Well I can tell you that an assessment is a straight up dog breed discrimination. Just mentioning that you would need to house your sweet, friendly pitties and they immediately drop you like a hot potato. No "assessment" provided whatsoever. Just mentioned that the dogs are pit bulls and was given an immediate no. Didn't even see or meet the dogs. Highly unprofessional and irresponsible. Why put up a note that they would seemingly provide service for all kinds of dogs when they clearly don't? Also a quick cursory scroll of the 5star reviews show that they skew towards smaller, "cute" dogs. Further evidence that they are falsely advertising their services. If you can only handle small dogs, please just make that clear so that nobody can waste their time here again. In conclusion: Parents of pitties beware of this place!! And other pet parents-- please make an effort to support pet daycares that will provide service to all dogs, especially if they have done nothing wrong, and have always been good dogs. Unfortunately, because my dog has trauma from having had his dewclaws removed (I didn't do it to him - he's a rescue) he would not allow the groomer to clip his toenails. They asked us to come in and help but our dog was just so stressed out at that point that we couldn't touch his paws without him going into a panic. This is unfortunate because the main reason I was paying a groomer was to get help with clipping his claws. I just can't do it myself. I guess next time we can try giving him some anti-anxiety medication and see if that works. The groomer did take a little off the price because of not being able to cut his nails. I would recommend this groomer to anyone who has a well-behaved dog who is amenable to being groomed. I would not recommend them if you have an anxious or fearful dog. The haircut itself was really perfect and beautiful. I will probably try another groomer just because I need my dog's claws cut short, but if my dog was better behaved I would go back to this place because they give good haircuts.

My girls loved her as they would run up and greet her when she walked in the door. She earned my trust with her genuine compassion for all animals and when I saw their reaction to her. She consistently showed up rain or shine, almost always on time. If she is going to be late, she'll alway let you know. She paid close attention to each one of my dogs personalities and tried to accommodate their walks so they each would enjoy their time outside. She was flexible to last minute time or date changes and I could always call her if I needed her help outside of our arranged schedule. She takes her job very seriously and aims to make both the owners and dogs happy. She is reliable, responsible, patient, and gentle. She has a car and on hot days would drive my girls to the park so they didn't have to walk on the hot cement. This is just one example to show her consideration. She'll make sure they have plenty of water and don't overheat- which is huge for Frenchies. Her pricing is very fair and she will work with you to come to an arrangement that meets your needs. I highly recommend Maryann and feel extremely safe that my girls are in caring hands when they are with her.

For the past three days she could not go as she was sick when Jackie and the crew heard on Monday that I was afraid as her back legs went out they were the first people I called for support as soon as day camp was finishing up they all came over on their way home to help me get her to the vet and the concern was love that they had for her. Today one of the crew who she had not seen in a while came over and she went crazy with love he had been with her since she was six months old. My love for these guys is unbelievable. My daughter lives in Boston she has a shiba and every time she comes to visit she goes to camp. My niece who lives in Washington has a dachshund comes to visit he goes too and they all cannot wait to go they remember. As time goes on we now have two new members my daughters and mine new puppies Australian shepherds my Australian Shepherd goes daily my daughters when she visits. When I go away they go to fancy pants hotel and love it. Bottom line if you want your dog to be happy, loved and taken care of the price is brilliant compared to hiring someone to walk them two times a day and not play your dog is losing out they pick them up and drop them off. I cannot recommend Riverdale Groomers enough, specifically their groomer Lolo, who did a phenomenal job with my dog, Henry! ‍ THE BACKGROUND: Henry is a 3-year-old Field English Cocker Spaniel with incredibly thick, curly hair . Henry is an active boy who spends a lot of time off-leash on the trails, which means he constantly collects dirt, burrs, and debris in his coat! Between our busy schedules and it being over a year since his last professional groom, his fur had truly gotten out of hand . He had significant matting, especially in tricky areas like his armpits and ears . Lolo definitely had a lot of work on their hands, but they handled it with an incredible amount of quality care and meticulous attention to detail . Henry also deals with some codependency and anxiety issues. While we've been to major chains like Petco and PetSmart in the past--and they did a fine job--nothing compares to the quality of work Lolo provided . Lolo took all of my disclaimers about Henry's temperament to heart and used genuine TLC to ensure he had the best experience possible . Because Henry has a solid black coat, he attracts a lot of heat , and the weight of the matted curls was really weighing him down . I told Lolo to go "to the leather" (a close shave), and they executed it perfectly while refining the mohawk I requested! What really blew me away was their availability! Most groomers in the area (and surrounding neighborhoods) are booked out for weeks, if not months. Riverdale Groomers was able to offer me a same-day appointment or a slot just three days later! This is a total lifesaver if you need grooming on short notice, whether you're about to travel or just want your pup looking fresh sooner rather than later . The communication is also top-tier . They send a text the moment your dog is ready for pickup, and they actually answer the phone when you call! No dealing with annoying AI robots or leaving voicemails that never get returned-ugh. I'm not sure if they are a family-run business, but they certainly act like one! They truly care about their furry clients and their humans alike . The price is also super affordable for this level of expertise! Just a heads-up for new clients: they are CASH ONLY, so make sure you have your cash ready for the service and a well-deserved tip! While I know that can be a minor inconvenience for some, knowing beforehand makes everything a breeze. This is the same team that used to be Popcorn Pawz -- they've been serving Riverdale for over 15 years. They didn't close, they just rebranded and moved to a smaller space after COVID. Same owners, same groomers, same care. Finding a groomer who is genuinely good with cats is HARD. They are patient, experienced, and calm. My pets come home clean, comfortable, and never stressed. Their top groomer has over 30 years of experience, and it shows. They also offer pickup/drop-off and even insured cage-free boarding, which gives me so much peace of mind. It's a small, local business -- not a big corporation -- and you can feel the difference in how they treat both the animals and the clients.
