As a paying customer, I expected professionalism, respect, and a positive environment not to witness racist language being used. We sent our puppy to her for board and train, and I swear she sent back a completely different dog--one that pees OUTSIDE. I repeat: OUTSIDE. I don't know what kind of Hogwarts-level sorcery she pulled, but it worked. And that's just the beginning! My dog now knows how to sit like a proper lady, "leave it" like it's hot, and stay "quiet"like a ninja. The jumping to greet everyone like they owe her money? Way down. The nipping with those razor-sharp baby teeth? She taught her that humans are friends, not chew toys. We provided verbal instructions twice and written instructions stating that our dog needed to be fed at 7 AM and 7 PM so that his insulin could be administered on a consistent schedule. Unfortunately, we learned at pick up that he had been fed at approximately 8:30 AM and 4:30 PM each day instead. Consistency is extremely important for diabetic dogs, and this type of deviation can be dangerous. When we questioned the feeding times, we were told that special schedules are only followed when instructions are provided. After we pointed out that instructions had been given multiple times, they were eventually located in his chart. What's most disappointing is the apparent lack of concern regarding the seriousness of the error. Mistakes can happen, but attention to detail and an appropriate response are critical, especially when caring for animals with medical conditions. Based on our experience, we were left concerned about the level of communication and oversight provided. We'd never bring our dogs back.

While I can only assume my dog enjoys daycare and boarding, as the facility has no cameras, I have trusted Paw Lofts and recommended to friends many times. Every time I drop her she seems happy. Unfortunately, Maisie was boarded there last week and also received a bath and nail trim on Thursday. Once I got her home I noticed that one of her nails had been cut all the way to the quick -- her paw was actually bloody and there was dried blood matted onto the fur. Then on Saturday while she was playing at home, she bumped that same nail and it started GUSHING blood again. I had to rush to stop it with quick stop powder. This has never happened to her before. She obviously is a dog and doesn't love nail trims, but I have a hard time believing she was acting so out of control that this was unavoidable, she's pretty sweet and I grind her nails myself at home -- When I called to express my dissatisfaction, I was told they don't even use clippers, but a Dremel, which is specifically supposed to prevent this type of injury. That means they must have been grinding her nails aggressively for it to get this bad... I hate that she was clearly in pain and nobody told me or acknowledged it at pickup -- I only discovered it once we were home. I'm including a photo of her sad face that evening when we were having to hold a bandage over her bleeding toe. I have trusted this facility in the past, but transparency and gentle handling are non-negotiable when it comes to grooming. This shouldn't have happened and in the off chance it does I would have appreciated notification, an apology, and probably even a comped nail trim. I hope this is taken seriously so no other pet has to go through this.

We left our 2 fur babies in the care of Mayia while on vacation abroad. She never contacted us, no videos, no pics. She refused to respond to any phone call, text message or emails. She refused to answer her door when we arrived early to pick up our babies. Police had to be called twice before after 3hrs of pretending she wasn't at home she finally opened the door. We got our babies back but noticed our German Shepherd wasn't acting right. She was very lethargic, weak and just kept falling asleep on the ride home. (Completely out of character). We concluded that Mayia must have been giving her some sort of drug to keep her sleeping. And that she wouldn't answer her door because our dog had not come out of the stupor she had been put in. Also noticed her brand new collar was all rusty as if had been in water for an extended amount of time. We have no clue what actually happened to our girls while in her care but I would advice to stay way from this girl. Her profiles look great and she even has good reviews on her new site but she can not be trusted at all. Our girls are fine now but still a bit shakin from their experience. If you truly love your fur babies do not allow Mayia Jackson to watch them. Who knows what goes on behind her closed doors. I will never hire a private sitter ever again.
