The tech used a machine that as it got dirty and ran out of cleaner made permanent swirl marks in each room that got progressively worse in each room he ran the defective carpet machine in. This was very very bad in the last room. The carpet also rippled horribly after the treatment. It's embarrassing for me to admit I got abused by this company. There are corners that a regular household vacuum cannot reach. That's one of the reasons you call carpet cleaners. This company has two packages. Regular vs. deep clean. When I declined their increase in quoted price, they said they would only need 25 mins to clean 5 rooms (only 5 mins per room!). This picture is just a sample of what's left behind after a "regular" clean. When I showed them a picture of the dirt they said I didn't do a good enough job pre-vacuuming. I prepped for their appointment the same way as when I used other companies and have never seen this level of carelessness. I should have checked yelp before booking as I would have seen the 3.5 less than stellar stars. Lesson learned. (After I posted a yelp review I got a call back from them saying they wanted to come back out to make it right. Why could they not make it right when they were at my house when I complained? Their equipment simply does not have the suction that the bigger outfits like Stanley Steemer has. Goatheads and other grasses were left in the corners of the stairs. I had to use my hands to pick them up. Never had to do this with the bigger outfits. Having them come back out means another day of wet carpet and time wasted so I had to redo the job with a bottle of Spotshot. Unfortunately, no process of my experience with Steam Pro went smoothly. I scheduled their visit online, about a week and a half ahead of when I asked them to arrive. On the day-of, I called an hour after their window had passed and they didn't arrive, and they told me my visit was confirmed, but I hadn't made it onto their "board" somehow. Credit where it's due, I really enjoyed working with Vivian to get it fixed. Vivian was a sweetheart, and assured me that they would send someone out as soon as possible (which was the next morning, arrival window 8-10). I let her know that we really needed them to arrive as close to 8 as possible, as we would be spending the day preparing for a baby shower for my wife's and my first child. Again, she assured me they had their best man assigned to us, and that he is always on time when traffic doesn't interrupt. The next morning, I was up bright and early to be ready to let him in at 8. I got a call at 8:45 saying the tech wouldn't be there til 9:15.....and it wasn't the tech I was told it would be (Hopefully he's ok, I was never told if he was sick/in an accident/etc.). The tech (Garrett) explained to us that there would be some price differences (pet treatment in some rooms, walk in closet (which he waived, which I appreciated)). He finished up in about an hour, which was awesome. He was very polite to me and my wife. The only thing that caught me off guard was, he headed out the door pretty much immediately after taking payment. I've never gotten my carpets cleaned professionally before, so I would have expected some instruction on how to dry everything and when to expect it should be dry by. I called the office to ask for a recommendation, and they recommended I wait til overnight to move furniture back, which did surprise me, but again, this was my first time working with professionals, so I didn't question it. It's now the next morning, about 25 hours after the cleaning, and there are still several large patches of the carpet that are more than damp. Walking on them makes my socks noticeably wet, running my hand over the carpet still brings up soap scum. A lot of Googling says I need to be worried that it's been more than 24 hours and is still not dry, as it could start to create mildew/mold, which is especially worrying as one of the rooms we wanted cleaned was the new nursery. All windows are opened, AC is on constant run, and I just got done crawling around the carpet on all fours with multiple towels, trying to soak up as much as I could. I do appreciate what Vivian did to right the scheduling error. I do also appreciate the effort Garrett put in to cleaning our carpets, and his polite affect while doing so. But unfortunately, not one part of the process went completely smoothly working with Steam Pros. If the carpets aren't dry soon, I'm worried I may need to call another service to clean up what Steam Pros left from when they finally arrived. read more

We had our carpet cleaned this morning by Steam Pro as we are putting our home up for sale in the next few days. We chose them because of the endorsement of Dave Logan and their advertisement through ValuPack. We are deeply disappointed in the outcome. Carpet still look dirty and most of the spots were not removed. Not the quality that we were expecting at all. He did offer to redo but we were not confident that he would do a good job. We have called Stanley Steamer to come in to correct all of the issues. We would not recommend SteamPro to anyone. The gentleman called upon arrival and asked if we wanted deep cleaning but did not explain the difference between the processes. He also stated the stairs were an additional $4, so okay. Upon going over after the cleaning, you could see that only the middle portion of the stairs had attempted to be cleaned.. not to the edge.. and for sure not like the owners video on line! Dave Logan endorsed this business and since I had a coupon and couldn't find the contact info for my usual company, I went with these people. The woman on the phone who set up the appointment was fantastic, but the technician from start to finish was not near the caliber of my usual company. He finished in record time though I paid for the more expensive cleaning method. Not saying he wasn't doing the work, but it didn't feel or look the same as usual. The stairs were very wet afterward. With my usual company all the carpets are close to dry when done because the water is almost all extracted. Where I'd forgotten to pick up a very few small legos, it looks like he just cleaned around them. Maybe that's policy, but couldn't he have asked ME to pick up those legos if he didn't want to? He put no blocks under the chairs or couch to work under or around them. When spraying the stairs initially he got quite a bit of the spray product on my wood floor in the kitchen near the stairs. When I mentioned it while wiping it up, he said nothing. I did not even have to sign the yellow paper that I agreed the work was satisfactory, forgot all about that and realized afterward. It's the little things that add up. Now that it's drying the carpet looks better, but these other issues soured my experience with this company. I hate to give any company a bad review, but workers coming into people's houses need a bit of savvy dealing with customers. At least pretend you care. It makes a difference. read more

I've had good results with Steam Pro in the past. They've done good work and been reasonably priced, but that seems to have changed. I wanted to get carpeting cleaned that gets quite dirty. It also got laundry detergent dribbled on it that keeps bleeding through after being cleaned. The guy that came out said he wouldn't move any of the furniture -- in other words, they only clean the traffic area -- and he wouldn't be able to pull up the very small area of carpet in order to clean any detergent off the backing, This, along with a lot of upselling and a shrug as to whether he could even get it clean (although they have in the past). But of course I would have to pay regardless. I decided to forego cleaning and replace the carpet instead. On the plus side, he did a reasonably good job cleaning a sofa, which is the only reason I gave 3 stars. Sadly, this company has lost its can-do attitude and isn't what it once was. One was from our former carpet cleaning company, and two were in-home quotes. Troy also said it's better to walk on carpet with clean shoes rather than socks because oils from the feet can get through the socks on damp carpet. Let's start at the beginning (this will be fairly brief) We bought a fixer upper built in the '70's. In my opinion, I am very handy. Therefore, I do most of the home projects myself. In a few cases, professionals are the way to go. Our home is equipped with central air and heat. Our allergies act up even in the winter and they seem to never let up. We deduced that the vents could be the culprit. I called 8 companies and they all had varying prices for vent cleaning: somewhere between $150-400. Some had random/hidden prices. Duct Pros didn't. The good -The basic cleaning was good (if you pay the lowest price, all you get is a tech with a vacuum [heads up]) -The tech pulled out about 5 lbs. of dirt, dust, animal fur, construction materials, FIBERGLASS INSULATION, 4 cat toys, etc. The interesting -When I called to ask questions, the person quoted me the basic price then proceeded to describe their premium service. I was surprised to say the least. -Joe Iannuzzi was our tech. He is certainly a character. Along with rough edges comes a caring individual who takes pride in his work and wants to take care of his customers. He took the time to do the service to its full extent and then some. The bottom line -Do your homework on the service that you are getting. -Be explicit with the tech on the services that you want and the one's that you don't want. -Expect for the techs to be late to the appointment and to run long. --Get your vents cleaned... there is all kinds of junk in there, who knows what's in them. P.S.--When you have any tech in your home, the likelihood is that they are blue collar individuals and act as such. My daughter spilled make up all over her floor playing dress-up. The make up now a days is a lot of mineral powder and very concentrated. We wanted to remove some very strong pet odors in a couple of areas in our carpeting, and figured we'd been in this house over 5 years, so time to give it a good clean. Did they run the wand over every place I wanted them to? Sure. Did the carpets seem to come clean, not really, no; not noticeably cleaner. Did the pet odors get taken care of? Not one bit!! In fact, they were worse once they were done....until we just tore the carpet/pad out 3-4 days later. The reality is that the treatment for odors was surface level at best. If there is pet urine that has gotten to the pad and absorbed in at any quantity, there's nothing they're going to help you with. I ended up pulling up carpet and pad and spending hundreds on new flooring to take care of the problem. I wish I hadn't spent $400+ for the cleaning service. It was a waste of money. And, what prompted me to write this note today is that I noticed black streaks on my stairs where it must have needed another pass or two. That will cost me money to clean/replace, too. Do your research. Don't believe the pet odor removal claims. I'm positive there are much better processes out there. Their worker Sean was great, just really rushed to move on to the next job. Last fall I had air ducts and carpets cleaned by Steam Pro. This turned out to be one of the most disappointing services I've had in recent memory. The carpet was soiled after the tech left. I happened to be wearing white socks and after walking in the wet carpet my socks were terribly dirty. I could see dirty foot tracks when I walked on the kitchen floor. While tech was down at the cross base for furnace inspection, removed the panel to inspect filter, he did not replace the door panel. Obviously, the furnace would not come on. I had to go down to the cross base to replace the panel to resume furnace operation. I called Steam Pro to express my displeasure. a different tech came out to address issues. Walked in with a very unpleasant unprofessional attitude and did an unacceptable rush job re-cleaning the carpet. Had a terrible attitude, face expressions said it all. He packed his equipment and left abruptly. Terrible courtesy, I had used Steam Pro twice previously, never had an experience like this. I value professionalism, respect and courtesy. I did not see it from the two Steam Pro tecs that came out. Will not use their service again! read more

As I mentioned in other 'contractor' yelp reviews, it is always a scary experience hiring a home service provider. I chose Steam Pro based on their upscale home mailing, BBB rating, one Yelp review, etc. I called and they the scheduler was friendly and accommodating of my scheduling needs (BTW - they work on Saturdays!). They did give a two-hour window, but on the day of the service, they called on their way and even came early. The pricing was in-line with what was advertised, but buyer beware, their 10 vent deal sounds good, but you will be surprised by how many vents there are in a house (I had 18)! The technician was kind and professional and took his time working through our house. In the end, the floors looked fantastic and literally they feel like new. The vents appear clean (crazy when they are cleaning those how much stuff you hear coming through the vacuum - gross!). And the couch also looks great. Can't really compare on pricing against others, but they use 'green' treatments, come on time, do a good job, etc. Everything you could want from a carpet cleaner. So far, so good! read more

He showed me the trouble spots and explained the procedure he would take to get out tough stains and he got them out. He was friendly, curtious, and professional. I got a coupon and called to ask about pricing and scheduling to get my ducts cleaned. I was told $159 for 10 vents, $15 for each additional vent, and $40-$60 for my drier vent. I made the appt and the tech showed up in the window they gave me. Upon arrival he quoted me $99 for the drier vent. I told him I was told it would be $40-$60 and he said $60 was the lowest he could go. He replaced the furnace filter with one of the new ones I had in the furnace room but left the dirty one down there. When he took off the plugs to access my ducts he left the broken pieces all over the floor of the furnace room where my cat walks to get to her food and litter box. I had to vacuum my entire house afterwards because there was dust ball's and debris around every vent and I don't even think he went upstairs to clean the upstairs vents even though I got charged for them. Their pricing changes upon service and your house will be left messy. I've used Coit in the past and while I didn't want to pay for their prices again it would have been worth it as I didn't have any of these issues when they cleaned my ducts at my previous home. EDIT: I originally gave them one star for duct cleaning, I had my carpets cleaned today, it was part of the package deal, the technician showed up in the time they said he would, he didn't over sell me on anything, he was quick and efficient and clean my carpets well, so I'm giving them 3 stars, I would use them again for carpet cleaning but probably not for duct cleaning read more
