Totchos, 2 hotdogs with relish and sauerkraut..
    Najla S.

Dogtown is a no-frills hot dog joint where you can build your own hot dog or get some of the specialties and burgers. There are no fries but tater tots. It's a good place for kids. Hot dogs were tasty, but I was irked at having to pay .50 for sauerkraut. Totchos were tots with chili, cheese pico de gallo and jalapeños. With a soda it comes to a whopping $23. Service was fine. 4 stars because of the tall prices and not favorable location. Parking is small and in a busy part of downtown bethel. I would come back if I don't feel like driving down to Jordan's hotdogs and mac in New haven.

My very first time trying Dogtown. It was a Saturday afternoon and the place was hopping. They offer two types of hot dogs local to CT. The Original - Pork and Beef Blend from Martin Rosol in New Britain, and the Kosher - Hummel from New Haven. When I walked in the young women at the register happily greeted me. I ordered two hummels with brown mustard and tater tots with cheese. There are only six stools with a small counter. So I had to take my food to go and eat in the car. I could not get a picture of the decor because they were so busy. I did not want any of the other customers thinking I was taking their picture. I was full after my two hot dogs and wasted more of the tater tots than I would have liked. My food was delicious, hot, and filling! See the pics of the menu or look online for their other offerings.

Dogtown has brought delicious hot dogs to town! They also offer an amazing selection of toppings, and a variety of side options and great alternatives for those not into dogs. Service was very quick and everything was packed into a convenient carton tray that makes it easy to carry & transport. I just wished they didn't already close at 4pm.

ATMOSPHERE: Since Chomp Chomp is located in a mall food court, the atmosphere is as expected -- lots of background noises, scents, and activity. In a nutshell, not a relaxing place to gather and dine. CONCEPT: Chomp Chomp is fast food, but offers a curiously diverse list of dishes such as pastrami sandwiches, rice bowls, pork belly bao, and Oklahoma-style burgers. Likewise, Chomp Chomp offers a diverse range of beverages to complement your chosen dish, including mango milkshake, Coke, and creamsicle float. FOOD: So much is offered on the menu, but I've been enamored by the Oklahoma-style burger and have yet to explore the menu. As I understand this century-old regional burger preparation method, beef is smashed on a grill, seasoned, topped with thin slices of onions, which in turn are covered with cheese. Steam from the onions permeates the cheese as it melts. The result is a super moist burger in which flavors of each component are married, rather than contrasted. SERVICE: Each time I've visited the person working the counter was enthusiastic about the new business and eager to offer guidance. TIP: For a few dollars more you can get fries and a drink. For a single burger this ends up being around cost of McDonald's ($12), but the quality, service, and flavor is far better at Chomp Chomp. The Oklahoma burger is available as single or double. I found that the flavor was more pronounced in the double version. Toppings are customizable. For example, you can add lettuce and tomato on a burger, or add meat or sauces to fries. (That said, I prefer to stick to the original Oklahoma burger version in order to experience the regional burger in its original form.)

I usually have chicken when I visit Chomp Chomp and it's always juicy and hot. They have a Chomp Chomp sauce that I really like, it's especially good with fries. Additionally, the brioche buns they use are very high quality. This is a good alternative if you're tired of the other places in the food court.

No more. I've given up on this place. I went a few times in the past and it was "good enough."…read moreUnfortunately, the two most recent times I walked out very frustrated. Today, I ordered Crab Cakes Benedict and as they were being brought to the table I smelled a strong fishy smell and I have a weak sense of smell. I took one bite and lo and behold, it tasted off. I let them know and asked for just regular Eggs Benedict. She asked if I wanted Canadian Bacon and I asked for other options, and decided on regular bacon. I waited a little bit and they brought it out with Canadian Bacon, not regular bacon, I was about to just take it off and eat it but the girl realized her mistake and said she would fix it. By the time they brought out the "third" version we barely had any time left. It comes time to pay and the bill has Crab Cakes Benedict $20. I mentioned it to the server because what I ate was cheaper and she said "the kitchen told me to charge you that." Excuse me?! You mean the fishy, old crabcakes that could have gotten me sick? Not to mention the inconvenience of waiting. I honestly couldn't believe the audacity. Also, SHAME ON THEM for trying to get away with that--what about someone else that doesn't notice or just acquiesces to not be a bother. Also, two weeks prior when we went, we were about 50% done with our meal and my young daughter suddenly had to use the restroom--I left my keys on the table and smiled at the servers on our way to the bathroom. I come back and our food was thrown out and my keys were at the hostess stand. Really?? They offered to remake the food after the fact but I had to get my daughter to school and we didn't have time. Never again Edit to add my response to the owner's reply: Ron, I'm happy for you and your crab cake business. I love crab cakes which is why I ordered them--there's absolutely no reason for me to not eat them after ordering. To reiterate, within the first bite, I noticed they tasted off, smelled off too--I didn't care to chance food poisoning. In your reply to my review, your accusation that I'm "trying to hurt a small business" is an interesting, if not telling choice of language and one that's quite incendiary. I posted my review on Google & Yelp, the two places that I use for reference. It's curious that you view this as an attempt to essentially dismantle your business. Review systems were put in place so that people can share their experiences and that is exactly what I have done.

That's a long dog and they are very accommodating. I order the Chicago dog, which is their version of a Chicago dog. Give them an A for effort for doing the best they can with the ingredients that they Had. It's definitely not a traditional Chicago Dog, but it was tasty and they put effort into making it. Definitely a no frills spot, but the girl behind the counter was nice and since we were eating in, she brought the food to our table and didn't have us pay until the end, which was sweet of her. My husband did the double dog, which came with chili, cheese, and bacon, and it satisfied his craving. I did a plain dog and a Texas dog minus the chili. Loved that they were footlongs! We also shared the Colombian empanadas, which were fine. Not bad for when you want a quick meal in Bethel.

And an order of seasoned beast style fries (hello toppings) that were topped with caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles mayo, ketchup and mustard, no drink came with what he ordered. He said it had flavor and liked the softness of the bun. He devoured everything in no time. The reason I gave it a 4 star rating is the price. I spent $20.30 to be exact on 2 items. A bit pricey if you ask me. But hey then again what do I know about beef prices now a days. It's the hype, brand and fad that I basically invested into. I looked up who MrBeast was and wasn't surprised it was another YouTuber just trying to make his millions in this social media era. Smart man. The packaging was catchy as it's colorful and funky. But that's about it folks. They didn't even give out ketchup or mayo packets. I like those much hehe.

I typically don't do mocktails, but this one tasted like the real thing. It was only $6, many places charge around $10. For my meal, I got the fish tacos. These came with three corn tortillas, filled with grilled cod, avocado and slaw. On the side there was rice and beans. This was so filling, fresh and tasty! I also enjoyed the rice and beans. I could've had just two tacos, but I had all three. Our waitress was fast and efficient. Everyone else was happy with their meals. The restroom featured just one stall.
