I've had dogs, one after another, since…read morechildhood, and have interacted with many vets throughout my life, some great, some not so much. Dr. Sabadish really stands out. When my husband's beloved pug, Wally, was old and ailing, Dr. Sabadish provided thoughtful and compassionate care not just for the dog, but for my husband. She clearly wanted the best for his dog and for my husband. She considered cost concerns automatically, without being asked. When it was time to end Wally's pain, Dr. Sabadish was extremely calming and kind. I'm tearing up just thinking about it. We have one dog left who is the sweetest, gentlest creature on earth. He is now middle-aged/senior and has had some health concerns cropping up. I'm pretty obviously a high-anxiety dog parent, but Dr. Sabadish doesn't blink at patiently answering all of my questions and giving us her detailed thoughts, presented without sugarcoating, yet with compassion. She is obviously extremely smart and clearly truly loves animals, but the thing that stands out even more about Dr. Sabadish is how good she is with the people who love those animals. At this point, I would not trust my amazing dog to any other veterinarian. As for Hidden Valley in general, we have had nothing but easy, positive, friendly interactions with everyone there. We are really impressed.

The office manager was cavalier about my 'unfortunate' added expense and her failure to follow up to make sure that I was notified (she clearly is not living on retirement funds). Their corporate office is likely ecstatic for the additional cash which is why their 'notice' was buried among their own weekly spam emails and the other barrage of emails that I/we all get. side note: when I made the appointment, I was not told/reminded about their cancellation of my pet insurance, either. PS. I'm not in MN, is google on drugs?

To Whom It May Concern,…read more I am submitting this formal complaint regarding my experience with Dogtopia's handling of my adopted dog during multiple visits and boarding stays. Across these interactions, I observed repeated communication inconsistencies, a lack of transparency regarding incidents, and increasingly unprofessional conduct toward my pet. Records show staff provided conflicting explanations about my dog's behavior and condition. At times, I was told my dog was "great overnight," while at other times staff described him as "grumpy," "snappy," "overstimulated," or involved in behavioral incidents. There were also discrepancies regarding the cause of my dog's limp and paw injury. These inconsistencies created confusion and concern regarding the accuracy of incident reporting, staff supervision, and the overall handling of my pet. Communications frequently came across as defensive and dismissive of my concerns rather than providing clear, professional, and collaborative updates. I am concerned my dog was unfairly labeled as aggressive while staff simultaneously acknowledged he was placed in overstimulating and crowded environments without access to calmer accommodations. This raises concerns that environmental management and supervision may have contributed to the reported incidents. Additionally, some staff communications became excessive and distressing, feeling accusatory and intimidating rather than compassionate or solution-oriented. As the owner of an adopted pet, I expected consistent, professional care and respectful communication. I respectfully request the following actions: Conduct a formal review of how my pet was managed while in Dogtopia's care. Review staff communication practices and incident reporting procedures for consistency and accuracy. Provide clarification regarding the conflicting explanations concerning my dog's injury and behavior. Ensure fair and professional treatment for all customers and adopted pets, free from bias, intimidation, or unnecessary escalation. Take appropriate corrective actions to improve transparency, accountability, and customer relations moving forward. This complaint is supported by documented text communications from Dogtopia staff describing the incidents, behavioral assessments, injury explanations, and subsequent interactions. I appreciate your time and attention to this matter and request that this complaint be formally documented and reviewed. Sincerely, [Redacted] Supporting Notes From Communications * Staff initially stated there were "no issues," then later reported aggression and overstimulation concerns. * Conflicting explanations were provided regarding the source of my dog's limp and paw injury. * Staff acknowledged the playroom was unusually busy and that calmer rooms were unavailable on certain days. * Repeated behavioral accusations were made while also acknowledging environmental overstimulation and lack of separation options.

The other one is sweet natured, but barks incessantly in any new situation or when other people or dogs are encountered. They both love Amber, and she is better able to handle them than any dog trainer I have used. (And I have used numerous.) Amber not only provides walks and play time, but it is clear that she has been helping to train the dogs. They have shown significantly improved behavior on walks after she has been working with them. She is extremely patient with them and clearly cares for them. Both dogs love her, and I can't imagine using anyone else. Amber has provided daily walks for extra exercise and has also cared for them when I was traveling. Neither dog seems to miss me when I am out of town....which I consider to be the best recommendation possible! She seems to truly understand them and goes out of her way to make sure they are happy and comfortable. She is an absolute natural around dogs, and I'd recommend her to anybody.
