Received my delivery and WOW! This was probably the best taco salad I've ever had delivered. Normally, the beans and meat are at the bottom and the shell is super soggy. This was perfect! The lettuce was crisp; the carnitas massive; tomatoes cut small enough to fit in each bite; plenty of sour cream and cheese! The carnitas and beans were in the middle but the lettuce was still crunchy. Got a cheese enchilada plate and churros too. Hummm... The requested verde sauce? Not so good. Went here for my first time yesterday for Taco Tuesday and the food was good.... but unfortunately it was hard to eat because it was so hot inside. This place does not have AC and it literally felt like an oven well over 100° inside. Good food but uncomfortable environment. Came in for a late lunch as my older sister shared she likes to come here sometimes for fish tacos. When I first entered, the lady behind the cash register did not greet me nor welcome me as she was talking to another guy there so I made sure to say buenas tardes. I then asked if they served birria there as that was what I was craving. I got the quesabirria tacos with rice & beans, a carnitas taco & a pineapple water. My mom order the bowl of birria. As for the flavor of the food, it was a bit too salty & did not taste the best. I was a bit disappointed with the birria tacos with handmade tortillas bc the tortilla was super thick & the meat was a bit salty, the rice was dry, & the beans were also kinda salty. The carnitas taco was not good at all, the meat had a funky smell to it. When we went to say something about exchanging it or getting a refund, the staff did say it was probably the way it was cooked & exchanged it for a carne asada taco which was still not that good. My moms order was also very salty and the meat was just huge chunks!! My mom was not satisfied at all. My sister's fish taco was bland and looked old. She did let the staff know & the lady said that is how they always make it. My sister ended up not eating and ended up feeling a bit disgusted. Aside from that, there is seating inside & a table outside. There is plenty of parking. Stopped by after a day out on the shooting range and ordered the street tacos and taco salad with grilled chicken. We didn't wait long for our orders but we enjoyed the food very much! The restaurant dining area is fairly open and accommodates small and large groups. The staff are friendly. My son and I were quite hungry when we arrived at La Bamba. I was torn between the flautas and the super nachos. My son ordered the super fries. I ended up getting the nachos, and was blown away by the size of our plates. We could have easily shared. Needless to say, we came home with leftovers. La Bamba has a great variety of food; including menudo and pozole, desserts, adult beverages, and they even have HAPPY HOUR! I have to comment on the service. My daughter and I were hungry, and we were in a rush to go somewhere, so we wanted something quick but hardy, so we decided to check this place out. We thought this was going to be a nice meal where we could support a small business, but this ended up being one of the worst Mexican food experiences I've had in my lifetime. As a foodie who eats out at least 5 days a week and has tried restaurants around the world, this statement does not come lightly. The food was extremely salty, and this wouldn't have been as much of an issue if it weren't for the fact that there was no other flavor. Flavorful food is not the same as salty food, and this was certainly the latter. We order the carnitas plate, and a ground beef taco. I couldn't taste any other spices or depth of flavor in the food we ordered; the only flavor was salt, and it was an overwhelming amount of it. Carnitas dishes don't usually have many seasonings since you are supposed to be able to taste the depth of the flavor of the pork itself, but at this restaurant, they added so much salt that you couldn't even taste that. Ground beef, on the other hand, does typically have some other seasonings to add more complex flavors, but once again, it was just salt. It may seem redundant to mention the salt so many times, but it was truly that salty. I told the female cashier who took our order that the food was too salty and asked if we could get a little bit of extra rice to try and tolerate the salt. She reluctantly said she would make a one-time exception and bring me some rice. To be honest, if I wasn't short on time, I would most definitely have requested them to remake it, and I did not appreciate the fact that she seemed reluctant to provide us with a little extra rice because it was so salty. To top it all off, they messed up on our order. When the carnitas plate first came out, they brought us all beans and no rice, but we asked for no beans and all rice. We also asked for a cup to take our water to-go, but she said they normally charge for that. When we got home, we looked at the receipt and noticed that we were charged unnecessarily for other items as well. Additionally, we had ordered chicken to-go, and she asked if we were sure it would be ok since the chicken did have a lot of flavor. It seemed like she was implying that we didn't like flavor because we didn't enjoy the extremely salty food, but I would like to reiterate that salt does not equal flavor. We're Asian, and we love flavorful food like Thai, Filipino, and of course, South American food. We've been to many Mexican and other South American restaurants, and they've all been delicious, so I can say with confidence that the food we ate at this establishment was nothing close to flavorful. We have yet to try the chicken, but I don't have high hopes. I'm not sure if they are trying to cater to the demographic of predominantly white people in this area, which might explain the lack of flavor and overuse of salt, but whatever may be the case, I will not be supporting this small business. If you are craving overly salty Mexican food that has no flavor then you've found the right place. What a waste of money and stomach space. read more

I've been ordering from here regularly for the past couple of years. I enjoy the street tacos and I would always make it a combo. Because I would order enough for a couple of meals, I would generally also order containers of salsa. It was $3.99 for an 8 oz. salsa. That's a good price to me. I went on DoorDash today and it's $7.99 for 8 oz. of salsa. I then checked their website and it's over $6 for that size of salsa. The fact that I can order a container of salsa is one of the reasons I order from there. However, I will not pay double what the price was just a couple of months ago. It's not at all worth it. The employees here are super friendly and chill, but the service can be a hit or miss. The first time we went, it took over 30 min for them to bring out 7 tacos. The last time we went, they forgot my order and only brought out my BF's order. I waited another 5-10min just incase my tacos were coming out separately before checking on my order. In both situations, the same young gentleman sincerely apologized. Super nice guy!! We totally understood things happen, but wanted to make note. It pains me to leave this review after two years of patronage of this business. Actually, I left a five star review on yelp just five months ago but my husband LOVES menudo. It was good in 2024 and 2025 but in May of 2026, my husband wasn't happy with his pickup order. We gave it another try today and again less than desirable. My husband and I went out to eat and he was in the mood for a burrito. Since we were in the area, we decided to try out La Bamba since it was near the top of the list for reviews. We ordered directly through the Yelp app and were able to get our order in while finishing up our appointment. We were given updates on the order with a timeframe for when things would be done. Once we got there, parking was easy and the restaurant itself was clean. They already had our order hot, fresh, and ready just like they updated us on. The Al pastor burrito was extremely full and bursting with a lot of flavor. It was a good mix of ingredients, and they went heavy with the meat, which garners the price. The fries were similar, with all the toppings being very loaded. I'm usually a big eater, but I could barely finish half of my box. The salsa they provided on the side gave a really nice kick without overwhelming the flavor. My breakfast burrito is good but not great but I did enjoy the chicharron taco. Crispy pork and pico satisfied the inner Homer in me. Came here with my hubs yesterday specifically for tacos. We got street tacos for here and some to go. I tried the carnitas (super juicy), fried shrimp (crispy and yummy), and shredded chicken tacos. They accommodated my order of no onions. I liked their salsas, but they didn't have the biggest selection sadly. I also wish that they didn't charge you extra for orange bang refills or roasted jalapeños! The lady at the front answered all my questions, but wasn't particularly welcoming. She want mean! Just kind of standoffish, maybe she as having a bad day. Hey, everyone does! This place could have used a bit of a cleaning. Many of the tables were dirty and it wasn't super busy where they couldn't come out and clean.
