We have used April's grooming since she started her business 16 years ago. Never had any issues with customer service or quality of grooming. They always have a fat ugly attitude. 7:30am I walk in to leave my two dogs, the manager there is on her phone while I'm telling her what I want on my dogs. That's the first thing. Bad customer service. I call to get an update at 12:30pm, they say one of my dogs is almost done... 1:58pm comes around and I get a message that ONE of my dogs is ready. I call to check the price, cause it's only cash. They say $220.83. My mom goes to pick them up but my mom was short .3 cents!!! 3 CENTS.. the lady still waited to get her 3 cents, but luckily my mom had a bill of $100. So my mom hands them $300. The change should be $1.17, and this lady only gives my mom $78 of change. Just like they didn't want to be short .3 cents instead they shorted us out $1.17 which is nothing but it just says a lot about how they handle business. So I drive up there to get the rest of the change. And at this point I'm over it. You already know it's a problem when they don't give receipts out. I go and they gave me $1 back, then I walk out and get in my car, and the MANAGER comes out and starts telling me I could've been nicer She continues to argue with me and I told her they need to start giving out receipts. I also pointed out her nasty attitude that she has Everytime dang time and that They are not welcoming at all. Then another girl that works there comes out and starts chiming in too. What a team effort when it comes to that but not when it comes to grooming, they took 7 hours on two dogs WHEN THEY HAD 3 girls onsite. They over load themselves with so many appointments in one day but they end up taking forever, and leave the dogs waiting their turn until they can get to them They lost my business, if you're looking to get your dogs groomed, this is not the place. read more

I called yesterday and I was quoted $47 for the service. I dropped my dog off at the time that I scheduled for her and I said I wanted her teeth brushed and nails trimmed. The lady said that would be $15. That's fine. They called me a couple of hours later to tell me she was ready. They said my cost would be $72. Not only that, but they ONLY take cash or check. Surely, I'm not the only one that doesn't carry cash around anymore. So, this is another deal breaker for me. I get up there only to find out they charged me $52 for the grooming service + $15 for "the works* + tax. I looked on their website and it says $42 for small breeds. I personally think this should include all the extras (brushing of teeth, nails being clipped, etc.) I wasn't at all happy with the cut, not sure what they did to my Yorkies ears, but I'm just not overall happy with my experience. I only tried them because I was recommended by someone. I will going back to my original groomer. My original groomer doesn't charge extra for certain things. It's all included in the price they quote me. And they sure don't complain about my 8 month old pup being difficult. I'm not one to typically complain. But this isn't my place. read more

Just moved to the Red Oak area last year and my shih tzu has been here 3 or 4 times. Everytime the grooming/cut is terrible. They use to text for appointment reminders but stopped out of the blue. When I called to make an appointment the lady over the phone acted like she had an attitude, like she didn't want to cut my dog. Fast forward to me picking my baby up she's cutting another shih tzu to perfection and threw my dog in the kennel looking a hot mess. The last straw was that they cut my babies nose.....DEEP. It hurts her so much she whimpers when I touch it. If you don't want to groom my dog just say that instead of giving attitude and a piss poor cut....and injuring my dog. read more

this place is horrible and unprofessional my little maltese and yorkie mix was nicked TWICED we've been here TWICE. a good groomer that actually knows how to do their job would atleast admit it but they did not they were snappy rude and disrespectful and quite frankly my little fur baby cut does not cut it. My pamchi went here last week I showed a photo to the lady st the front desk not knowing it would not reach the groomer, my dog's hair was chopped up something terrible and to think this place is close to my home I was so excited to only now look for another groomer. The groomer went on to say it's just one of those days....and I paid almost 70 bucks...never again and I don't recommend the place. read more

Not only do they graciously host a low cost shot clinic, but... you can also get other grooming services done at the same time. Did an excellent job on our ginormous black lab's nails. Booked an appointment, although there was no reason for me to have done so as they had animals to do before my cat. I went in for a lion cut on my 2 year old Persian cat, I paid $72+ dollars for JUST a shave, no ear cleaning, no paw cleaning JUST A SHAVE. The employees were rude to say the least they made me and my boyfriend uncomfortable until we left because we felt unwanted, they basically kept adding time to his finish time to make us want to leave but we wanted to stay TO WATCH OUR OWN CAT !!!For his safety I didn't want to leave him with strangers. This place is so unprofessional save your money for a nice groomer who deserves it. read more

Took four dogs in. Two double-coated lab mixes, one single coat boxer/lab, and one Pomeranian. They did an outstanding job on all of them! Their deshedding work is the best! I got the Pom groomed, not cut short, and April shaped her to perfection! The boxer/lab didn't want to leave! Reasonable prices too! read more

Had an appointment for my puppy. Took poodle pup to April, showed her a picture of cut wanted. She said ok. Asked if any extra charges she said no. Pup was not matted according to Barbara lady that took puppy. Called 5 hours later to see if ready, April said 20 minutes,got there haircut was terrible, pup flat headed and cut not what I had asked or showed picture of and she also charged extra. Said puppy was matted. Terrible, terrible, terrible. She never mention extra charge over phone and never apologized for the horrible flat head she gave my pup. read more

FINALLY, a groomer that takes the time to groom! FIRST, bring CASH OR CHECK (they DO NOT ACCEPT ANY TYPE OF CARDS). That was the only inconvenience. My Australian Shepherd has never looked so GORGEOUS! She smelled GREAT & her blowout looked better than most celebrities. It's been two weeks and her hair still feels like silk. They ask you what style/cut you want, offer organic products and have several add-on optionThey open early (7 am) and stay late (7 pm). Doesn't require pets to have shot records to be groomed there. Who knows what some of those dogs have....Big no-no to me, and the people that work there don't handle the senior dogs with gentle care. Too pricey for a bath and shave. Won't use again :-( read more

When I called to schedule a appointment, the phone rang more than four times, I should have hung up and called later. When the phone was answered the employee sounded aggravated, the first question she asked me was what type of dog I had. She immediately told me she was booked for two weeks. Our dog is large with lots of hair , so I got the feeling she did not want my business. Well, I usually go to PetsMart which I love, I was just trying to get a closer place. I learned my lesson!
