The staff so far have been very professional, handled my two dogs with obvious experience, yet they were still warm and welcoming to both me and my two furry guests. My two large dogs are allowed board together in an indoor/outdoor run which is a big bonus for me. When I picked them up, they were happy, no signs of stress whatsoever. Erin was patient with her and she looks beautiful! I knew she would!!! I used to groom her myself(I was by taught by another groomer) but after a failed spinal fusion surgery it became to difficult for me and it took hours. So after lots and lots of research, I decided to go ahead and book with Erin. I know people might think I'm nuts driving 30mins for a dog groomer but I will tell you it was well worth the trip. The salon is very clean. Dogs get a cute little room to wait for their mommy/daddy to pick them up. Check in was very quick and I was called 10 minutes before she was completed. When I picked her up she was still wet and had eye boogers. I paid a whopping 55$ to get a wet dog back with eye boogers. I believe they were two different groomers. The first time was done by a lady and it was great, the second was done by someone else and when I picked her up it's she was still damp and a mess.

They wouldn't mix large intact dogs with the general population, but, fortunately, they have multiple play/training areas, so he could go out and play. That is pretty unusual in my experience. Baywood was a great find for us in that respect. They have a resident person at all times and are open , as far as I can tell, 24/7--at least their hours are long enough to accommodate almost anybody, which is handy. They take pains to feed and, when necessary, medicate according to the owner's wishes. Baywood doesn't accept bully dogs as I remember. That has engendered some negative reviews, which I understand, but I have to agree with the kennel on this one. Their policies require that any dog left there must be up to date on all their shots, etc. This protects every animal that comes through. We have had nothing but great service from them from the beginning. They even let me use their training yard at one point. It was a great help in working with a young, dominant dog. I can't recommend them highly enough.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER! They have rescheduled our dog for several weeks out in the last six…read moremonths because groomers keep quitting. The last groomer we had was new and pulled at our dogs back hip soo hard she could not walk for three weeks. When I asked to speak to a manager to discuss our concerns about the continued rescheduling and poor treatment of our animal, the manager in the Northampton office told me "Sorry, things happen, and then informed me that we were no longer welcomed at the Good Dog Spot" I then asked to speak to the owner, at which time she repeatedly told me that we are no longer welcomed at the Good Dog Spot and then she hung up on me. I would tell anyone considering using the Good Dog Spot to have their pet groomed should strongly consider finding another company to use. It is quite obvious that groomers at the Northampton store continue to quit because they are forced to work under a terrible manage. The best business advice that could be given, would be FIRE THE NORTHAMPTON MANAGER!!!!!

The groomer Karen is very rude and could definitely use a course in customer service! She has poor…read morebusiness skills. It takes her days to get back to you regarding an appointment. She is expensive for the grooming that she does and the quality isn't there. My dogs coat is not shaved and clipped well. Choppy and hairs standing on end. Plus she literally cuts the skin and doesn't own up to it. Who knows how she treats the dog? I really think she has issues. Something isn't right! You can tell by the inconsistent reviews that she is given. My advice is to find a responsible caring groomer if you care about your pet. I am never going back. I couldn't agree more with the review by Sarah M. and Joe S. - I stood up to her and I thought she was going to have a break down.
