Great place, better dogs. Anything and everything is worth getting. The owners are always happy to see you walk in.

I kind of feel bad posting such a low review because the customer service was excellent. The man that helped me out was so nice and cheerful. He's one of those people where his positive vibe rubs off and you can't help but smile, but unfortunately the food was not good and that is why I only put 2 stars. I had ordered over the phone 2 cowboys burgers and 2 fries for my coworker and I for out lunch break. One of the burgers was supposed to be well done (I even told the guy that I didn't want any pink). When I got back to work I noticed they never labeled any of the burgers which one was which so I cut one in half and it was pink so I figured that one was my coworker's burger. I took a bite out of mine and when I went to take another bite I noticed mine was pink as well. I pretty much dissected the whole thing and it was all super pink. And to top it off both of burgers were super soggy and just falling apart. I couldn't go back and asked them to fix it because I was at work. Maybe I went wrong by ordering a burger at a placed called "dog n subs". I would like to go back and give it a second chance and try their hotdogs instead and hope that they are better and live up to the name. read more

Not very welcoming. Received the Door Saver mailer and thought we'd check it out. As soon as we walked in, we weren't even greeted. My husband was looking at the menu posted on the wall and the lady behind the counter didn't even speak. We'll never go back. Unwelcoming vibes all around. read more

Found Dog n Suds from a FB social media post, we didn't even know it was there across from the brand new car wash off of Jefferson ave in Temecula! The Philly cheese steak was amazing!! The menu had a lot of items available at competitive prices. Ordered the brat and chili fries. When food arrived the chili fries were piping hot and good. The hot dog looked good however it was cold. Maybe lukewarm. Maybe. I spoke with another table and they also stated their food was a bit cold. If this place can serve their food hot I would recommend it. For now, meh. read more

Love this place, wish I lived closer. The theme is cute and the hot dogs are both delicious and massive. Also, the posters don't lie- they really do have the creaminest root beer. Price is fair and it's usually not busy when I do go, which is both good and bad. It's the type of place I'd take family and friends to when they visit. read more

Great hot dog joint. The freshest buns, great dogs, the crunciestvfries in town. The root beer floats are yummy. Love the classic Chicago dog with the florescent relish (just like being in Chicago). There are some very creative dogs for the gourmet dog lover. They even have special in local bogo advertising mags. If you come on the right day, you may see some amazing classic cars. i've lived in temecula since 2000--i grew up here, finished high school here, and visited a lot while going to school in SD. not gonna lie: there wasn't much outstanding restaurants here when i was growing up. all we'd do was drive around wine country and end the night with some in n out. now, i live in NYC (i.e., i'm spoiled with an infinity of more than decent food options around me) and am visiting for the holidays. so much has changed even in the last 5yrs: and one of them is the new and interesting food places popping up. for the first time in my life, i used yelp while ACTUALLY in temecula--what was once a boring suburb to me--and knew it'd lead me to something at least decent. and so i found this place. boyyyyy when i tell you i was NOT expecting such great quality dogs, fries, and even their "creamy rootbeer," and on top of that, warm and friendly service....my friend (who also grew up here) and i were truly appalled. we brought the food back to the car and literally ate in silence for a few minutes because it was so good; we couldn't be bothered to stop eating a bit to ask each other what we thought. sorry, no pics bc we ate it so fast, but we got a chili and elote dog and shared the epic fries, in addition to two small drinks (totaling about $30--it may seem pricey but that's what you'd expect for quality dogs and crispy fries, both of which are carefully adorned with toppings and sauces). also i rarely do reviews but i am for this place because it's new and i want it to stay open!!! i will never not come to this place whenever i visit from new york. i'm happy there's actually great food like this here now. My son and I stopped by and ordered food to go. This place had the cutest decor inside. Now to the food.. we ordered 3 dogs and 2 fries. Everything was so good! The roll was so good! Will definitely be going back to try the root beer float! read more

Disappointed. Although the flavors were excellent with the Coney Dog and Hawaiian dog we ordered, both dogs were served cold and cheese on the Coney wasn't even melted. Fairly pricey for what you get. Saving grace...classic fries were ok and the root beer was excellent. Be advised!!! None of the staff were wearing masks. We had high hopes for this meal given that we love the root beer and my husband is from the Midwest. First, I would give the root beer 5 stars as well as the front cashier service. However, the hot dogs and fries were awful. The dogs themselves are tasteless, they taste like they are boiled and all the flavor is gone, plus they were not hot. My husband had the Chicago dog and it had so much celery salt on it, he could not eat it. I had a regular dog and it was also tasteless and cold. I had the fries with the cheese bacon etc. on it. The fries were so cold the cheese didn't even melt a little. My husband had chili fries and they were hot but we decided that it was the chili that was hot and not the fries. Long story short, go for the root beer and skip everything else. read more

Tried it as I'm a great fan for a good Chicago Dog. Dog was good not great. The bun was very soggy as they steamed it too long. The fries were great - chrispy and warm. Got to try the root beer which was creamy and a great drink with a dog. Tried the sangria but wasn't impressed. I would say they are two levels below Portello's located in Marino Valley. read more

I wanted to like this place but it's not great. I had the bratwurst and the sausage was terrible. It was bland. Costco's polish sausage is WAY better. I didn't like the taste of the lobster roll bread they used either. Tasted like margarine. My dad got the italian sausage dog which was very oily and he had an upset stomach for several days afterwards. I also had the garlic fries. They were ok but a little over-fried. I also had an orange cream soda which was ok as well. Prices were too high for what they are offering. Luckily they have decent beers. read more

I had high hopes for this location and I was a little disappointed. Being originally from the Chicago area I've had more than a few Chicago dogs. With that being said I went with my ole favorite and was less than impressed. The dog was ok, just not very warm and the bun was straight from the package and not steamed/warmed. Topping were spot on but overall lackluster. As I normally do, I will give this spot another try the next time I'm in the area and looking for a hot dog. read more

Visited today for the first time and were so glad we did! We were greeted warmly and my husband's questions were answered. He had a Chili dog and Chili fries. What a mess in eating, used many napkins but enjoyed every last bite. I had the Dog n Suds dog that had onions, relish and mustard and it was delicious. The fries are the best!! Root Beer Floats are wonderfully authentic and the Orange drink I had had vanilla in it that made it seem a bit decadent. The coleslaw is different but quite good also. We will be back. read more

Wonderful and the owner was fantastic and so enthusiastic about his business. My husband grew up in Illinois so when he saw this pop up on Yelp he said we had to go. We walked in and were greeted immediately and the owner chatted with us about how the restaurant came to be in the history of it back in the Midwest. Claims to have Chicago Style Italian Beef. It fell short of mediocre. They also claim to have Chicago style dogs. I'd give the Chicago style dogs 6/10. Fries were subpar compared to a Gene & Jude's or Jay's Beef back in Chicago. I asked for a plain Vienna Hot dog and the cashier asked me how to spell it. I guess that's all I needed to hear. If you want Chicago, the extra drive time to Portillo's in Moreno Valley is worth it. read more

The dogs were fantastic and the condiments were not to be believed. The bun is custom made for the restaurant and it holds a large Nathan hot dog that was prepared perfectly. They have a huge selection of dogs with a variety of condiments to choose from. The place has been totally remodeled and it's quite charming kind of a 50s style. I think they have a weakness in that they don't serve local wines and since Temecula is a wine country it is a failing. But they have a variety of beers on tap. The prices are very reasonable and it's located near the intersection of Jefferson and rancho California road. I plan to go back and try some other choices. read more

DognSuds in Temecula, CA is one of the few remaining Dog n Suds restaurants left in the country. The owner is a Chicago transplant whose family has been operating Dog n Suds for many decades. This one is an absolute winner! The hotdogs are thick and meaty. They have their buns custom baked, big enough to handle the loadings in the deluxe dogs, and they are toasted to perfection. I had the California dog special (w/ ff and sm. homemade root beer). The loadings included house-made roasted tomatoes & guacamole, arugula, Chipotle Aioli and topped with crispy onions. So messy and so good. FF are extra crispy the way I love them. The root beer, wow. I don't generally drink any kind of soda pop, but this rootbeer is a trip back to the best memories I have of root beer as a child. My table mate had the burger and it was superb as well. Big hand formed patty chargrilled to perfection and dressed with fresh and tasty vegs/sauce. The very friendly and enthusiastic owner shows obvious pride and commitment to customer service. read more
