Right away the setting is immaculate. The story of the shop is literally all over the walls. Fantastic accolades from Delaware's best culinary aficionados. The decor and music choices marry the Latin-inspired cuisine with a classic Rehoboth east-coast beach sensibility. I was made to feel warm (at heart, they still have AC to keep ya cool) and welcome. The highlight was the service. The man (I believe the owner himself) was the cheeriest and kindest man I've met all week. He encouraged all of our choices and offered us to try the delicious beverages (tamarind was my favorite!) Food was served quickly and with a smile. I was very satisfied even though I must admit I kept my choice pretty standard with the Little Missionary. While just a footlong with mayo, ketchup, and mustard, it really hit the spot when I just wanted more of a plain hot dog. My friends got the Little German and Little Cock which were coated in all manner of ingredients. My friends were so content, they got another dog to go. The service is fast and door dashers were in and out quite a few times in the 30 minutes I was eating there. Absolutely amazing! The Hispanic food here at the beach is some of the best I've had. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. You can really taste the authentic flavors in every bite. The service was just as impressive. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Do not go to Doggie Style! I recently wrote a review about how it's been kept waiting for my food to the customer as a DoorDash driver. Two owners are rude and they like to be rude to all DoorDash drivers for those who wanted to be kept waiting saying they're too early, including me. The next time if they give me lip to me or even if I come in as a customer to order food, then they'll be hell to pay. I don't care if it's me as a subcontractor, the owners need to get their act together and fix the system, so I'll be ready to get out of here on time and not 10 minutes late. read more

Doggie Style is a small restaurant 5 minutes away from the Boardwalk. While they advertise their foot long hot dogs and have amusing provocative names to go with, they mainly offer Puerto Rican dishes. I tried their beef empanadas and chicken plate. The chicken plate came with two sides, so I got their beans and plantains. The chicken was so moist and was perfectly complimented by the yellow rice. The next day we came again and had the whole fried snapper and it was only ok and expensive. We also had the guava and cheese Pastaillo and it too was only ok. However our friend got the La Catira Chicken Arepa and it was very good and also reasonably priced. We also tried the chicken empanada, also very good.
