I told them when making the appointment the only thing my dog doesn't like is anyone to touch her feet because I was bringing her for nail trim and rabies shot. This makes no sense for Dr. Maya Barfield to still charge me the $60.00 for exam but was able to do nail trim. They charged a total of $100.00. While she brought my dog back to me Dr. was holding her leash so tight she was gasping. We feel this was wrong as they should not charge for a service they promised to provide but did not, so how could she have taken her time? We will call on Monday to ask them to do the right thing and refund our money because I agreed to pay for and they agreed to provide these services, but they did not. We will dispute these charges with CC company. Will post follow up review. For those of you wondering my previous vet passed away and the other moved too far away.

My heart sank. I was not informed during his entire stay that he had bad diarrhea. My husband and I both called during his first stay and it was not shared with us that he had excessive diarrhea. Worst experience ever!!…read more I had to give 1 Star just so I can leave my review. This has been the worst experience for us. We left our 2 fur babies in the care of Mayia while on vacation abroad. She never contacted us, no videos, no pics. She refused to respond to any phone call, text message or emails. She refused to answer her door when we arrived early to pick up our babies. Police had to be called twice before after 3hrs of pretending she wasn't at home she finally opened the door. We got our babies back but noticed our German Shepherd wasn't acting right. She was very lethargic, weak and just kept falling asleep on the ride home. (Completely out of character). We concluded that Mayia must have been giving her some sort of drug to keep her sleeping. And that she wouldn't answer her door because our dog had not come out of the stupor she had been put in. Also noticed her brand new collar was all rusty as if had been in water for an extended amount of time. We have no clue what actually happened to our girls while in her care but I would advice to stay way from this girl. Her profiles look great and she even has good reviews on her new site but she can not be trusted at all. Our girls are fine now but still a bit shakin from their experience. If you truly love your fur babies do not allow Mayia Jackson to watch them. Who knows what goes on behind her closed doors. I will never hire a private sitter ever again.
