Took my pup here for the first time this past week and it was nothing short of a great experience all around! The meet and greet was thorough and they asked lots of questions to get to know my pup and then explained everything about their facility to me. Once my puppy passed the meet and greet she got to stay for a free day which was a lovely bonus! I got to watch her on the cameras throughout the day having a blast and making so many friends! I was also running a tad late to pickup because of traffic but I call and let them know and they were super understanding. We will be going back and frequently! read more

Disappointing experience! We brought our dog here hoping to find a well staffed, well supervised day care. That wasn't the case. We got a call recently that our dog had been bitten due to another dog "correcting" him. The bite wasn't a little corrective nip, this broke the skin and bled, clearly aggressive. Our dog has never injured another dog or person in his life, yet they chose to blame the dog that did no harm instead of being concerned that they had an aggressive dog on their hands. A suggestion: having more than one coach in the room (the coach had no idea there was an issue until the injury was seen), more education on warning signs to be aware of so possible problem situations can be de-escalated before an injury. Their response to blame our pup for provoking another dog to bite (which was said to us multiple times) was the final straw. If you can't keep our dog safe, there's no way we're going to continue to bring him. We canceled immediately. read more

I would not recommend this Dogtopia location to anyone. An aggressive dog attacked our dog while in their care and left him with a three-inch gaping wound in his skin that required stitches. What's even more upsetting is that the daycare never informed us that anything had happened. We discovered the injury ourselves after bringing our dog home. The fact that aggressive dogs are allowed around other dogs is already concerning, but the complete lack of communication and transparency afterward is unacceptable. We trusted this facility to keep our dog safe and to notify us immediately if there was ever an incident. They failed to do both. Please be cautious before bringing your pets here. read more

They seem to care a lot but it smells HORRENDOUS. The urine stench is so strong. My dog comes home smelling like ammonia. They do not take the dogs out to go to the restroom, they just urinate and poop on the floor. That disgusting fact and I cannot see to see a water bowl visible in their play rooms. I haven't seen it on their webcams or when I toured the facility. I'm extremely concerned about the cleanliness of the facility. The dogs do seem to have fun, though. read more

I cannot begin to explain how happy I am to have found such a great daycare for my pup to go to! They have been so welcoming since day one! Oliver has water play days twice a week, they have special treat days that go to an amazing fundraiser to raise money for service dogs! They have craft days! Picture days... And the best was Oliver's birthday party/pics! He has so much fun every day he's there and comes home exhausted. I love being able to pop in and see him playing on the cameras! We, and more importantly our dog, loves Dogtopia. He goes once a week to socialize with other dogs and to burn off energy and is always very excited to get there. The facility is clean, the staff is friendly and professional. You can tell they all love dogs and love what they do. read more

The staff are friendly. The facilities are well kept and clean (it doesn't smell like urine, although you may get a whiff of a dog odor now and then...it is a dog daycare). I appreciate how they update me on how my pup is doing and any noteworthy actions. It's also nice they have an event calendar to switch things up for the pups. Last big note, they allow pickup until 10pm! How incredible for those who work late. I will definitely be doing at least 2x a week for my Millie. read more

We took our Frenchie here for over a year and absolutely loved it, until it was sold to new ownership. The new acting manager and franchise owner could care less to be inclusive of dogs who can only attend half days for medical reasons but yet find it completely reasonable to charge double the old rate. Even after communicating to the franchise owner our dog medically could not go more than 5 hours he proceeded to tell me dogs do better going full days with frequent breaks and don't offer half day pricing or any exceptions. I was given the option to pay $40 to send my dog dog for a half a day or as the acting manager said many people leave their pups for "2 hours while they go shopping." I was a HUGE advocate for Dogtopia of Arcadia and always spoke highly of the staff and previous owner. We'll certainly miss going there but would never recommend this place under the new ownership to anyone. read more

We absolutely loved this place when it was owned by Chip and Joann Wikins and staffed by some great people, including Destiny at the front desk. We sent our rescue puppy Max for about 9 months and they did so much work with him (a scared and possibly abused dog) in terms of socialization and play. In late 2022, this location got new ownership and we couldn't be more disappointed in how we were treated by the new management. At one point, they said "well, we have a waiting list so we don't need your business anyway." Truly disappointing to see them dismantle the amazing place the previous owners built. read more

Most bizarre conversation I've ever had with a business owner. The reviews about Chip are legitimate, he's extremely rude. I just called to ask what the process was to drop my dog off for a last minute day visit. I never mentioned that I wouldn't comply with their processes for evaluation. I would've been happy to go through the process, but suddenly the owner declared, "If you're looking to bring a dog in off the street we're not it." And then hung up on me. As a potential customer I find this extremely rude. I'm disappointed, as I live in the area and this location would've been convenient for me. I'll advise everyone I know not to bring their dog here. read more

Dog day care under a country club membership model. You pay even if you don't use the service. Zero flexibility. If I go on vacation for a month - too bad I pay because it's a "Membership". No half days, no grooming, nothing unless you're a member. You must decide beforehand which number of days you will use per week. That's right - by the week. If you get sick and miss a day, or two, or a week... too bad, so sad you are going to be charged full price, no exceptions... you don't get any roll over days. Gave me flashbacks of the old cell phone plans. Everything is by the week and you pay for a full day. No matter what. ZERO exceptions. read more

I have been bringing my two dogs, Sunny and Mellie here for the past few months and they both absolutely love it. I really can't say enough positive things about this place. But just to name a few...the warmth and friendliness of the entire staff, the fact that they all truly care about the dogs, not just knowing them all by name, but also their personalities thru observing them, playing and spending time with them. They treat the dogs like their own. Also the fact that both of my dogs can't wait to jump out of the car when we pull up, the greeting that we receive when we arrive, the hugs, the excitement to go in and play with their fur friends - it's just good vibes all around. The staff and the owner go the extra mile to be accommodating and make everyone comfortable. And probably the most compelling reason I have stayed and continue to bring my dogs in - my older dog was fearful at first, terrified in fact, (because this was new to her) she went from literally shuddering in the back seat and having to be coaxed out of the car, to now jumping into the front seat/my lap as we arrive! When we pull up she can't wait to jump out and run up to the front door. Complete transformation! That made me know 100% that my dogs are being treated well, having fun and enjoying the experience and they WANT to be there. Not to mention the fact that you can see them playing on the webcams too :) I will stay a loyal customer and I highly recommend this place/location to anyone who wants to know that their pups are in good hands at a place they can trust. :) read more

Called today to inquire about boarding and grooming. To my surprise, the girl on the line told me that the only way that I would have access to boarding and grooming were if I was a part of a day care membership. I find this extremely limiting and disappointing, as this business is losing out on a ton of business, including mine. Not everyone is going to want to take part of the weekly daycare. I would have loved the option to just schedule regular baths and grooming and an occasional boarding when needed. Needless to say, I will never patronize Dogtopia for these reasons. read more

I am afraid the Dogtopia at Indian School and 32nd St is too new and scattered to take on the care of my two dogs. This is solely based on the manner in which they have handled everything leading to dropping them off. First we were told no Bordatella (kennel cough) shot was required. Then it turned out they meant to say for bathing. Apparently for boarding it is required. Which is fine, but mix up #1. We signed up for the requisite "meet and greet" prior to boarding for temperament designation. We were told to bring in all their shots paperwork as well. No problem. We made a vet appt to get the Bordatella shots at 830am before going in at 1030am so we could bring in a complete set of shots paperwork. The DAY BEFORE the 'meet and greet' I got a call from Dogtopia. They had contacted our vet without permission to see what shots they had had. They did NOT have my permission to contact the vet. Ethically that is mind boggling. Once the dogs were in their care, they had full reign to contact the vet for emergencies or care issues. At this point the dogs had technically never been clients of theirs. They said the vet said the dogs did not have Bordatella shots yet. I told them the dogs had appts for 830am to get their Bordatella shots before our meeting. And, I added, I was told to bring all the paperwork regarding all shots with me, so why did they call the vet? Then they said they would have to CANCEL the "meet and greet" because the Bordatella shots need 48 hours before they take effect. No one had ever mentioned this to us before. What if we had been leaving on our trip Monday? Mistake #3. We would have been without dog care. Rescheduling the 'meet and greet' would now require someone to take off work in order to get this done before leaving town. We may or may not try them again when they get their act together. I hope they do and I appreciate their efforts to maintain a safe environment for all the animals. Until the process becomes a smoother one, we have to throw in the towel. read more

I'd give it 3.5 if I could. Thing is that the facility is pretty spacious,colorful, and clean; plus my pup likes to play with other friends, but loves humans. There is an attendant in every room and every one is different but I see them (on webcam) often watching the TV or just walking around with their hands in their pockets. Few times there's a ball in there that the attendant will toss. Not much of an interactive human-to-dog experience for my pup. I started seeing my pup in a corner with no one paying attention to her. My pup seems to rather stay home now. read more

Omg, the staff is so nice and attentive. I cannot believe I became a helicopter mom to my French Bulldog but I am. She is tiny for a Frenchie and I have had her since she was 8 weeks old. We pretty much are attached to each other. I thought day care would be good for both of us. I could actually work during the day and she could play. But...I have been having separation anxiety about leaving her and can't tell if she likes it or not. The staff has really been sweet with my concerns and worries. I know that she is in super a safe hands and the issues are me being worried. I do love that now she likes her kennel which I think is due to nap time and I love the little activities that they do. Our sweet Lola doesn't really know how to play with other dogs so I wasn't sure how she would do here. We needed to find a place to board her from time to time so I thought we would give it a try. I love the concept of the boarding being combined with the daycare so she doesn't just sit cooped up all day. She had her meet and greet and then I signed her up for 3 more days. By the time she had spent a few days there I think she was really enjoying it. I feel confident that she will do well when we board her here and it's great to have the option to take her for daycare if I need to. The staff are so kind and truly seem to care about my furbaby. Prior to bringing my frenchie, Brooklyn, to Dogtopia, I had another frenchie who unfortunately passed at 8 months old. When I got Brooklyn, I was terrified to leave her in someone else's care. The first night I boarded Brooklyn at Dogtopia, I woke up the next morning with photos of Brooklyn emailed to me and telling me she was doing great. Brooklyn LOVES going to Dogtopia and I LOVE how tired she is when she gets home - whether it's a half day, full day, or overnight boarding. The owners and managers are truly the best. Left our pup here for 8 days of boarding. About 4 days in we were informed he had diarrhea and not to be concerned. Next day they started him on pumpkin instead of his regular food. We kept trying to reach someone during the day to check on him and had no voice mails returned. He could not be seen on the webcams most of the day. When we picked him up, he had very little energy and was extremely thirsty. When examined, his anus was raw and red - he should have seen a vet, been on medication for the diarrhea and been wearing a dog cone to prevent licking. Cost us a $100 vet bill to get meds for the diarrhea that had still not stopped. We had requested a bath the day of pickup - he was partially bathed but still had tons of discharge under his eyes that was old, dry and caked into his hair. We received his bedding in a plastic bag as it might have been exposed to a dog that came in with lice. We were told he was not exposed to that dog. With no exposure to other dogs, he came down with kennel cough 6 days later and another $100 vet bill. Given the general lack of care and poor communication, we will not use this business again. The only thing they seemed interested in was selling us another $399 card for 10 days of boarding! read more

We will make it in if we can occasionally. Maybe consider two one hour nap times :) then we'd be there regularly. They treat our dog as if he is their own. The dogs get to run indoors and outdoors. All supervised by loving staff members. I cannot recommend a better place for your four legged child. read more

I was very happy with Dogtopia. My dog loved going; the staff was very nice, caring, and competent with the dogs; and it was reasonably priced...it cost more than some competing doggie daycare chains, but was worth it due to the good care I felt like my dog was receiving. I trusted them with my dog when I went away on trips for multiple days at a time. I liked that you could choose from a variety of plans, either monthly memberships, packages where each visit was a reduced rate, or the rate for one day at a time. When I attempted to book my dog for boarding at Dogtopia for one night during the upcoming weekend, I got an email back that I would have to call regarding the request, with no further details on why the request was not approved. When I called, I was informed that the business had new owners, and that the old pricing structure was no longer valid...now only monthly memberships were available, and in order to board a dog, you had to buy a monthly membership. I was told that because I still had some money on my account, I could put that toward the night of boarding-- the price had gone up by $15 a night-- but that it would be fine for my dog to board for the night, though in the future, I would have to join with a monthly membership in order to board my dog. She said, didn't you get the email about all this? I said, no, I had received nothing from them, and had never heard of it, even though I had been taking my dog there once or twice a week regularly. When I opened the email she then sent, it turns out I had already missed multiple deadlines to lock in reduced rates for loyal customers. When I called back to find out if they would honor a loyalty plan for me, given that I was a loyal customer who never received any information about this change prior to today, I was told that no, the best they could do was give me 5% off the new plans, as opposed to the 20% or 10% they had offered other customers who had signed up sooner. Additionally, it turned out that whereas I had been buying 10-20 days at a time that I could use anytime I wanted for around $34 a day, on the new plan, the minimum obligation was one day per week, at $46 a day, meaning that I would be locked in to paying $184 each month, for only one day of doggie daycare per week. Increased cost with less flexibility. The only improvement as far as I could tell for the increased cost was extended hours, but that wouldn't matter to me, since I never would need to drop off or pick up my dog outside of the hours the old owners offered. After 5 PM, I received a voicemail message that I would need to call back by 7 PM to make arrangements for boarding my dog the following day. I called back and said I had already spoken to someone that morning and made arrangements to board my dog for one night for $76. I was told that no, I would have to choose a membership plan immediately in order to board my dog, that what I had been told that morning would not be honored. All in all, a frustrating, disappointing experience that made me never want to involve myself with them again, but me and my dog will miss the old Dogtopia. read more

One of my dogs Alfie is very anxious and has a really hard time warming up to new people/places/dogs. After a week of regular visits he would start whining with excitement when we pulled into the parking lot and didn't even look back at me when they walked him to the playroom! I love that the Dogtopia facility looks and smells SO clean. Especially with the hot summer months coming up they have a great indoor space that the dogs can still run around in. The staff is incredibly patient and love my dogs like their own. I don't think I can ask for anything more and I can't imagine bringing them anywhere else! read more

Owner did refund the fees for dog 2 and 3 which I definitely appreciate. I asked them for their boarding fees and their reply was: Our boarding is $60 a night for kennels in the playrooms and $70 a night for suite boarding. If you have more than one dog boarding with us you get 10% off the per night price for dogs 2,3,4,etc. So in your case Bugsy was $60 a night and Daisy and Katie were $54 a night. (Actually we only charged you the price for the playroom boarding, $60/night, and not the suite boarding, $70/night, which is where your pups stayed) We also give a multi-day discount which is 10% off the total price for stays of 5 days or more. We do not give a discount if dogs stay in a suite together because a large component of the boarding cost is that you are getting a full day of daycare for each dog. I'll let others decide if that is worth it for others. read more

I will be clear up front, the 1 star is solely for the owner Chip. I tried Dogtopia when my normal boarding place was full. I went to pick up my pup and 5 minutes in the door at home he was puking. I called to see if anything happened, was he sick there. I got the run around with little to no information. I had a perfectly healthy dog and got back a very sick puppy. I needed the information for the vet to try and target what was wrong. Things weren't adding up. The illness continued through out the day and off to the weekend emergency vet we went. Chip called me, was very rude and cold... he was not helping. Here I am leaving my dog overnight, very upset and he is getting angry with me, like why bother calling me? He wanted me to admit it was not their fault. I was not going to take that off the table and give him that.. not that I was looking for anything. He ended up HANGING UP ON ME! Seriously? Who does that? I would never take my animal there again or recommend anyone taking their animal there. What a joke. read more

Our Goldendoodle Olly Bear had the best Valentines Day ever, thanks to Chip and his staff at Dogtopia in Arcadia! It was her first day at doggie daycare and we were amazed at how much fun she had. We could not stop watching her on the live webcam, playing with the other dogs, bobbing for apples in the kiddie pool, chasing bubbles, and interacting with the employees. When we picked her up Dogtopia made us a Valentines Day note card and a special heart shaped natural treat for Olly Bear. I would give zero stars if it would let me. We used to absolutely love coming here and loved the owners and staff. Then they sold to new owners, and they're terrible. I had JUST PURCHASED a daycare package right before they sold, and they refused to honor it. I bought 40 half days and they are not doing half days. They didn't convert my pass to 20 full days either, they just used it as a $ credit amount based on their own high pricing. Whole days were $34 when I bought it, and the new ownership changed it to $46. You can't do a drop in, they force you to pick specific days per week that you'll come, they require a whole separate plan for weekend days, and if you can't come they still charge you. I decided not to bring my dog in yesterday because I had covid, but that cost me $46. I was going to just run out my credits and go somewhere else, but I am so fed up with them I'm done. read more

I love this place!! I love the product/service and the people! My pup has been going here since she was of age to go to a daycare. I was turned on to the place by a friend and quickly fell in love. I love watching her on the webcams, and that all the staff take pride in their work knowing each dog and each customer. My pup's personality has grown as she did. She wasn't engaging as much as she did when she was younger and the canine coaches took notice and encourage her - boosting her confidence and letting her get out all that energy. The owners have been extremely nice and very flexible with us as we work out a schedule that fits my pup's needs best. I recommend this place to anyone with a dog; check them out! read more

I watch my dog on their cameras all day and they give every single dog love and attention. They endlessly clean the rooms and plan fun events like pool parties and luaus. I work long hours in healthcare and there is no other place in the valley that caters more to my busy schedule. I drive 15 minutes out of my way just to take my baby there. They open earlier than any other daycare and they have even stayed over a few minutes when I was running late!
