I visited Fiafia while on a foodie tour with Maine Day Ventures. On the tour, I enjoyed the mixed berry smoothie. This included blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries mixed with almond milk. It was the perfect smoothie since it features Maine blueberries. Although a small store, you could tell that Fiafia has a large following. People were consistently visiting throughout the day. Waited 30 minutes for two lattes. I very nicely asked them about the status of the order after waiting twenty minutes as we had somewhere to be, and told them we had been waiting twenty minutes and we needed to be somewhere, and they gave no apology and took their time with the order. After we finally picked up our drinks, they still did not apologize and the barista thanked us for our patience, but his tone seemed very passive aggressive. I was almost hesitant to give this 5 stars, as I think they'd greatly benefit from an order ahead system (the line takes at minimum 20 minutes and then another 20 minutes for your coffee/smoothie to be prepared). However, I am giving them 5 stars because their smoothies are incredible. Got their white lavender mocha iced, at first the coffee was super strong and bitter, but as I kept drinking it mellowed out, not sure if my taste buds were acclimating or if it was all in my head. This spot is centrally located on the main strip in town and is easy to walk to but not easy to drive to. We ordered two coffees, avocado toast, and a smoothie bowl and it was $32. The meal was pricey for breakfast (in my opinion) but the food was great. The down side to this spot is the service, lack of seating space (there are only 3 tables to sit at, first come first serve), and the lack of parking spots. As stated above, if you are staying in town it would be an easy walk but if you are out by the beach, I suggest passing on this place. read more

Had high hopes for our visit to Fiafia but sadly it was overhyped and the reviews were far from accurate for the food and the experience. The two açaí bowls we ordered were subpar at best, the toast was better but the service was pretty bad. The young ladies working there could learn a lesson or three in customer service, or opt for a job outside of the service industry. read more

Refused to serve me after I mentioned I have an allergy to a fruit that was not contained in my order. They made me aware that they cannot guarantee cross contamination (through their blenders, etc), which I was fine with due to the nature of my allergy. I requested they prepare my order as listed on the menu without accidentally adding my allergen. However they still did not allow me to order and would not allow me to purchase any item from the menu. Absolutely horrible customer service. My husband later went inside and purchased the food for me, and it was delicious but not worth the emotional turmoil. read more

I head to Fia Fia at least three times each week. The people are amazing - Monica + Riley always leave my days brighter than when I arrived. And the PB choc smoothie is TO DIE FOR. My kids (21 months + 5 years) love their smoothies too (greeney with PB added is another fav). It's the perfect place to meet a friend or the perfect snack to bring somewhere. Ditto to reviews saying this is the slowest coffee place ever despite having no less than four people behind the counter, and they will randomly forget some of your items. I order a regular black drip coffee and instead of grabbing a cup and pouring it like any other coffee place on earth, they write out a slip and put it in with the stack of food orders and specialty drinks that need to be made. So I end up waiting 15 minutes for a mediocre coffee that could have been poured and handed to me in seconds. To add insult to injury, they completely miss one of the two drinks in our order and we had to leave without it because we were late for a reservation. This happens every time we go (exact same nonsense back in June when we were up there) so we are just not going back. These folks aren't even smart enough to read their Yelp reviews and shape up their act. read more
