Drove into Kennebunkport in search of coffee and found the perfect place here at Dock Square Coffee House. Step aside Starbucks, having a Dock Square coffee felt like I was taking in a part of the local atmosphere. The cozy space had some seating but also feel like a grab and go kinda place. On my recent visit I ordered an iced chai late with oat milk. It was surprisingly inexpensive. The same drink would cost me a dollar more at my favorite local coffee shop in a small town in Indiana. The baristas are all super nice too. They got a delivery of beans during my visit and asked if it was okay for them to put them in the attic. The pull-down ladder for the attic wasn't even that close to me, so it wasn't really necessary for them to ask. That's how nice they are. Their super thoughtful gesture also gave me a unique look at their storage system and how they work as a team to load their coffee bags into the attic. For those driving here, there is some street parking and a lot behind Alisson's that is a quick walk. I've also found it's easier to find parking earlier in the morning. read more

I love this tiny little coffee shop in Kennebunkport. They stock a few varieties of coffee from CBD (Coffee by Design, Portland), and in particular a dark roast called Ocean Avenue Blend, which is my favorite. This might only be available here, I have not seen it at CBD in Portland. As a bonus, if you buy a bag of coffee, they give you a free coffee, hot or iced! The place is usually very busy, and the shop is small, so best to wait outside a bit until there is more space inside. I have not had a chance to try any of the mixed coffee drinks, but the basics and the selection of bagged coffee is what makes this a hit for me. read more

We will start off by saying the young man behind the counter was delightful. The blonde lady making the coffee would rather get the "closed" sign out before another customer could come in. Not sure why you would close a coffee shop at 4:00 pm on a busy fall day?? We were made to feel unappreciated and unwelcome. I am so happy the owner agreed with me when she wrote, "Even an almost finished latte doesn't look like the picture you took." It is definitely not a picture of my husband's coffee as the owner accused me of when she wrote, "It's the picture of your husband's drip coffee." I wrote the review because she added insult to injury when she accused me of doing something I had not done afterI told her there was not enough oat milk in the latte. Her staff who made the coffee doesn't know how to make a latte and instead of owning it, she accused me of something I have NEVER done. She wanted to charge me for additional oat milk and I told her I would pay it, even after I initially paid for oat milk and as you can see, I was given very little oat milk. The owner has an inability to own her staff's lack of training in making a latte. Keep reading the reviews below. Was just at the Dock Square Coffee House and while I typically abide by the "if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all" rule, this experience needs to be shared. Holding empty cups of coffee from Mornings in Paris just down the street, my wife and I were headed for a final cup before the shops closed. We chose the Coffee House because we'd hadn't been there yet. There is a candy shop next door and my wife was taking a phone call, so I sent her ahead to the coffee house where they had a small table out front, so she could set our bags down while I grabbed candy. I walked up, candy in hand, as she was picking up her bags, and the employee came out because she was closing up. Rather than invite us in, she immediately said, "this table is for Coffee House customers only, so move along." Funny... we'd intended to be just that, but now you literally couldn't pay me to get a cup of coffee there.
