My chin during boarding. She looks cozy!

Excellent care and good communication!! I'm so glad that I found Nicole to take care of my Chinchilla girl for a week. Nicole answered all my questions and very detailed during our discussion before boarding. She also help me figure out solutions of issues we met when my Chin was onboard. I highly recommend Nicole and will definitely be using her service again!

UPDATE: I'm so glad you've responded so people can see just how sociopathic you sound. I can now also confirm that you don't comprehend what you read because I said clearly in my email to keep them away from a direct breeze in ac/ fan and to keep them in a room with 74° as the lowest temperature. That's literally the temperature you are to keep exotic birds at to prevent URIs. If you have veterinarian experience you would KNOW this. And the care plan was emailed so long ago before you received the birds. Why didn't you write to me to say if anything would be inconvenient for your family? If you thought anything was ridiculous before I had dropped off the birds you could've said something. You of course want to wait until you get a bad review to antagonize any of your clients. Second of all nowhere on my care plan had I asked you to play "HOURS OF YT VIDEOS". Once again, you need to READ. I honestly couldn't care less at this point whether you've done me a favor by washing their sheet Because 1- no one asked you to and 2- are you a laundromat now too that you're going to charge me? Of course I would write a bad review if I had a bad experience. Yelp is not only for good reviews. I find it bewildering that you keep bringing up that I'm young as if that will make everything I say irrelevant. And as a mother you of all people should know that just because you're older does not automatically make you right about everything. You have a disgusting personality and maybe with 14 More years of experience you'll learn to be a better pet sitter and maybe even a better person. Or if you can't you might as well discontinue this job.

We've entrusted the care of our two cats to Nicole whenever we leave town and have had absolutely zero reason to ever consider anyone else. Communication is always fast and easy, reliability is 10/10, and the fact that she's able to get any photos at all means they're comfortable with her and come out to say hi, which is AMAZING. Finding a pet sitter can be pretty daunting, but just one conversation with Nicole and you'll know you've found the one. Cannot recommend her enough!

Unfortunately, because my dog has trauma from having had his dewclaws removed (I didn't do it to him - he's a rescue) he would not allow the groomer to clip his toenails. They asked us to come in and help but our dog was just so stressed out at that point that we couldn't touch his paws without him going into a panic. This is unfortunate because the main reason I was paying a groomer was to get help with clipping his claws. I just can't do it myself. I guess next time we can try giving him some anti-anxiety medication and see if that works. The groomer did take a little off the price because of not being able to cut his nails. I would recommend this groomer to anyone who has a well-behaved dog who is amenable to being groomed. I would not recommend them if you have an anxious or fearful dog. The haircut itself was really perfect and beautiful. I will probably try another groomer just because I need my dog's claws cut short, but if my dog was better behaved I would go back to this place because they give good haircuts.

According to their online description, they may charge extra for "aggressive breeds," and would provide an "assessment" to determine if they can help board them. Well I can tell you that an assessment is a straight up dog breed discrimination. Just mentioning that you would need to house your sweet, friendly pitties and they immediately drop you like a hot potato. No "assessment" provided whatsoever. Just mentioned that the dogs are pit bulls and was given an immediate no. Didn't even see or meet the dogs. Highly unprofessional and irresponsible. Why put up a note that they would seemingly provide service for all kinds of dogs when they clearly don't? Also a quick cursory scroll of the 5star reviews show that they skew towards smaller, "cute" dogs. Further evidence that they are falsely advertising their services. If you can only handle small dogs, please just make that clear so that nobody can waste their time here again. In conclusion: Parents of pitties beware of this place!! And other pet parents-- please make an effort to support pet daycares that will provide service to all dogs, especially if they have done nothing wrong, and have always been good dogs. Will be telling all my dog parents to stay away from this place. See also attached the goodest beans that are looking for quality daycare services that this place clearly does not provide.

Our dog came home with a cut on his nose, filthy, and completely lethargic -- he wouldn't eat or move the next day. We rushed him to an emergency vet and discovered he had a serious skin infection and a fever. He is now on two weeks of antibiotics and has to wear a cone of shame. Total cost to us: $1,500 in emergency vet bills on top of the $900 we already paid them. When we contacted Glencadia, they refused to reimburse us or even have a real conversation about what happened. Their response was essentially: "you signed a disclaimer, sue us." They never emailed or called us to let us know our dog was injured or unwell during his stay. The photos they posted of him during the trip appeared deliberately framed to hide any signs of his condition. This is what you're signing up for. Protect your pet and go elsewhere.

She chose Glencadia because of how it presents itself--as a premier dog camp with attentive care, strong communication, and a safe, well-managed environment. Unfortunately, that was not her experience. While her dog was in their care, she received an email saying the dog had a cut "about the size of a nickel," that it might not be serious, and that they weren't sure how it happened. She was then asked what she wanted to do, rather than the staff taking immediate action. As a dog owner who was not nearby, this put her in a very stressful and unfair position. When she picked up her dog, the reality was far more serious. The wound was clearly much worse than described and extremely alarming to see in person. It was not minor, and it was difficult to understand how it had been communicated that way. What's most concerning is that: They could not explain how the injury occurred The severity of the wound was minimized The dog was not taken to a veterinarian immediately, despite mention that stitches might be needed I understand that facilities have liability policies, but that doesn't excuse a lack of transparency or failure to take appropriate care when an animal is injured. Watching my friend go through this--feeling shocked, upset, and let down after trusting them with her dog--was really difficult. No pet owner should have to question what happened to their dog or whether proper care was given. If you're considering Glencadia, I would strongly urge you to think twice and ask very detailed questions about how injuries are handled--because this experience was not what anyone would expect from a place with their reputation.
