Fairway Auto Sales - Vehicle we purchased from Fairway Auto Sales

    Fairway Auto Sales

Bought a F150 at a very reasonable and fair price…read more My husband and I wanted a hauling vehicle for odds and ends. We found a cheap truck, made and appointment and made the hour trip. Remmi, the owner was very polite. He saw that we weren't thrilled about the vehicle we originally came down for but he had several other trucks for us to look at within our budget. We found a truck that was just traded in and really liked it. To make the deal go through he made sure he addressed all of our concerns. I was impressed by the dealerships willingness to make a deal without pressuring to go way above budget. Finally, the paperwork took all of 30 minutes with my insurance company taking up the majority of the time. They took care of the DMV work. Approximately two weeks after our purchase we received our tags, title and registration. My only "complaint" is that we had to call several times to determine the status of our DMV paperwork. If they had better post sales communication, that would have been the icing on the top. But, not a big deal considering it's a smaller dealer with so many employees. In sum, this was my first headache free car purchase ever. (I've purchased several cars before so that's saying a lot) With regards to the truck, it runs well & seems sturdy. We had to make minor repairs to the mirrors and headlamps & need to replace the windshield wiper hose... nothing you wouldn't expect to be in need of repair after 16 years. but otherwise the bones and engine are good. All in all, I would recommend purchasing a vehicle from Fairway Auto! Thanks, Remmi! -PSL

I WOULD NOT BUY FROM HYUNDAI AGAIN. This dates back…read moreapproximately 6-8 weeks as I escalated the issue to Hyundai Corporate and wasted my time dealing with delays, excuses, and unreturned phone calls, only to be told they wouldn't help either. I spent approximately $30,000 on a Certified Pre-Owned Hyundai from Burlington Hyundai. Less than a year and fewer than 8,000 miles later, the vehicle needed over $1,241 in repairs at only 33,000 total miles. The vehicle was properly maintained, yet because the warranty had expired by just 11 DAYS, Burlington Hyundai refused to offer any goodwill assistance. They also charged me $275 for a diagnostic test after I had already provided them with the check-engine trouble code. When I questioned the charge, a service manager sarcastically asked if I wanted to "come behind the counter and into the shop to fix it myself." Completely disrespectful and unprofessional. Apparently, "Certified Pre-Owned" doesn't mean much once they have your money. I spent $30,000, drove the vehicle fewer than 8,000 miles, and when a significant problem developed just 11 days outside the warranty, both the dealership and Hyundai Corporate turned their backs. Terrible customer service, zero accountability, and absolutely no goodwill toward a recent customer. I would not recommend Burlington Hyundai or Hyundai to anyone. Think very carefully before spending your money here.
