    Hawaiian Empanada, $2.9
    Kiki C.

Stopped by on a sunny day to satisfy my craving for empanadas, only because my boss said the catering empanadas we got from Empanadas Mama was not good empanadas lol For empanadas, we got the Hawaiian, Buffalo chicken and beef, $2.9 each. Came with two sauces. I liked all of them for being flavorful and not dry. Also got a churro. I think it's dusted with only white sugar, with no cinnamon. For people who don't like strong cinnamon flavor, this is a great treat!

TLDR; it's good, go now This is a place that's easy to pass. I used a GPS and passed it myself. It's a mistake to not come here. The empanadas are made quickly and they're fresh. The workers are kind and give you the vibe like you've been there every day which is comforting. There is a temptation to gatekeep this treasure but it's too good to hide. The Hawaiian is the best one imo but there's something for everyone. The sauces are great too. If you really like one in particular, get two of them because you'll want more even if you're full!

Everything here is top notch. The food. The service. Even the music. There's games to play if you go with a group of people. Comfortable seating and even outdoor seating. The owner Fernando and his wife are great people and make all of the food that you order. It's absolutely delicious and I think the best empanadas I have ever tasted. I love empanadas and I always try them wherever they are offered and these are the best. I highly recommend. And give them a follow on Instagram because they don't really promote on there but should definitely start!! And they deserve the following.

Came here at the recommendation of a friend and they are the best Empanada's I've ever had. I will be coming here again, often. The owner Fernando was super friendly as well!

Doce Empanada is another place that I've had bookmarked for the longest time. I happen to be in the neighborhood and finally got a chance to drop in. Now that I know what I've been missing, I will drop in more often! Doce Empanada offers a variety of 12 different empanadas, handmade churros, and other sweets & beverages. (See my photo for current menu - prices have increased slightly, but not too bad). I was impressed with the spacious interior. Open & airy, clean & inviting. They even have boardgames on the tables. A game night with empanadas and cool music!?!? I ordered a variety of empanadas for takeout, and really appreciated that each empanada came in their own labeled wax paper envelope; keeping the empanadas crispy and easy to identify. These envelopes were then placed in a nice protection box. Quality ingredients with quality packaging! Here are the four empanadas I tried: Chicken, Beef, Spinach & Ricotta, and Sausage & Peppers. Honestly, I loved them all. They all had distinctive, tasty flavors. I actually would have preferred more bold flavors, but that's just my personal preference. The empanadas were on the small side but were fully stuffed with filling. Not bad at $2.65 each! Sauce: the sign states that you get your choice of 1 sauce per 3 empanadas but I actually got 1 sauce per 2 empanadas. (Yay!) Each additional sauce will be an extra 50¢ each. I automatically chose the green sauce without actually looking at the other option. I was surprised that their green sauce wasn't the usual mayo based sauce, but an herb & oil based sauce. It was delicious and reminded me of Chimichurri sauce! Yummm The other sauce was a pinkish mayo based sauce. Next time, I'll try that one also! But the empanadas were delicious with no sauce also! Customer service was friendly, welcoming and efficient! I look forward to a return visit to try the other empanadas and their handmade churros!

Love this quaint and cozy spot. They have good food, welcoming service, awesome house music and games. Highly recommend the beef and spinach/ricotta empanadas!

TAKE DOS Dare you to just take 2 of these delicious badboys because these are so addicting... At $2.65 a pop, they're great and satisfying. You can easily fill up on 3-4 of 'em. FLAVORS - Spinach & ricott' - my fave! Absolutely delicious - Veggie - Lovely. Flavorful - Beef - my friend said it was pretty good - Ham & Cheese - my friend said it wasn't bad Friendly owner, clean and spacious interior, nice bathroom, and even a cozy seating area outside. Take two! Recommended: Spinach, beef

My husband and I had an awesome experience at Doce! Owners Erika and Fernando were so welcoming and made our first time here very memorable! The food was all delicious and the coffee gave me the caffeine jolt I needed. We tried: -the choripan (Argentinian sausage with chimichurri on a soft baguette) -beef empanada -shrimp empanada -bbq pork empanada -Taste of Heaven pastry (dulce de leche) Everything had so much incredible flavor and was prepared fresh to order. The chimichurri and pink sauces on the side added just the burst flavor needed to compliment the empanadas. The coffee was excellent, as well. We enjoyed everything so much we got 6 empanadas to go (they even give you directions on how to warm them up at home). Fernando and Erika are wonderful, and have created such a chill spot to relax and enjoy their good eats! Highly recommend Doce!

I've been coming here for about 7 years. I buy these Nata's by the dozen; for gift items or whenever I need a group dessert. They are a guaranteed hit every single time! I even bring several dozen everytime I visit relatives who live in MA! Current Prices (as of 5/2026): $2.25 per Nata $27 per Dozen There have recently been a slew of Macau-Style Portuguese Egg Tart places opening up all over Flushing, Queens. All of these new bakeries are Asian owned, and part of Asian bakery chains renowned from different parts of Asia. (You should see the lines at these bakeries in Flushing!). Very innovative, with unique flavored egg tarts (Ube, tiramisu, green tea, etc). But I think the plain, original Nata's from Bakers of All Nations is still the best. Alot of the new Macau-Style tarts are very good but I'm biased to Baker of All Nation's version. They never disappoint! They are always fresh and sometimes still warm from the oven!

For my second visit, I ordered the Bacalhau a Narcisa. That was a mistake. I wish I'd ordered the Bacalhau Assado na Brasa instead. Though constantly picking bones out of my meal aside, the fish itself was pretty bland. My brother also thought his meal was bland (he ordered the Paelha). He didn't even want to take his leftovers home. The restaurant was also uncomfortably warm the whole time. It was a mild day, and yet it didn't feel like the AC in the place was turned on at all. I nearly complained to our waiter. I might be willing to give this place one more shot, but definitely for dinner. And I don't think I'll be going with the bacalhau next time.
