    Text I received the following morning after I booked an appointment online. Very disappointed.

    UPDATE!!! Highly disappointed. It took a couple of months to find a groomer I trusted. My pup had been going to the same person since he was a puppy. I looked Studio Pampered Pets Yelp and I saw a pic of two Shihtzus that evidently had been groomed safely after being matted from neglect. It was a sign that these would be my pup's new groomers. My Shihtzu hates being groomed so he always gets a calm dose by his vet prior to his appointments to reduce anxiety. His fur is no where close to being matted 4 inches like the Yelp review of the Shihtzus. I made account on their website and booked my appointment. Next morning I get a text asking for my pup's details. I was transparent about my pup's special needs, since their website really emphasizes the professionalism, safety, comfort, and "peace of mind" that they provide. I felt very confident in their services and I even thought I would check out their daycare services and get my pup enrolled at some point. I get a response telling me my dog wouldn't be groomed. I asked if it was a scheduling issue or if it was behavioral because I would not have minded a wait. I never got a response. First of all, I think this is rude. I would have been happy to take him elsewhere to get groomed until he "met their criteria" if that was the case or if it was a scheduling issue. Kind of broke my heart. I have a groomers and a doggy daycare walking distance from me but I had decided to drive out 20 minutes for a good groomer that made me feel safe. I even took the day off because I wanted to be sure I was ready to pick him up as soon as they finished. I will never attempt to book a grooming appointment or enroll my pup in daycare here because to my knowledge, my pup is not welcome here. I am taking any recommendations for groomers that are professional and will accept pets even if they're fussy or have gone a month or so without being groomed! I'm glad to see I have finally gotten a response from the staff at Studio Pampered Pets. As I started to read the review, I was excited thinking that there was a possibility that I might be able to set my pup up in the future when staffing wasn't an issue. Then I got to the end of the response where I was called out for leaving a 1 star review simply because my dog didn't get seen and they "didn't deserve" that review. Unfortunately, I only had 2 texts and no response to base my reviews off of. Skills are great but customer service is really important. I would have been thrilled to leave my info so that I could get updates on staffing in the future. I noticed most negative reviews here are about customer service and how they handle turn-downs. I should have listened to those reviews about customer service and not just those reviews from existing, happy customers that actually had the opportunity to review their skills and not just their customer service.

    5 stars all around. When I moved from my Plano groomer, it had become too far and out of the way. I was recommended this studio by a client of mine who has two babies of her own with similar hair types. SPP did not disappoint. I like to stay away from chain groomers since they didn't do a complete shave on my baby as requested but only her paws and cute face. I'm like, "Why she still fluffy though??" This is the studio which I recommend all my clients and friends to, too! I'm wish I left a review sooner! Michael is super friendly and him and his staff know exactly what they're doing. He always has recommendations about my little gremlins, since one of them usually gets matted. Overall I'm always satisfied and will continue to be their client. After reading some of the reviews, I'd like to voice if someone has an "off service" - it happens. To me it doesn't define their work for the pass number of years. They have always been kind and my gremlins are trusted in their hands. At one point I even wanted one of their tails to be shaven down after checking out and they didn't have an issue and was more than happy to do it! Price is fair. Studio is a little hidden! Also, be patient when booking an appointment, they're running a studio themselves so I understand it's hard to pick up the phone or be right with you at the moment. They will always return your call without failure and be with you when they can!! Drop off is a breeze, too!

    I had a 10/10 experience getting my morkie groomed with Laura at SPP. I brought photos of what I wanted (puppy cut, round teddy bear face, ears trimmed short, tail long enough to wag), and got exactly what I wanted -- a perfect haircut. Actually, it was only 95% perfect when I came to pick up. They brought him out and asked if everything was okay. I said that his moustache was just a bit too long at the corners (I wanted more rounded), and Laura immediately took him back and reshaped those corners. The way she understood my request and immediately made the change made me really happy. His haircut was $50 (reasonable) and I paid $5 extra to have his nails filed (very reasonable). My dog is stressed out by new places, unfamiliar people, strange dogs... but he was much calmer and happier than usual after this haircut. Studio Pampered Pets is a little bit hard to spot. It's in the same strip as the 7-11. If you're driving southbound on Marsh, you have to turn left onto Spring Valley, and immediately turn left (across oncoming traffic) into the gas station parking lot.     It's interesting that a portion of poor reviews surround the way they deny service. My review is no different, except that I'm an actual client, or at least I was. My fur baby has been groomed by them a few times. It likely would've been more, if not for the pandemic. All of my former experiences were good, no complaints. I've also never received complaints about my fur baby from Mike or Laura. I recently called and left a voicemail about scheduling but because I couldn't actually speak with someone, I just decided to schedule online. The appointment went through on their website, confirming that they indeed had open availability on the day and time I selected. The next day they canceled my appointment and sent a text message stating that they won't schedule established clients that are not already booked for recurring appointments. They also mentioned having staffing issues. This review isn't written in rage or written because I am angry with them. As I mentioned, my former experiences were good. It's more so disappointment that my fur baby was rejected as an established client due to their implied disapproval of his ability to be booked, based on their definition of "a reoccurring basis". In the text sent, there was no description about the frequency of what they consider reoccurring nor was I given the opportunity as an established client to allow my fur baby a position on the reoccurring schedule. Even still, since they were letting us go as clients indefinitely, I responded politely and simply asked if they had any recommendations of trusted groomers in the area. They did not respond. I tried again the next day. Still nothing. There has been no response to my reasonable inquiry. And while one may say it's not their job to give recommendations, good customer service would not ignore a client that would have been willing to wait. Even a simple, "unfortunately we don't have any recommendations" would've sufficed. The rating I'm assigning is reflective of the aforementioned experience combined with disappointment that based on recent reviews here on Yelp, they've accepted new clients. This indicates that their staffing issues aren't as much of a concern as they implied, especially as it relates to rejecting an established client. Based on this, I can only insinuate that they rejected my fur baby because he does not yield them the amount of money they want based on their undisclosed frequency requirements. While good customer service includes stellar treatment to the pet, it's imperative to remember that the pet's parent deserves them same. So, I've since found and scheduled my fur baby with Erika Ashley's Elite Dog Grooming!

    I have a 7 month old Shih-poo that hates going to the groomer despite going every month since we has 3-4 months. I took him to Studio Pampered Pets after not being satisfied with my previous groomers cut, and seeing the raving reviews Studio Pampered Pets has. Let me tell you, they did not disappoint. My Kru has the best cut he has ever received, the price was great, and this is the first time he's gone to the groomer without crying, or barking when we entered. They also informed that that he was well behaved but needed someone to be patient with him which is a lot better than the previous feedback I've received from the previous groomer.

    Mike the owner is a straight forward, hard working, and detailed dude. Enough said, I'll be back... Chowder my lab is soft n silky, smelling good, and not shedding. Did a great job on his nails too all for an affordable price Thank you - S.P.P. Michael and Chowder

    Mike is the owner and the main grimmer but both are excellent. First of all - MIKE LOVE Fogs!! He personally pays attention to each one and every detail. Our 3 dogs LOVE HIM and go right in the front door. They are shelties and need a lot of grooming. He uses the best of skin care and cutting and filing nails and outstanding grooming . Mike also personally help me with 2 Shitz Zus I found. They we totally matted to the skin and Mike carefully shaved each one and made them perfect little girls again so so happy! Excellent grooming and my dog won't let me go near him with a brush - BUT Mike talks to him and my dog completely lets Mike brush and style him

    Michael and his team are absolutely amazing! They do fantastic work and fairly priced. We just "tried" using them the 1st time about 7 years ago and have been regular customers since. Very highly recommend these folks!

    These guys do a phenomenal job with my dogs. They bathed and brushed the teeth for my 3 little min pins for the day I hired a professional photographer. They made all 3 dogs look like superstars. 3 months after the pictures taken Flint had uncontrollable seizures and we had to put him down. I'm so glad that Studio Pampered Pets were able to contribute to making my 3 little buddies look flawless and photogenic. They helped make the pictures perfect so my doggies will be seen in their pictures as immortal. I use the pictures of them everyday. Michael and his team make my dogs feel like VIPs when they visit for their grooming. This is probably the bet place in North Dallas to get your dogs groomed.

    After years of searching for the right people to take care of my best friend, I came upon Mike and his wonderful associates. I could not be more pleased with how they treated me and of course how much my dog strains to go inside their facility every time we go near. Her behavior alone is a good enough reason for me to continue with them. Plus, they just do a really good job, for a fair price!!

    I took my Yorkies to Studio Pampered pets, again. I was very satisfied with their approach to grooming and the results.

I get it- they dry hair quickly, but mine is just super sensitive to them. A few weeks ago, I reached out to Furry Tails via email and explained my dog's fears. The gentleman (I believe his name is Jake) quickly responded and assured me that he understood and that he could offer a kennel dryer. I took her in today for her grooming appointment. Of course, she immediately put on her brakes (locked her legs) and I had to coax her into the salon. Thankfully, Jake was waiting at the counter. He remembered Verda Belle's fears and did his best to become friends with her by talking softly to her and offering a treat. Of course, she was making me feel guilty, but I also could see she would be in good hands. She was there about 2.5 hours since it took longer to dry her. He called when she was ready and when I arrived, he assured me that she actually tolerated it all well. Whew! She looks amazing! He groomed her as I had requested and she smelled great. It is wonderful knowing I have found a kind groomer who actually treats animals with gentleness and love!

Just like all the other reviews…read more I boarded my pup here for a week, and something told me to take a video of her when i dropped her off and compare to when i picked her up Ima so glad i did. My pup is 8 months old and full of energy, like all pups are. When i picked her up she was lethargic and her energy was LOW! She wasn't interested in eating or playing games when we got home. She in fact went straight to sleep for 5 hours She smelled like sour poop, (my dog is black fur) she a light white/ cream colored fur all over her back, dried up poop on her rear and her legs, causing me to have to take her to the groomer the next day because she had my house smelling! There were 4-5 cuts on her paws and nose and i did not have her groomed there. F that ! We have boarded at WAGS previous and at pick up she did not want to leave. This was not the case here! The facility is OLD dingy and dirty, and they do not call you and update on your pet, i had to call and check in. I attached a photo on 2 small cuts on one of her paws that looks like it's gotten worse. The saying you get why you pay for was definitely proven here! Just DONT!

    DO NOT TAKE YOUR BABY!…read more I have taken my Yorkie for 4 years and was very happy with the service when Edgardo was there.  When he left,  I noticed the owner was a little "rough" with the dogs,  but hoped it was just a 1 off. I considered not going back,  but thought "the devil you know is better than the devil you don't know. " I WAS WRONG! I took my sweet dog in for a routine grooming and when I got her home,  noticed her anus was bright red and something had definitely happened. I reached out to Yolanda (owner) and she didn't acknowledge anything happened.  The following day I took her to the Vet and sure enough, they had taken off the entire surface of her anus skin. She was brutalized. I can't imagine the pain my little baby is in. It's like a nightmare....horrible pain.  What's worse,  the owner refused to respond.  Had she acknowledged a mistake, or accidentally cutting too deep, I could have treated her immediately.   So, the purpose for telling my story is this: If you love your dog,  cat, pet....do not take them to this groomer or boarding house of horrors. Your baby will suffer.
