My pugs nails where so long, she wouldn't let me touch her paws to trim them and I told the woman there "good luck". She picked up my pug and started massaging it's paws and it sat their and made a fool of me. Anyway these women are amazing. Trust them completely. I just had our Pomeranian groomed here for the first time yesterday. Not only was the cut way too short, we specifically asked them not to do more than a clean up, it was uneven EVERYWHERE and up to 2" in some places! (imagine huge tufts of hair sticking out in several place). They also shaved his genitals, which I have NEVER seen done before and can't imagine would be pleasant for him. Not to mention they charged me $25.00 more than my normal place on QA. I will NEVER take him back there again. read more

I was referred here by my vet for gland expression. If I could give zero stars, I would. The woman with long blonde hair was so incredibly rude to me and my dog. When I told her who referred me she snapped back "why do they keep referring people here?!" I guess they don't need any new business! I explained my dog was fearful and would nip if scared and she rolled her eyes and dragged my dog to the back. She muzzled my dog, which I would expect, but then my dog quickly got the muzzle off, got her foot stuck in it and nipped the woman. She yelled for me to get back there and get my dog because she would not do it. Incompetence and rudeness to the highest degree! Avoid this place like the plague and give your money to someone who wants and appreciates business. read more

We've brought both our dogs here and couldn't be happier with Looking Good. They're so much cheaper than any other groomer we've used, and they love our dogs. They even made special accomodations for our reactive pup who isn't crazy about dogs he doesn't know, and they took great care of him. read more

Wow...I called for an appointment, didn't even go in, and I already don't like them. You would think when someone calls to ask questions about using your business that you would put your best food forward. This place does not subscribe to that notion. It seemed as though I was a bother for calling to book an appt. I asked what she charged and let her know what I normally get done, I mentioned that I used to take my dogs to Bark N Style but she was much closer to me so I thought I would try her. Looking good needs to work on their phone skills. It's customary to be polite when a customer calls to make an appoinment. Why would I want to give my business to someone who is condescending within the first minute of conversation? The grooming here is good and very reasonably priced. My only complaint is the customer service is ridiculous, I have absolutely no desire to be talked to rudely when I'm coming to spend my money at your facility. I expect to be talked to with some what of a pleasant manner more so then being spoken to like a complete inconvenience, it makes you wary of leaving your dog with someone with no patience, I've decided to no longer take my dog here I'd rather travel longer and get the attitude I feel is deserved and know that my pup is in good hands! read more

I love this place it's in the neighborhood and super easy to get too! Staff is super nice and the place looks very clean. I have a cat so we are always in and out. A good trick is to get there right at 8AM and you are out literally in 10 minutes with a nail and sanitary clip. I give 4 stars because I wish they were open over the weekend. read more

My Persian is what you might call, a tad high maintenance. Sue has put up with his antics for years, always with great service, excellent communication and rock solid consistency. Dog went in filthy, came out 2 hours later sparkling! Sue was our groomer and she was super nice. For the full wash and clip (we buzz cut our cocker spaniel) it was $65 which is about the same as Downtown Dog Lounge where we used to go, but wanted a change because we live in North Seattle and because they always seem to take about 3-4 hours to groom. I've always had short-hair dachshunds, so until I got a wirehair dachshund I'd never taken my dogs to a groomer before, I had no idea what to expect. I also didn't how my 8-month-dog would behave for his first grooming appointment. When I brought Ardie in, Victoria was really gentle and professional, asked me detailed questions about what I wanted. When I picked up Ardie he was soooo handsome! She did an amazing job, and said he was a good boy. I sent pics to Ardie's breeder and she was really impressed, not all groomers know what to do with a wirehair dachshund. Victoria seems very experienced and knowledgeable, and I found the price to be quite reasonable. I will definitely be bringing Ardie back there! read more

I took my cat here after a botched attempt at a home haircut... When I walked in, I immediately wanted to take him and run! There were dogs and hair everywhere! It looked like a kennel. The woman behind the desk gave me the impression she hated her job and didn't care about animals at all. I hesitantly left him there for three hours... When I came back, he was already in his crate, so I didn't see him. When I took him out of his crate, he looked great--she groomed him exactly how I wanted. BUT--now he's itching his right ear like crazy! Either he picked up something there... or she got water in his ear... either way, I feel bad for the little guy! Also, he DOES smell like an Avon lady... I'm almost worried about him licking himself and lapping up whatever crap she put on him. Needless to say, I probably won't go back. I feel bad because I normally love supporting (what appeared to be) a small business. But, he's way too traumatized! Lets hope this ear thing clears up... UPDATE: I took my cat to the vet after his ear got continually worse... it turns out he got a severe ear infection from getting stuff in his ear!! The vet bill cost $175.00 to clear it up! Needless to say, I am NEVER going back to this place!!! UPDATE: Looking Good Grooming paid for the trip to the vet to handle his ear infection. Although this was great and the "right" thing to do, I probably still won't go back. read more

Victoria and crew have provided my family's pets (4 dogs of various breeds & sizes) two decades of great haircuts. We could not have asked for a better cut/style or service. I took my king Charles cavalier to Victoria because he was in dire need of a good trimming and my usual place was booked up for the day. She instantly made me feel welcomed and I made my dog feel at ease, which can be a challenge since he has high anxiety. She did a great job of evening his fur, trimming his grinch paws and he smelt great. The price was better than going to the petsmart groomers and he seemed less stressed than normal when I picked him up. I will definitely be making this my new normal place! read more

Pricey, but so is Seattle. Despite the high price, though, my 70 lb labradoodle looks and smells amazing and I know he was in good hands the roughly 7 hours he was there. He's been getting groomed probably on average 4-5 times a year for his 9 years of existence (not in Seattle) and the quality cut and attention he got here was top notch considering it was his first visit. I have been taking my English cocker spaniel to Looking Good Grooming since she was 4 months old. She is now nearly 13 years old. I guess that says everything. We normally take our dog to Victoria, who does a fabulous job with her. But when Victorica has been away, Sue has groomed our dog and done a fine job. Over the years, I have always seen Sue and Victoria treat the animals in their care with the greatest respect and delight. When we moved from one neighborhood to another a long time ago, I tried another groomer who was closer to our new home. After one visit, we returned to Looking Good. That other groomer said she couldn't do a good job on my dog's face because the dog wouldn't let her. I have never heard any criticism of my dog's behavior from Victoria and Sue. If there is any downside, it is waiting for an appointment because the shop is very busy. But I only need to plan ahead a bit to overcome that "problem." read more

HORRIBLE PLACE! We took our dog here about 3 years ago. I probably should have written this review a long time ago, but I was just so upset at the time I had to cool down. We had an elderly dog, 14 years old, and we wanted to get his nails trimmed. We told the lady our dog is not used to grooming and would probably walk off the grooming platform. We said it would be best if she did it on the ground or a table. We were really concerned they would put him on the platform and walk away. So we hung around until they finish... luckily we did. She put my dog on the platform and WALKED AWAY! Our senior dog FELL OFF and HIT THE FLOOR! They did NOTHING, not even reacted! We rushed behind the counter and took our dog out of there. NO apology, didn't even acknowledge our dog fell. If we weren't there to see it they would have just let it go. DO NOT GO HERE!!! We took our dog to the vet right afterwards and luckily he was OK, nothing broken, just a little blood on his nose. HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! read more

They're good at the actual grooming. But they're so bad at communication that I'm never coming back again. Even though I said on the phone that I wanted to have my cat brushed out (not bathed, just brushed out) and take her home as soon as possible after I dropped her off, when I got there this was completely new information, and apparently something they'd never done before. So I waited in the lobby while the lady brushed my cat and complained about me loudly to her coworker, assuming I'd left. I'm just not doing that again. read more

Ii had been taking my poodle who is now 15 years old to Sue at this spa for about ten years. Sue retired in January and convinced me to try Victoria who also worked there. What a mistake. This woman has no patience with older dogs and can be extremely rude, i.e., canceling appointments an hour and half before which you have had for 3 weeks. The first time she groomed my dog she said he snapped at her. I had never heard this from original groomer in the ten years she took care of my dog. Victoria ended up muzzlng my dog who had never been muzzled before. As a result of this I cannot get near his face now to clean his eyes or give him is eye medicine. After three groomings she said "things were better". On our last appt. she cancelled at the last minute and said she would groom my dog the next morning. Not wanting to shuttle my older puppy from groomer to groomer I put up with her rudeness, abruptness, and canceling of appointments. Just as my dog was getting used to her she dropped us. Here reason? "Scheduling problems" !! and or "His teeth should be cleaned or he'll have a heart attack"....so now she's a vet. My dog had his teeth cleaned every five years and lastly four years ago. I have been advised by my two vets (one holistic, one regular) NOT to clean his teeth at this age because he's too old for anesthesia and messing around and scraping with his teeth might incur more problems. The bottom line here is she is not a nice person. Nor does she care for senior dogs who need a little extra care and tenderness I am 66 years old and have never written a review before but this was unacceptable. To lead us on and then just as my dog was learning to like her she dropped us.....and grinned about it. She absolutely grinned when saying we couldn't come back. She's very vindictive. She would not really give me a reason for dropping us....although I tipped her excessively. I cannot believe the difference between these two groomers.
