We both took the entire day off for this apt. Days off work are not easy to come by. We had heard really good things about this vet practice but we didn't get that from our experience. I would like to note this office tried to move our apt earlier in the week which they changed their minds and kept the apt. My guess is they needed my time slot for someone else.

Maybe she had some personal emergency to deal with and didn't think about the business. I picked her because of the 5 star rating she had, but I had to wait 12 hours to call (because I thought someone would answer during business hours) while my pet suffered, and then got no response at all. Two unit units was too much for a cat that hadn't been eating and he went into hypoglycemic shock and died that night at a vet ER. I feel like they just assumed that I would know stuff about insulin, but people need to remember that not everyone knows about the things that they encounter daily. They never followed up or gave any advice on gradually increasing it. I'm pretty devastated and blaming myself because I gave him the dose. If anyone who works there reads this, I hope you just keep in mind that some of us who come in have no idea about these medications and need guidance. They knew he wasn't eating and they should've known this would happen.

They are patient and welcoming with animals of all personalities, which has always made visits feel less stressful. I will say that as they have grown and added more staff, the quality of service has gone down slightly, with staff not always following up with results unless you call, and similar issues. However, the quality of care makes these shortcomings easy to overlook.

Do NOT take your pet to kierland for surgery. They cut corners and you will spend a lot more fixing their mistakes down the road.

He mentioned that they are purposely a lower volume facility so they can give more individual attention to each pet. I was kept updated by text/phone the whole time after I dropped my kitty off. Then I met with Dr. Adrian afterwards to discuss what happened during the procedure. He showed me photos inside my cat's mouth as well as xrays they took. He gave me his phone number to contact if I have any concerns about my kitty in the next few days since the office would be closed for a long weekend. Yes, I paid an arm and a leg overall (4 teeth were extracted and veterinary specialists aren't cheap!) But the one benefit of the high cost was the individualized care and peace of mind it gave me.
