Based on many great reviews on Nextdoor.com, I decided to use Doc's of Denver to clean the very soiled carpets in my two story home. First of all, the receptionist who answered the phone was friendly and efficient. She was able to schedule a team to come out within 48 hours. I never expected such fast service. Josh and Daniel came to my home right on time and thoroughly explained both the products and the procedures which they were going to use. I have pets, and I was worried that the cleaning solution might adversely affect my pets. I had no reason to worry, however, and the guys allayed my fears. Josh and Daniel finished the job in less than two hours. The many years' worth of stains and soil were completely gone! It was like they performed magic. I never expected that I would see the carpets appear so clean. I kept repeating to the guys," I can't believe this!!" They did an exceptional job. The price was very reasonable for the amount of dirt that needed to be removed. I recommend Doc's of Denver enthusiastically. I have no words for the interaction I just had Docs of Denver's office manager, Katy. I reached out via email to get pricing information on upholstery cleaning for my couch. She let me know it was $20-$30 per linear foot. I sent over the exact dimensions of my couch and asked for confirmation that this project would be $260 at $20/ft. She replied and confirmed this pricing an estimate. Fast-forward to today and our cleaner (who was absolutely wonderful and had nothing to do with this) let me know that the project would be $25 per foot and that is the only option offered. Now, this isn't a crazy difference In price, but I feel extremely misled from my email exchanges with Katy about the price. I gave Katy a call while our cleaner was here to clear up any confusion about the price. She didn't answer for 15 minutes. When she did answer, She immediately got defensive over the email exchange sighting that I was being hypothetical about the price for the project. I told her that she confirmed the $20 per foot at $260 and she was not apologetic about the confusion and instead was aggressive with me, saying that I was putting words in her mouth. I asked her if they could do this for $20 per foot as she noted in the email, otherwise I was not gonna move forward. She said that she was gonna look into it, but then completely switched up and told me that she just didn't want to do the project anymore even while the cleaner was there, wasting my time and his. Economically say that I have never had such a bad interaction with a business before nonetheless a local business that I wanted to support. I truly cannot believe 1) the business was willing to mislead me on a price when I felt I was very clear in my email exchange and 2) treated me the way they did on that phone call. I work in marketing, and work with a lot of consumer complaints and questions. Even if you don't agree with the customer, it's important to hear them out, understand where things could've been misinterpreted and offer a solution. The fact that she didn't do any of this and instead attacked me and just cancelled the job while the cleaner was there was absolutely absurd. Again, none of this has to do with the cleaner himself as he was wonderful and tried his best offer resolutions so we could get the job done. My complaint is specifically about the office manager, Katy. I hope that this business can take this seriously and really learn treat their customers with respect. If they reply to this is anything like the reaction over the phone, they're going to be defensive and say that I'm in the wrong. If that's the case, they truly did not learn from this review. Cat urine on a custom sofa was horrifying. Talked with Katie who made every effort to schedule a convenient appointment. She reviewed the issues with cat urine explaining that it, sometimes, takes two visits. She was absolutely correct. The second treatment solved the issue. No more smell in the house or cushion! We first used this company 2 years ago, at that time they did an amazing job and removed every stain from our sofa. For this reason we rehired them to clean the same sofa and a chair/ottoman. I'm not sure what the difference was it seems that not a single stain was actually cleaned from the couch. Will not be using in the future. Their office called to say they were running behind by over an hour - so I appreciated the 'heads up' and it was not a problem. They cleaned an old Ethan Allen loveseat that was a muted yellow and had a ton of pet hair - dog & cats'. Some of the older stains lightened but they got most of them out and did a really good job defuzzing the piece. What surprised me and disappointed me is that they didn't clean up the black shoe marks that left a trail from the front door to my kitchen on my light oak floors!!!! I don't understand that at all. Two young-ish guys - one chatty - strangely so - the other 'down to business' serious and professional. If you hire them make sure they clean up after themselves! read more

They scheduled an appointment to come look at our space and give us an accurate quote, went over some options and then were out within a few days for the actual service. When Doc's technician arrived to clean my one year old $50/yd carpet (no pets, no smoking, and carpet only in non-food areas) I asked him to remove his shoes. He refused and said the cleaning process made the carpets so wet he had to leave his shoes on .... and he wasn't kidding!! It took almost 3 days to dry and my specialty bound carpet protector pieces were all apparently "drowned" in the process. All the sticky backing is gone; the pieces float all over and have to be replaced. But WAIT ... after the technician left, spots appeared in random places on the carpet, some of which had always been covered by the protector carpets. The spots stained the previously unstained carpet! Doc's sent the same technician back who then left bleached out spots where the stains were - but not before Doc's manufactured every possible, ridiculous story they could conjure for how I got the spots on the carpet!!! Hey Doc's - your technician walked in here with his shoes on, refused to take them off, and carried stains all over my carpet. Then YOU pointed the finger at ME. I have LOTS of opportunity to recommend carpet cleaners .... DON'T USE DOC'S unless you plan to replace your carpet like I have to. read more

We benefited from an upgrade to our carpet over twenty years ago due to a defect in the carpet that was installed in our new home. We were told by the woman that helped us to use Docs of Denver for the carpet cleaning and not to use anyone else. That's what we have done for all of these years and the carpet has held up well. A few months ago we had two serious carpet accidents about the same time. One of our dogs got into an organic fertilizer in the garden and vomited, and not just a little. It was a dark brownish green on top of a pale carpet. The second accident happened when some latex paint was spilled on the carpet and not discovered until it was completely hardened. Steve came out and worked miracles! I actually could't believe how well the carpet turned out in both of those spots. Not only that, the charge was very reasonable, and wasn't inflated because of my desperate situation. Docs of Denver has always been very accommodating to our schedule. Steve came out and was professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and honest about what could be done to sanitize and clean the affected areas. Waited for a long time to get our carpets cleaned because of my perceived cost to do so. We desperately needed it though because the carpets are old and one of them can smell at times. Finally decided it had to be done, called Docs of Denver and short of installing new carpets I don't know how they could have done a better job. Rooms smell great and the carpets are clean, I can now feel the spring in the shagpile under my feet which I couldn't before. When I got the bill it was less than half of what I expected it to be.
