BEWARE!!!!! STAY FAR AWAY FROM TANIA AND CHRIS!!! If I could give zero stars I would! Let me sum my experience up in three words: LIARS, CHEATS, & THIEVES. For months my doormen watched them walk my dogs for X amount of time and brought it to my attention through casual conversation. I told the doorman that they were supposed to be walked for Y amount of time! He assured me that this was not the case and that my dogs were not and that I was being takin advantage of!!! I always kept a log so they must sign in and sign out and leave brief description about the day. Routinely they logged in at the same time and check out at the same time for the X amount of time. I couldn't believe what i was hearing because they seem so nice to my face. So i then put into place a recon mission with my doormen. They began tracking times in and out for months. These times matched my buildings dog walker key log!! They were lying on my log by falsifying the time of day and also the length of the walk. They were paid for double the amount of time they were spending with my dogs! They were basically giving my poor dogs a relief walk when they should have been exercising the dogs for the amount being paid for! THIS WENT ON FOR MONTHS ! I DON'T KNOW HOW MICH LONGER IT WENT ON PREVIOUS TO MY RECON MISSION AND HOW LONG IT WOULD HAVE CONTINUED IF MY DOORMAN HADNT BROUGHT IT TO MY ATTENTION!!!!!!!! SO TO CONCLUDE THEY MAY SEEM NICE TO YOUR FACE BUT WHEN YOUR NOT HOME THEY CAN BE LIARS CHEATS AND THIEVES! Chris is extremely friendly and reliable. He walked my Yorkie for over 3 years now.I trust him implicitly.My dog loves him, and looking forward to see him everyday. Since my Yorkie is somewhat untisocial, Chris takes time out of his busy schedual to play and socialize him above and beyond normal effort. As well when I travel for short term and long term business trips Chris boards my dog. My dog is very happy and well tended to while in his care. Chris is a first class guy. I am so happy I found this dude to help me with Lyla! Chris is wonderful, he is super flexible and available! If I have short notice, no problem, did not have dog food when I dropped her off - he took care of it on my behalf, If I want a pic of her when I am away - I get a pic! I have called him at 7:15 am when I was in a pinch (needed to drop her off by 8!) and required someone to look after my pup Lyla for 4 days - it was not a problem, guy is a true professional. I feel like I have a good friend taking care of my dog when I board her there, the dude cares about dogs and is fantastic with them. Lyla had such a great time with Chris over her four day stay and was wonderfully taken care of. When he brought her out she was excited to see me but also a little sad to leave Chris haha. Lyla is my best friend and I can't imagine leaving her with someone who provides a lesser service. After my experience with Chris I can not imagine bringing Lyla anywhere else. If you are looking for a dog walker or boarder give Chris a call, get a cup of coffee with the him if you want, its so important to have someone reliable and trustworthy and Chris is just that. read more

We were working with Tania and Chris for about a year and a half, paying for 45 minute walks M-F. As far as we know, everything was going well. One day we came home early at 3 pm, and discovered our dog had not been out yet (they are supposed to take him on his walk around noon). We then stepped out for a few minutes and returned to find the dog had been picked up in the interim. Tania returned with the dog after just a 15 minute walk, and acted as if everything was normal. I have no idea how long they had been ripping us off, but dog walking is a service that requires upstanding ethics and a solid trusting relationship between the dog owners and the walkers. I do not trust Chris and Tania at all, and I strongly advise you not to work with these people. read more

Chris and his fiancé Tania are amazing - professional, responsible and extremely good with the dogs they care for. I HIGHLY recommend DogDay Dog Walkers! I contacted Chris for an emergency walk and feeding for my dog when I realized as I was about to leave town that I didn't have anyone to walk or feed my dog for a 24-hour period. I Yelp-ed several dog walkers in my neighborhood at 8 am on a Friday and contacted everyone. Chris called me within the hour (it may not have even taken him that long!). Not only did Chris and Tania agree to meet me 45 minutes later at a halfway point between me and them, they did it with a smile and totally understood my situation. And they offer extremely competitive rates - $15 for 30 minutes, you can't beat that!! Tania did my intake on the corner where I arranged to meet her asking me all of the pertinent questions about my dog, including those that I never would have thought to ask which reassured me of their professionalism! My sister returned home a few hours after Chris walked and fed my dog and told me that the dog walker must have been great because my doggie was exhausted and VERY happy (which doesn't happen unless she gets a nice long walk with lots of petting!)! I have had the pleasure of both Chris and Tania walking my dogs and when I moved from east to west Harlem I was grateful I could keep Chris as our walker. He has been completely dependable and great with my large dogs. They can be a handful and I had one elderly dog with incontinence, dementia, and hip problems. Chris was also very very supportive as I have had to put the older dog down and he was great with her in her final months. I can't recommend them enough and in fact when I first met him and was given references to check, all of them couldn't say enough good things about him and his walkers. BEWARE. I've had Chris taking care of my dogs for approx 2 years. He had someone very reputable doing the daily walks for him for a while. I recently moved and had Chris boarding my 3 pups. He was doing a fine job, fairly reliable. That all changed this most recent time. I showed up to pick up my dogs early - Chris was not there. I messaged him a few times (I was early) so no big deal. He eventually responded and said his girlfriend would be down with the dogs. I waited 10 more minutes outside, getting irritated because I had had a long day of travel and was sitting outside in the cold. Not the end of the world by any stretch of the word. Chris came walking down the street shouting to me asking me what my problem was. Huh? I'm mildly irritated because I'm sitting outside in the cold. Once again not a big deal and nothing to make drama over. He starts shouting, waving his finger in my face over and over again. Why is he yelling? I have no idea. He shouts how I was early and didn't text him or call him (I did both) and continues to yell and wag his finger. I then told him his behavior was making me feel unsafe and he started yelling more. He then started filming our interaction. Once again - why? He was still yelling and saying on camera how he wasn't threatening me. It was insane. His girlfriend came down with the dogs medicine I was waiting for. Chris continued to film me as I got into my car and was filming 10 minutes later as I am sitting writing this review. This person is unhinged. There was absolutely no reason to escalate this to shouting and gesticulating and being aggressive. I never accused him of anything except for shouting at me for no reason which was making me uncomfortable. I would never ever trust this kind of person with my dogs again and am just grateful nothing happened to them while in his care. He is not to be trusted. read more

We have had the BEST experience with Tania and Chris from Dog Day Walkers. Tania is our regular dog walker and she is so good with our terribly sweet but nervous rescue dog, Lucy. Lucy is still getting used to her new Manhattan lifestyle and does not easily trust new people or experiences. Tania knew exactly how to work with Lucy and quickly gain her trust - we've had experience with other walkers but no one as patient and kind as Tania. Chris walked and boarded my dog-aggressive German Shorthaired Pointer for a number of years. He is a real dog lover and was truly a lifesaver for me... I can't imagine how I would have survived my crazy travel schedule without his flexibility, patience and reliability. My dog was walked by Chris and Tania for around 6 months. I thought everything was great until my roommate (who works nights and was in her room in the apt when the dog was picked up and dropped off) alerted me that the dog was frequently picked up hours late and that the walks were not the correct length. I also boarded my dog with them during the day sometimes and she was frequently picked up late and dropped off after 8pm when drop off is supposed to be around 6. She was also INCREDIBLY thirsty when she arrived home from a the day which makes me wonder whether there was fresh water available to the boarded dogs throughout the day. I was always assured my concerns were one time issues and that it would never happen again when I confronted Chris about these things, but these problems continued. Dogs are family members and should be treated with loving care. This is not the care provided by Chris and Tania. I switched to another dog walking service so that my dog would not be neglected and was much, MUCH happier with the service. Unlike DogDay Dog Walkers the new service was professional, organized, and always on time. Do not use DogDay Dog Walkers if you are looking for the best care for your pet. read more
