Service was good. Very attentive. Food just missed the mark for me. My menudo was mid to say the least. It was luke warm and the hominy tasted like it wasn't fully cooked. Meat was a little too chewy. I did appreciate the hominy to tripe ratio. I'm case you were curious they serve Pepsi products. The ranchero beans were great.

My wife and I wanted to try a new place so we went here. The service was great! Our waitress was very attentive. Also, the place was very clean which we always appreciate.. except for one menu had squished salsa inside of it. We ordered the side of pancakes, the chile verde breakfast, and the burrito with birria. The burrito was definitely the best. The pancakes were.. ok? They should really offer just 1 for a side because they are so huge! The chile verde breakfast was very.. meh. I'd say most of the stars came from the staff.. not sure if we'd come back for the food though, unfortunately

My family and I walked in on a Monday morning for breakfast and it was a great choice! Our server was friendly, welcoming, considerate and attentive. After getting regular coffee she suggested we try café de Olla and brought us a sample and as soon as I had a sip of that cinnamon flavored homemade coffee it transported me to some remote pueblo and imagined myself drinking grandma's cafe de olla. It was comforting. Then our food came out and omg! The portions were pretty hefty and the taste was spot on! Even the chips and salsa they put out at the beginning were great too! The chips were nice and crispy not overly salty or done nor oily. Almost tasted like they were air fried. The regular pancakes we ordered were so good! They were fluffy and tasted like vanilla. It was not your average plain pancake! I wish I would've tried their tres leches pancakes but I guess I'll save that for next time! The ambiance was pleasant and not loud at all even though there were a few groups there. Overall, a really great choice and I would go back there again for sure.

This large restaurant is located in Scott Road Plaza. I found it on Yelp. There's plenty of parking. They weren't busy on a Thursday around 11a.m. Decor is dark with plenty of Disney's Coco pictures around. We were seated right away. The waitress was good. After taking our order she brought out warm chips and salsa. I wasn't expecting that since it was brunch. There were 2 types of salsa and they were both good. My teenager got omelets and it was a good amount of food. I got the veggie breakfast bowl. Someone brought out bacon and sausage bowl instead. It was good but the eggs were runny. I verified with the waitress if I ordered the veggie bowl. She said yes and asked if I would like the chef to remake the order. She took my meat bowl and packed it to go which is nice. The veggie bowl was good but again the eggs were runny and there could've been more of it. I also got the Chai latte which was very good. I would like to try this place again but maybe for lunch.

I love to come get breakfast here, my favorite is the chilaquiles with green sauce and a cafe de olla mmm. The place isn't huge and has casual dining vibe. It typically isn't too busy when we stop in and the service is always good. My boyfriend likes to order breakfast burritos to go pretty often also that are always a hit.

I have been to Breakfast House Los Tejabanes about a handful of times, and for the most part, it's good. The service is quick and friendly, and I don't think I've ever had to wait to be seated. You'll find it in the corner of a quiet strip mall off the Scott Road exit from the 215 freeway. Lots of parking is available. The food here is always made fresh. I've enjoyed everything I've ever had here. The only gripe I have is about their Molcajete. It's the saddest looking one I've ever seen. It tasted alright, but I have definitely had better. I feel like it's heavily lacking on presentation and size. I do like that they have Happy Hour, although I have yet to try it out. Pricing isn't bad, and the portions are very generous. I wish they were in a better spot because they never seem super busy, at least not any of the times that I've come. Maybe if a Starbucks was built near the lonely Taco Bell across the parking lot, more people would stop in. If you're passing through the area and looking for a hearty meal or even just a cup of joe, come in and show them some love!

So I had placed a phone order for pick up. I could tell the girl that answered was new because during the conversation I could hear her speaking in the background to someone asking them questions on how to do things. Anyways, I ordered the chilaquiles. I asked the girl if they do red sauce and she said they do both red and green sauce. I said, "okay I'll order the red sauce." She asked, "how I'd like the eggs with the chilaquiles." I said scrambled. She said, "I'm sorry we don't do deviled eggs as an option." I said, "oh no I said scrambled." That was the first indication that she probably couldn't hear what I was saying and the fact I had to constantly repeat myself during the conversation. So I finished ordering the food and my husband went to go pick it up. When he got there they asked what order he was picking up for because there for no name for the order. She didn't ask me for my name btw. Well he said red chilaquiles and continue with the rest of the order. Apparently the girl swore I ordered green chilaquiles. Husband knows me and thats what he told them. She only orders red chilaquiles. So he waited another 10 minutes for them to "remake" the chilaquiles. When i opened it there was red sauce poured all over the food and I could see green sauce at the bottom. So I started moving the food around and the whole food is mixed with green sauce. I'm pissed. My husband's pissed because they made him wait longer and pretended that they remade the food. I get it I worked in food.. mistakes happen, misunderstandings happen. There were times when I had to take back food because a customer said that's not what they ordered, but I could have swore they did. However, they need to take accountability this is their business. I wasn't mad until I saw the food. Anyways, I don't recommend eating here and obviously we won't be going back.

Nice merch, well displayed. The pastry case is extremely inviting and what spoke to me today was the cheese danish with coconut. I swarmed it, maybe you're supposed to take more than three bites? They warmed it up for me and it was delicious. I'm usually a really BIG tipper but when you pay just short of six $$$ dollars for a single pastry these days, I don't see why you should tip when basically all someone has to do is ring it up for you and throw it in a bag.You know what I mean? So lately, for the first time in my life I'm starting to not tip at places like this. I feel a bit guilty, but I am retired. I think the way to do it is to throw a dollar in there every third visit or something, just my feeling. A cumulative tip.Ha! Anyway, the staff is always real pleasant and kind. I'm not one for fancy coffees, but they do look appealing. I've tried their coffee before, but it doesn't really work for me. I prefer that at home. But it's an adorable spot and always has a good amount of nice patrons enjoying themselves. I just overheard a gentleman say to his wife as he was walking out the door: "This tastes better than Starbucks" while sipping one of those fancy triple layered multicolored drinks. There is usually plenty of outdoor seating and easy parking. There is also a bunch of great little shops nearby, including SEES candy and a handful of restaurants, etc. Target, Michaels, HomeGoods, you know the normal Mini-Mall "flif-flof'. It's a very pleasant spot. Look for: "COUNTRYSIDE MARKETPLACE " just off of Newport/Haun Rd near Highway 215. Let me pop back inside and throw a couple of shekels in the "tip jar"! Been coming here since they opened ( which isn't easy ) as I was accustomed to my Starbucks grind and have brand loyalty for the *most part. Better Buzz gives you that feeling of being a local spot w/o the commercial feel. The patio dining is beautiful, and the prices are reasonable, which has kept us coming back. That said, our most recent visit on Sunday after church was extremely disappointing. We came with a cousin expecting the same great experience we've had before, but unfortunately, that wasn't the case. We were quoted a 20-30 minute wait and ended up waiting over an hour. Once seated, we ordered right away, but it took more than another hour for our food to arrive. When the food finally came out, the portion sizes seemed noticeably smaller. My husband's order was incorrect, and he didn't receive his meal until after the rest of us had already finished eating. We were also missing a side we had ordered. On top of that, we didn't receive our drinks for at least 30 minutes, and were told the bartender was "flustered." Overall, we left feeling really disappointed and dissatisfied, especially since we've had such positive experiences here in the past. At this point, we'd honestly rather grab something quick from Canyon Lake Market than go through another experience like this.

A $25 cake-cutting fee shouldn't have overshadowed our son's birthday, but the way it was handled…read moredid. We've been coming here for years. It has been our go-to steakhouse, and we've even celebrated our anniversary here. We love the food, which makes what happened during our son's birthday dinner especially disappointing. After an excellent steak dinner that cost approximately $330, we brought out a small, pre-sliced ice cream Polar Pizza for our son's birthday. I began serving it myself because it was already sliced. The waitress then came over and, in a confrontational manner, announced that we would be charged a $25 cake-cutting fee. The fee may have previously been mentioned to my wife, but I was not aware of it when I began serving the cake. I understand that restaurants have policies, and a calm explanation would have been enough. Instead, the situation was turned into an unnecessary scene during our son's birthday celebration. Then another large male employee came over, stepped directly into my personal space, and angrily asked, "Would you bring beer into a bar?" He got right in my face without first asking what had happened or allowing me to explain. His tone and decision to get that close were aggressive, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. We ultimately paid the $25 fee even though the staff did not cut, plate, or serve the cake. The fee was frustrating, but the confrontational way the employees handled the situation was far worse. Families considering celebrating a child's birthday here should confirm every outside dessert policy beforehand. In our case, what should have been a joyful moment for our son became an upsetting experience. It did not leave us feeling as though families celebrating with children were welcomed or valued. A simple and respectful conversation could have resolved everything in seconds. Instead, their response changed the entire mood and ruined what should have been a special ending to our son's birthday dinner. The food may still be excellent, but a restaurant is remembered for more than its steaks. After years of loyalty, the aggressive and disrespectful way this was handled during our son's birthday has cost them our business. We will not be returning.
