The business called me to change my appointment, of which I made time to do so. I unfortunately had to change the time I changed to (within an hour of making the appointment), but as someone else pointed out it is IMPOSSIBLE to get anyone to pick up the phone. So I left a message. They also sent me texts to try to resolve the issue. So I reponded. Someone eventually called me to schedule my appointment to 10am. I then got a TEXT asking me if I want to schedule for 9am. I said, no I have the appointment for 10am. When I went in, I was told my appointment was at 9. I showed the texts that PROVED that I had a 10am scheduled and I was told it was MY fault, too bad they're booked. This isn't the first mix up here, so it's not an isolated incident. If they can't get this right, or customer service right I wonder how my dog is being treated while he gets his haircut... Time to find a new place.

I texted with the owner's daughter before we made an appt. I sent pics of her, pics of her with past haircuts that we like, gave specifics (watch for her little old lady growths, keep her hair super short all over her body, don't cut into the quicks of her nails, etc). I asked if all this info and pic would go to the groomer and she assured me it was all normal requests and that the info would indeed go to the groomer. Took our pup in, and when she was done, the cut was not what we had asked for or included pics of. This is so frustrating... why do these places ask for pics and say, " yeah yeah we can do that", and then throw our instructions to the wayside? It wasn't crooked at least, but it wasn't the cut we wanted and provided pics of. So, I had to walk around for another 20ish minutes so the groomer/ owner Carlos could cut our pup's hair closer to what we had requested. I also showed him the pic and he clearly was seeing it for the first time. Not cool at all. Also, from what I saw when I was in there, he wasn't that gentle with her, and he had like zero interaction with her. Doggos deserve all the gentleness and love. As we left, another dog was coming in and he was shaking SO badly. We wont be back.

I called Irene the owner and made an appointment online. Today was the big day. Irene was absolutely amazing! I cannot say enough about her and the fantastic job she did on grooming my Felix. She was able to trim his nails, bathe and condition his coat. She trimmed some areas he needed on his backside which makes it easier for him to stay clean. All her products were high end. He was relaxed enough to allow this to happen. I was shocked. My husband and I couldn't do it. He has never been groomed. This is a beautiful shop and I highly recommend this place. However, the groomer shaved far too close to the skin, leaving painful red, rashy areas that became pus-filled. While I expected a shorter cut due to the mats, I did not expect our dog to come home with skin damage and discomfort. It's clear that she needs more experience to handle these situations safely and with proper care. A skilled groomer should be able to manage mats while still protecting a pet's health and comfort. Unfortunately, that didn't happen here. We will not be returning and want other dog owners to be aware of our experience.
