brought in my Jeep due to a slow leak in my tire and they (again) fixed it without question. However, I had asked them about new tires since I wasn't happy with the ones on my SUV...which still had tread. I nearly had to sell THEM that I needed the new tires. When we finally agreed on new tires, the manager recommended the LEAST expensive tires of my three choices. The office isn't anything spectacular, but they have free wireless and the employees are pleasant. The wait times are usually reasonable too. read more

I thought about going to Costco for my tires (as a loyal former employee), but out of the few tires I wanted last year, only the super expensive ones were worth it (~$700 for 4). So I waited. I'd never been to Les Schwab. My brother worked at Discount Tire years ago as one of his first jobs and places like that seem to be busy all the time. No. They're just slow. And they are cheap labor. And they stink. And they try to sell me stupid things when I came in for just one thing. Les Schwab did not try to sell me anything. They were fair and honest to every single person in the store. They told me to go with the cheapest set because it was still excellent and I don't drive a lot. I went with a set a bit better than they recommended and they also said I should get an alignment, but I have places to go and things to see and that requires an appointment. They're usually booked for the next 2 days (just FYI). They were totally professional and I was there less than an hour. Long enough to avoid the popcorn. read more

I was having my tired checked. It took a couple hours to get back to me, which seems like a long time.

I stopped by about a month back for a flat repair. The lady at the front desk seemed annoyed to be there. She got really frustrated because none of my info in their system was current. When I asked to change the info she let out a big sigh. It took over an hour for a flat repair when there were only a couple of cars there and that's not really a big deal. I left there thinking I will avoid this Les Schwab in the future. Let's jump forward to last night when I checked all my tire pressure and found all my tires to be inflated 20-25 psi over what the vehicle door tag says to inflate the tire to. Even though the tires are rated for that psi, the manufacturer recommends specific tire pressures based on the size and weight of the vehicle. The door tag on my SUV says 36 psi and this Les Schwab filled all my tires up to about 60. So now I'm driving around on very over inflated tires which one, reduced traction (it's winter) and two, the tires will wear way faster. So either this Les Schwab hires idiots, doesn't train its employees well, or this place is crooked and trying to wear out customers' tires faster. I doubt that's the case but either way, I won't go back to this location. read more

Horrible customer service! I spoke with asst manager Kyle about an old Invoice I found for a part still under warranty. I explained why the odometer reading had been skewed as when a 1984 gmc/Cadillac vehicle rolls over 100k miles its a digit off. So on the receipt it says 7145 which was really 117,145 he argued we have to go by the receipt. The vehicle only has 130,230 miles so parts still under warranty. Offered part number he abruptly said it's too old to find. He was just completely unhelpful and this isn't my first unpleasant encounter at this location. I called another location spoke with a manager he totally understood about the year of vehicle and odometer reading asked me for the part number from receipt and pulled it right up! Umm but Kyle claimed it was too old. Parts still under warranty and will be replaced. Just crappy customer service and NOT how customers should be treated. Not all customers are idiots and when someone is trying to explain something maybe you should listen and not argue! read more
