It was a no-go because of the vibe and so we were off to scout the second spot. Maybe in a normal day, we wouldn't be in the mood to wander but as it was, it was the space we were in. As we were getting ready to cross the street, I noticed the porch of Oaks Bluff Inn and we thought, hmmmm is this our spot? We came in and called the number and connected with the owner. We are checked in, have walked the town, gotten back in time for cookies & lemonade, and now getting ready for dinner out. We are going to buy a lotto ticket because we feel really happy and lucky to have found Oak Bluffs Inn and Erik. Thank you for the hospitality and being the very right spot for the first night of our holiday!!

Unfortunately, most days we were there it was foggy, but beautiful nonetheless. We visited off season. She gave us ideas on things we can do, since we took our car on the ferry over to the island. The beach house was cozy and quiet. Every morning when we woke up, we smelled and were offered fresh baked cookies. I would absolutely come back here again.

Perfect location, beautiful views of the Oaks Bluff harbor from our 3rd floor room balcony. We took advantage of the comfortable porches to people watch and view the breathtaking sunsets. Quiet despite being right on the street. Our room was very nicely decorated, spacious, extremely comfy beds, great shower and amazing A/C! Overall very cozy and quaint! The bathroom was tiny , though modernized, but could have been made a bit more functional if there was a second towel rack where guests could hang their bath towels away from their hand towels, allowing them to dry better. Another feature that would be helpful would be a few small shelves that guests could keep their toiletries on since the pedestal sink has no room for anything other than the hand soap. They serve breakfast every morning consisting of assorted bagels and English muffins. There is also coffee, juice and fresh fruit, along with hard boiled eggs, egg cups and muffins. Scrambled eggs /waffles are available upon request. The breakfast was very good and most guests enjoyed their meal on the large front porch in the rocking chairs or bistro tables. The staff is very pleasant and friendly. The place has a very laid back vibe as does the whole town. We will be back!

They are spot on. We initially booked 3 nights and thankfully our room was open for another so we added a 4th. We stayed in the Millie - on the 2nd floor of the main house - queen bed and an oversized bathroom with twin sinks and lovely tiled bench shower. Kathleen and Frank are amazing hosts - you'll instantly take to them as they are so cordial and easy to get along with. Both know the island so well and can offer many recommendations for recreation and dining. Kathleen has a number of relationships with island businesses and she uses them to your advantage. If you want to rent a car, Kathleen calls and negotiates the best possible rate for you and then arranges for the car to be delivered. Breakfast is always a treat with a daily hot entree such as Portuguese sweetbread french toast, Frittata, or eggs benny. Make sure she makes her ebelskivers - a Danish, filled mini-pancake. Deelish!! The Kottage is small - 3 rooms total - so book early ... and often!
