I recently went on a 10 day trip and had never left my dogs before so needless to say I was very worried. We have spirited larger dogs (blind Siberian husky and crazy springer spaniel). Cost was not too bad. Worth every penny to me. $25.00 for a half hour walk and $30.00 for 45 minutes. I sprung for the 45 minutes. Kelly was our our walker and she took great care of our dogs letting them be themselves and taking great pics of them on their walks with huge smiles on their faces. By far the best dog walking/ pet sitting service I have ever used. They always go above and beyond. I wanted to surprise my fiance with a small trip for her birthday. She is usually the one who makes all the arrangements but in order for me to make it a surprise, I contacted them myself. They could not have been more friendly and helped me keep it a surprise. I have used dogwalker etc. on several occasions each time the same employee was assigned to my account which was great because she was familiar with the dogs' routines. Michelle services the Kahala, Kaimuki, and surrounding areas and she is fantastic! She has a winning personality and absolutely adores my dogs (and they love her!) and hit it off immediately with them. Each day the dogs are walked a note is written summarizing how the walk and playtime panned out and whether they were well-behaved. I have four dogs of various ages and varying breeds and Michelle can handle all of them! dogwalker etc. has done a terrific job matching Michelle with my dogs. Couldn't be better if they tried. I should have written this review ages ago, but at least in the meantime I've been telling people in person how great they are. Anyway... Back in April (I told you it's been awhile) my husband and I had to head back east for a wedding. We hired dogwalker, etc to come watch our cats. Franny came out beforehand to meet us and the kitties, go over what was needed and expected, the basics. She's a sweetheart and I felt instantly at ease as she started petting Buddy Motorcycle. I'm an admitted crazy cat lady and had a ton of questions/concerns but she answered them all and even had a few I hadn't thought of. Anyway, every day she came to visit she took pictures of my cats and texted them to me with status updates. --Seriously, imagine how crazy I seemed being excited for photo of my cats coming to my phone during a wedding. These are the BEST pet sitters and dog walkers on Oahu! For the past 2 years Dogwalker Etc and it's awesome staff have been caring for my 2 cute pooches: Pepper & Gizmo. Anytime I have a question, Dogwalker Etc owner, Erin, has been giving me advice for my dogs. It's been especially helpful when we adopted my little handful Gizmo. We have had typical new puppy owner issues like housebreaking, crate training and diet questions (Why does he eat his poop??!!). Erin helped me navigate these problems with confidence, steering me in the right direction to find the answers we all needed. We went on a trip for 10 days and this team was amazing to our dog and 3 cats. Later, last minute we had an emergency and they were able to quickly jump in to get the keys at the emergency department and take care of our 4 pawed family until we got home . Not sure what happened, but I signed up for an account on the website to get a reply on what services were available, but I never got a response back from earlier this year. I was looking for a possible dog walking service during a period of recovery after an operation. I got past my recovery and I'm walking my dog once again, but I don't plan on using Dogwalkers in the future due to lack to my response earlier this year. UPDATE: Just talked to the owner and what apparently happened is a message was left on my voicemail, but the message must've gotten lost from my cell service. The policy of Dogwalkers is one reply per customer. I was able to talk to the owner and am satisfied with their follow-up and I look forward to utilizing their services when the time comes. read more

This review is for their pet sitting services only. I have not used their dogwalking services. My dog is part of my family. I absolutely adore her. It was difficult for me to find a place where I felt comfortable leaving her, especially for an extended amount of time. Through Yelp, I saw the good reviews for Dogwalker Etc and decided to give them a try for a trip I was taking to an outer island. I spoke to Erin on the phone, and we discussed different options for my dog. I decided it was best for my dog to stay at a home without other pets. We arranged for my dog to stay with Barb. First I had a "meet and greet" session with Barb to see how my dog would get along with her. Barb is such a sweetheart. She's very genuine, and truly cares about my dog. I knew my dog would be in great care. Barb sent me text updates periodically, which was fantastic. Since that first trip, my dog has stayed with Barb twice more (once for an extended trip - about 10 days), and she gets so excited when we arrive at Barb's place. Overall, my experience has been fantastic. I couldn't ask for more. Some may feel it's a little pricey - about $60/day for in home, private pet sitting, but to me it's absolutely worth it. I am a first-time pet owner, and finding a pet-sitter when I'm out of town has always been stressful. I booked Dogwalkers etc to watch my two cats, Kima and Bubbles, during the holiday season. My husband and I were out of town for 13 days and I'm not going to lie -- I was pretty stressed about leaving them for that long! This is the longest we'd have left Kima and Bubbles home alone. My fears were assuaged when I met Alexia, my sitter from Dogwalkers etc. She was prompt, responsible, warm, reassuring, and friendly. I had a good feeling off the bat; she responded to all of my calls and text messages quickly and never left a message unanswered. When I met her for the first consultation, I showed here where we kept everything in the house and walked through our feeding and cleaning routines. She met Kima and Bubbles and even got a chance to play with them. When it came time for us to go out-of-town, she picked up the keys from my apartment. While we were gone, Alexia sent pictures every single day to update me on how my cats were doing. I appreciate that they use an app to communicate with you. I knew that at around the same time each day, I would receive an alert on my phone and get to check on my babies. It was a huge relief, and I looked forward to seeing Alexia's messages each day. And, as if that wasn't enough to address the concerns of a ridiculous type-A pet owner, when we returned home, Alexia made sure house was tidy. She swept up the kitty litter in the bathroom, wiped down the counters, and made sure our cushions were re-positioned on the couch (when I'm sure the cats had knocked 'em around). I could not have asked for a better pet-sitting experience, and I am 100% certain that we will be employing the services of Dogwalker etc again in the future. We use dwe every time we go out of town. Specifically have had Sean stay and he has done a superb job. He goes above and beyond helping out w all the animals. Neighbors report seeing them frequently on their runs and animals always seem happy when we return and to see him on other visits. For several years I have hired Dogwalker etc to walk and stay with my dogs when I'm out of town. In those years I have seen Erin build her service up into a very nice set of services for pet owners. For example, I've gotten spoiled with the dogwalkers' notes & eagerly read about the events from bird chasing to elimination. We've had increasingly better quality, more knowledgeable walkers except for one recent walker who wasn't very focused on this job. Another that we had was so trustworthy I felt totally confident in her abilities to handle anything that might come up. The only downside is occasionally Erin and I have a different philosophy about our business dealings but we always resolve them to our satisfaction. On the other hand, I've seen Erin take a role in advocating for pets in various community events. It's great to see her animal dedication in action! The main thing is these dogwalkers and sitters are caring for my two dogs well and I feel comfortable with them. We were off-island for eight days. Dogwalker Etc. (Chelsea). Came in, took care of our cat, our fish, and one VERY sensitive plant. The emailed report and photos each day were a tremendous comfort! Our plant requires daily water in a specific amount; too much it turns brown, too little and it wilts, we came home to a healthy plant. Guppies in two aquariums were healthy and their water indicated they had been fed per our instructions. Our cat was happy to see us, and was obviously well cared for. Daily we received photos of our cat playing and being cared for, this relieved our anxiety and helped make our trip much less stressful. I am so glad I found this company!! My petsitter for years retired last year and that was the only sitter my two chiweenies had ever known!! I have tried several other places for my dog and had some dissappointments along the way before finding the perfect company that really cares, not only for the physical well being but for the emotional separation from their owner well being. They have several options for you to choose from. They really care about wanting to meet the needs of you and your pet. I can now go on trips knowing she is in good hands. Gerhild is my Sofie's dogsitter and she is so loving to my baby. Yes Sofie doesn't realize she is a dog. Gerhild knows Sofie is nervous in the beginning and she will comfort her and give her the love and attention to make her feel safe. She sends me pictures to show how much fun she is having with her dogs and gives me reports on how she is behaving. One of my request was if Sofie could sleep on the bed with whoever watches her and Gerhild allows Sofie to sleep on the bed with her. When I come to pick Sofie up, before she sees me I see her running around the yard, tail up and just so confident and so happy. She is able to run around in the Gerhild home and able to access the yard. Gerhild also takes her on walks with her dogs. I am so pleased with Gerhild, she really has a way with dogs and they sense her love and calmness. Dogwalker Etc is the best pet sitting service on the island! (can't comment on the actual dog walking part as I only have cats!) My fiance and I travel quite a bit so its no surprise that we eventually ran out of the "friend card" and had to get a professional to watch our precious babies. Dogwalker sets you up with a sitter based on location and animal type/the kinds of services needed. They are extremely good about responding to your e-mails and contacting the sitter/walker, usually all the logistics are set up within a couple of days. The very first visit your sitter comes over and meets the animals, you get to show them where everything is (food, litter, cleaning supplies, trash etc) and watch them interact with the animals which of course is quite an important part of the process. They will take down numerous notes to make sure they know anything and everything they need to take the best care of the animals possible while you are away. The sitter we always request is Shannon, I think it has been over a year that we have been using her services. She is a very sweet girl and my cats love her, as to them she is always the signal for food and play! She comes over every morning we are away, feeds the kitties, freshens up the litter and plays with them for about 15 minutes. She knows that I am an overprotective "mother" so she usually snaps a couple photos of the beasts and texts them to me which really brightens up my day! Shannon has animals of her own so I always know that my cats are in really good hands! She also leaves cute little notes each day, kind of like a "diary" of what the cats have been up to that I get to read once I return back home. Shannon is not just a sitter, she is so much more!! She also brings in the mail, feeds the fish (my fiance has a fish tank), and waters the plants!! Could not have asked for a more trustworthy and dependable individual to take care of things while we are gone! We left our high energy, somewhat unpredictable 1.75 year old puppy with Dave & Lois with fear and trepidation. All a waste of our time and energy! He LOVED them, and within 2 hours of dropping him off for 9 days, we received pictures and a narrative about how well he was adjusting! No kidding, these people REALLY get dogs, and we were so happy to receive 8-10 pictures daily, along with a "story" about everything he did that day. Normally when we leave on a trip we are fortunate enough to have friends house and dog sit. However on our most recent trip our friends were not available so we needed to find another option. We have three dogs that love being home and have never been boarded. We did look at boarding options but didn't like the idea of them being in a small space and not getting to spend time with each other (they are all best friends!). Also the cost to board three dogs is really high! We looked around for pet sitters and found Dogwalker Etc. The website was very informative and the reviews were good so we decided to set up an interview. We met with Sharol and could tell right away she loves animals. We have never had a stranger stay at our house before and expressed our concerns with the company owner Erin. She took the time to assure us that each employee (and the dog sitters are employees, not contractors), are fully vetted and have great references. We decided to give it a try and I am SO glad we did. We were gone for 7 days and Sharol was amazing with our dogs. When we came home the dogs were in good spirit and the house was even cleaner than we left it. We received texts about the daily activities. Never was I worried about the dogs (or house) well being. The whole experience was great. Dogwalker Etc. is professional from the beginning of the consultation process to the vetting and meeting of the dog/petsitter. They are licensed and insured which most businesses on Oahu do not provide. Their website is full of pictures, advice, and they keep us clients' information very private which is very important to me as I travelled alot and did not need the world to know where I was. Additionally, this company does not pass your information to 3rd parties so no spam mail here. They provide excellent services and are extremely proactive with their communication with me. If you are in the Ewa Beach area, I highly recommend Corena. She is smart, trustworthy and loving. I think she treats my puppies better than she does her own...just kidding Corena. She truly shows her loyalty, love and care to all animals. Corena made friends very quickly with my neighbors who all have dogs and I get repeated feedback from my neighbors that she seems to get along with all of the dogs (big and small) and we have some feisty ones in our neighborhood. Nevertheless, Corena has never missed a day and she works five days a week for our family for the last 7 months. I love the housesitting services. Corena left my house cleaner than I left it and so she immediately became apart of our family. I recommend this entire company to all military famiies and/or professional families who have that guilt of leaving their pet alone all day long like I did. Their prices are reasonable and Erin sends very prompt, easy to read monthly statements. I have never stopped thanking and sharing my appreciation to the company and to Corena and never will stop bragging about her.
