I am so grateful to Danielle, Darryl and the handlers (especially Sam!!) for creating such a perfect doggy day care. My high energy puppy can't get inside fast enough when we pull up and has zero concerns about the fact I won't be sticking around. At the end of the day, she's happy, worn out, and completely chill for the rest of the night. It is incredibly apparent that everyone involved with this facility loves (and is extremely knowledgeable about!) dogs and I trust them completely with my fur-baby. As an added bonus, they post pics of the dogs engaged in various activities throughout the day and seeing the pics of my pup is often the highlight of my day. They even created a report card for my pup at the end of her first visit to let me know how she did! There are so many good things to say about DogPlay, I can't possibly cover it all here. Easily one of my favourite things, however, is the fact they take the time to train the dogs rather than just supervising them. Within a week or so I noticed a marked improvement in my puppy's basic obedience and leash-walking skills. Also, since all the dogs I've seen there are quite well-behaved, they are not learning any bad habits (like barking) from each other. I also love how clean the facility is. There is not even the tiniest hint of a urine smell, which is a complaint I have read about in reviews of some other day care facilities. Finally, I feel I should mention how superb their boarding services are. Rather than kenneling them, their boarding is more like an extension of their day at day care. It is on site and open concept so the dogs can pick a doggy bed, crate, a spot on the couch or an area on the floor to curl up by themselves or with another dog. They are never alone because a handler is with them 24/7. In short, DogPlay is truly doggy heaven and it is such a relief to find a place I can leave my pup totally guilt free, knowing she is having the time of her life while I am away! I started to take our Labradoodle puppy to DogPlay several months ago after researching dog daycares on the westside of Vancouver. I took Bailey to three daycares for a trial visit and did not feel completely confident or comfortable for various reasons. Although DogPlay was further from our house, I made an appointment to take our pup for a trial visit after having a phone conversation with one of the owners, Darryl, and found that he and his wife, Danielle, were welcoming and kind. I immediately felt comfortable in the knowledge that our little guy would be treated in a caring manner. It was so nice to be able to log on to Facebook or Instagram in order to see photos of Bailey over the course of the day and to observe him happily playing with new friends while learning to socialise with others. Not only do I feel comfortable with the environment that Danielle and Darryl provide, but Bailey now understands the word "daycare" and nearly does back flips when asked whether he would like to go! He strains on his leash when he arrives and runs as fast as he can to their door. Dogs are intuitive animals and Bailey knows that he is in a trusted and enjoyable environment when spends time at DogPlay. We are so confident about the level of care being provided that we are boarding Bailey for one week with Darryl and Danielle when we leave for a holiday in the summer. The expansion of services to include grooming and larger daycare space will be an added bonus for current and future clients. I never hesitate to recommend DogPlay to anyone I meet. read more

We are so happy to have a dog daycare for our little Max and Dogplay is the best from our experience. The staff are awesome to us and Max. The place is clean and doesn't have that dog smell. Max would like to stay longer whenever we have to pick him up after being there the whole day he would say hi and would try to ran back in. There's really no bad thing to say or write about. We are very very happy that we found Dogplay. January 2018, Updated review We were away for 18days this holiday season and we got our little Max to stay at dogplay the whole time. We got lots of pictures and videos on how he's doing. We would often check on him. Seemed like he really was having a wonderful time. He also had a bath with dogplay during his stay and he looked so good. When we got back he looked happy and healthy. He got so lean from running and playing daily during his stay at dogplay. We're really happy that we had found the perfect dog daycare, boarding and spa place for our Max. The staff are wonderful and our experience had been nothing but positives. read more

My Puggle has been attending DogPlay five days a week for the last six weeks now and I'm so happy that I found this place. I have complete confidence that my dog is safe, happy and well cared for during her time there. The owners are professional, kind and patient with the dogs and provide excellent customer service as well. The environment is clean, bright and has a nice combination of play options ( including agility equipment and a treadmill) and resting spots. I really like that they take the dogs on two walks a day which are included in the price. Lots of other doggy daycares charge extra for walks. They also get as many potty breaks as they need. They post frequent photos and videos throughout the day on their Facebook page which is a really nice touch and a great way to check in on your pup. My dog is happy to push through the door with a wagging tail and a smile on her face every morning. She clearly enjoys herself there. read more

Dog play has helped Hershey so much. He no longer barks and/or growls at other dogs. He is much calmer now. When he gets home he eats his food which I also get at dogplay. Hershey has always been a picky eater and always always had constipation issues. Danielle suggested I try Orijen red. He now has no issues at all with his diet. They have an excellent groomer on site so you can leave your boy/girl for a grooming and a day of daycare. She listens to your needs whether it be just a touch up or a full groom. Every so often they have teeth cleaning services as well. The last time he had his teeth cleaned they found 2 broken teeth. Thankfully I was able to save his teeth. I would not have realized he had any teeth problems if not for them. I have so many wonderful things I can say about dog play but I feel it would be better if you experience them with your fury family member. DogPlay was the first daycare I looked at in Vancouver. After meeting Danielle and Daryl and seeing their relationship with the dogs, I knew I wouldn't have to look at anymore. I've been bringing my 5 month old puppy Sako there for 2 months now, and I pick him up happy and tired every single time. He's so excited to get to daycare in the morning that he sticks his head out the window and starts howling and squeeling when we're getting close. Big or small, the dogs at DogPlay are loved and well cared for. Danielle and Daryl have helped tremendously with staying on top of Sako's manners, and I frequently see the dogs out for potty breaks and walks. They post lots of pictures on Facebook and Instagram throughout the day so I can always spy on the little fart and his friends. Our Brinkley absolutely loves it at DogPlay! Once we drive up to drop him off the excitement starts. I saw a friend's FB post of her dog doing the agility course and I knew I had to check it out. We're fairly new clients to DogPlay but we plan to become long time clients. We love following Brinkley's day on FB and Twitter. We have no concerns leaving our precious pooch with Danielle and Darryl, we know he is well looked after. I highly recommend DogPlay and really excited to hear that they are expanding. More play space! There are several doggie day cares closer to my home but it's worth the drive for me to know Brinkley is having the best time possible. After doing some extensive research of Dog Daycares close to Richmond, I tried DogPlay based on a recommendation. My dog Dexter has been going now for almost two months. He LOVES it! He is always extremely excited to be there and starts barking excitedly as soon as we round the corner close to their location. Danielle and Darryl are very attentive to the dogs and are quick to offer tips and tricks to help train your dog. When I pick Dexter up at the end of the day, he is always so happy and tuckered out from all the energetic play. Their is never a dull moment at DogPlay! We are extremely happy to have such a wonderful daycare, boarding and grooming place for our English Springer Spaniel puppy Robbie. The staff is very friendly and kind to our puppy and Robbie has loved going there from the first day. He bounds in everyday excited to see the staff and his friends and always comes home tired but very content. We really appreciate that there is daycare, boarding and grooming all in one location. We recently went away for a week and we were very content leaving Robbie there knowing that he would be in a friendly home setting with people and other dogs that he knew and loved. I was really apprehensive about bringing in my energetic, needy Maltipoo who suffers from severe separation anxiety. I was afraid that I was going to get a poor report about his behaviour. But I was so relieved to hear that although he was a little anxious the first night, he settled in really well for the remainder of the stay. I was so incredibly happy! When I picked up Tuxedo, he seemed so calm. They were great! I really like the fact that a staff sleeps with the dogs. DogPlay is more than just daycare and boarding. I am impressed by their dedication and patience in getting to understand the specific needs and temperament of each individual dog in their care. We brought our dog to DogPlay for boarding during our trip and to our pleasant surprise a calmer and more mature dog came back to us. In particular we noticed less jumping/barking when excited and less leash tugging during walks. I must give all the credits to Danielle and her team of experienced handlers for training him to be a better, balanced dog during his stay. This is totally beyond our expectation! read more

I can't say enough about these folks. Started taking our Husky Blou here in the fall. He goes in an over excited bundle of energy and comes home happy and content! The place is not huge; however, it's still bigger then the most doggy day cares in Vancouver, and it's very clean. The owners are friendly, and I can tell they truly love dogs. The price is average. Easy parking for drop off and pick up. My super energetic dog Hunter loves to come here. He always comes here happily and go home dead tired. Every time I pick him up, the lady owner tells me how my dog has spent his day. read more
