Way overdue review. I decided to write this review even though I NO LONGER take my dog there. The owner told me to not bring him back bc he was trying to bite. She's was Extremely unprofessional and had a bad attitude overall. When I first started taking my dog there she was more pleasant, but occasionally had attitude. Which I dismissed because everyone has a bad day here and they all ways did an excellent job at grooming my dog. I even had him boarded there once and it was great. Overall: I've been taking my dog to Scottie Paws for almost 4 years. I love the groomers and they do such a good job. I have recommended them to everyone that I know! Booking: Scottie Paws recently launched online booking! It's been super easy to get an appointment. I've never had a big problem squeezing my little guy in for a grooming appointment. Cleanliness & Ambience: I always thought their location was nice and clean, but their renovation has been great too. You can see the grooming table and I often see them grooming dogs and cats. How are they with pets? These ladies are amazing with my dog! Every single time they greet my dog with a lot of love. They have gotten used to his personality. Since my dog is really shy and scared of other dogs, they know to keep him separate from other dogs. If your dog is friendly and likes other dogs, I'll often see them walking around freely. Grooming: I find that grooming here is reasonably priced for the high quality that I get. My dog gets a bath, shave, cut, nail trim, and ear trim always. He looks really handsome afterwards and my vet always raves about how amazing a job they do on my dog's ear hair. I've also paid for teeth brushing when I'm having a hard time with my dog, and they do such a good job. It's fitting that the majority of positive reviews are from over 2 years ago. After dropping off our 3 year old frenchie for a bath, we get a call 15 minutes later to pick him up because he was "biting the staff". My husband and I were immediately shocked because in his 3 years, he has never so much as snapped, growled, or snared at anyone or any of the various groomers he has been to. From getting him at 11 weeks, we have played with his paws and touched his teeth to make him accustomed to grooming and it has truly paid off as he is constantly around babies and others and shows no aggressive behavior. Usually when we have picked him up from the vet/groomers, he is on someone's lap because they all love him. Upon picking him up- we were told that he was "aggressively lunging" at the staff. They made my husband go and grab him from the kennel (soaking wet) because he was a "dangerous animal". We asked if the lunging was simply because he was excited (which we know he does because he likes to be pet and give "kisses") and she said that it was "definitely aggressive lunging"- which is interesting because over the phone it was "biting". Seems like the goal is to only service dogs who sit like stone and not deal with puppies who behave like.... puppies. They kept the $25 deposit too. read more

I'm updating my review cause the owners response was a joke in my opinion. She kept writing under my review how she already knew who me and my dog were and kept referring to my dog as a she when it clearly says in English he's a HE. also floppy eared dogs are more prone for infections from water as said by a vet not some hack of a groomer who began charging $40 and then proceeded to charge $60 as time went on and the job is still just as bad. Now I'm going to the vet tomorrow where no, dogs don't get infections right after leaving the groomer because they ate so much grains and are on so much sugar. I wish I could leave a more positive review and I wish I would've noticed sooner and not 2 weeks later. So I took my toy poodle to Scottie Paws, and I understand she needed a cut because she had not had been to the groomers in a while. I decided to bring her here because it's closer despite having a groomer I've been going to for years. I said to do a clean shave on her face and to leave her a bit fluffy, not too short. Well, she didn't have any fluff but I figured okay it's because it's been a while, she must've had knots although the owner told me she just had some tangles, not matted fur. Regardless I let it slide and paid, this cost me more than the groomer I normally take her to. And today as my dog is sleeping on my lap I feel what seems to be a small bump and when I look she was shaved down way more there than the rest of her body and looking at her ears, the cut is a disaster; I could cut the fur around her ears better than that to say the least. This place does a really nice job with the haircut of my dogs. However the owner has a very bad attitude, she is extremely rude and is always bothered at something. My dog need a wash and a trim desperately I am 39 weeks pregnant and I haven't had the chance to take him to a groomer. Normally I take him to pet smart on Flagler however the past four times he has exhibited anxiety and refuse to walk in. For that reason I decide to look for places near by and I found Scottie Paws. The store smells great and the service was friendly right from the moment I walked in. The owner informed Bear would take awhile as she was alone. However it was far more shorter than when I leave him at pet smart. When I picked up my dog he looked well trimmed and smelled amazing. I have been inactive on Yelp for some time but am going through review drafts and decided to post this one from 2018. This review is based off my personal experience with this grooming facility as a client and their professionalism as seen on their social media. First and foremost, the owner of Scottie Paws is very knowledgeable, and she does a great job grooming pets. we brought our goldendoodle in for a trim and bath - our main reason for coming in was for her ears. we've never had dogs with so much fur and didn't realize how much dirt/ear wax can build up. Scottie Paws did a great job cleaning our girl up and making her look like the giant fluffball she is. When we picked up our golden, the owner showed us a picture of the ear wax and it was an embarrassing amount. She was informative on how to properly clean and how often to clean the ears. Prices are fair, we paid, I believe, around $70 for a 40lb Goldendoodle. Unfortunately, the staff and owner lack a great deal of professionalism. I follow their account on Instagram and am constantly disgusted by the things they post. when watching one of their stories (which i included on yelp, but for some reason was taken down.) the Scottie's personnel (not sure who it was speaking) cursed regarding a dog doing poo poo in the cage and degraded the owner of the dog. There have been many instances where Scotties treats their clients as if they do not love their furever friends and are terrible furparents. That is not how you run a business and is not how to keep your clients. After posting the video I mentioned before, Scotties went on their social media page attacking the reason for the post. There were many other clients who were behind me on the video and the owner of this establishment was very rude to each of them. The post was eventually deleted after a couple of hours. It seems that this business cannot handle criticism, but has no problem demeaning others. With all the mobile groomers and other grooming facilities out there, you would think a small business would do everything in their power to treat their clients with respect. After all, they are the reason you are in business. Side note: I expect a response from the owner citing some regulation on Yelp for posting an old review... That is OKAY. Accept the criticism and work on how you can change and not make people feel like crap. You do not know what people go through to be so judgmental of them. read more

This is the second time I take my English Bulldog (Traficante) here and I can't be happier that Aylee and the girls treat him like I would myself. I don't think I can ever take my dogs anywhere else. I've been going here for over a year now and it's been the best experience for me and my dogs. They do a much better job than other places in my area. I used to take my dogs to Petsmart and the quality of service from here is nothing to be compared. I've never been so happy with a establishment. The owner was beyond kind and took such good care of my golden retriever. He's very shy and he came back looking like a million bucks! The establishment was very clean and the staff went above and beyond making sure my dog was comfortable with his first Grooming! Horrible experience! The worst place I have ever taken my dog to! When I picked him up and got in my car he was crying the entire way back home. He is always the happiest dog in the world after he comes back from the groomers. They called me to tell me he was ready but that I had to pay for the "BAD DOG BEHAVIOR FEE" which they did mention before but I didn't care for it since I know that every single place I've taken my dog he has always been happy and I only get compliments from the groomers. She sounded proud to say she even got proof in the videos she took of him behaving bad and trying to bite her. And as soon as I got there she was dying to show me the videos. Which I didn't have time for. Anyway, this place looked like a good place because of the reviews. (Which I should have noticed there are not that many and they are probably fake) but lesson learned... please don't risk having your dog being treated in a certain way where he is going to "behave bad". If I can recommend somebody instead of this dog pound it would be Ernesto from the mobile professional grooming. I made the mistake of not waiting another week for me to schedule with him and rushed to get my dog groomed with a person who clearly does not love animals and seems bothered by their presence. It's a shame I have to give this place 1 star. IT GETS 0 from me EDIT: She is claiming she was professional and now she is calling the fee a different name which she didn't with me. She was anything but professional. She only kept complaining about my dog and had the worst attitude since the beginning. Very unprofessional and the worst customer service I have ever been given when it comes to my dog. Even the people (who make little to no money) at the shelter where I rescued him about a year ago had the best attitude in the world. So from the moment I rescued him till now this is the worst experience so far. And I want to make sure other people don't go through this. I forgot to mention how she referred to all my previous groomers as lying and dishonest people beacuse my dog was bad with her. So there was no way that he could have been good with other people before. It was sad to know that people who love their dogs like I love mine are going to keep taking them to a place like this. And the worst part is that my gut was telling me since the moment I dropped him off that there was something fishy about this place. I'm still regreting not turning back. But the least I can do is put my experience out there for other people to know. Also I never said she was lying about the video and him trying to bite her, all I said is that there had to be reasons for my dog to be aggressive towards somebody for THE FIRST TIME EVER! read more
