I genuinely don't understand how it takes 20-30 minutes to produce oatmeal, a premade parfait, or a bagel with cream cheese at 6:30 in the morning when the restaurant has barely opened and there's no rush. Yesterday I came down right at opening for a yogurt parfait. It took 20 minutes, and the employee immediately assumed my breakfast voucher was one of those "limited" ones before even reading it. Not the end of the world, but definitely set the tone. Later found out one of my coworkers waited 30 minutes... for oatmeal. Oatmeal. Today I gave it another shot. Ordered a toasted bagel with cream cheese and fruit. The bagel somehow managed to be both burnt and under-toasted at the same time, with what can only be described as a light whisper of cream cheese on one half. The fruit cup looked fine until I opened it and immediately got hit with the smell of rotten melon. Half my breakfast went straight into the trash. The vibe here is less "quick hotel breakfast" and more "clear your schedule and maybe lower your expectations." If you've got nowhere to be and want to slowly reflect on life while waiting for a bagel, this is your spot. Otherwise... maybe grab coffee and head elsewhere. read more

Service was fantastic!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. I ordered their Avocado Toast and I loved it!! They didn't skimp on avocado and it was filling. My husband ordered the Breakfast Burrito and he enjoyed it too. The burrito wasn't too small nor it wasn't too too big. It was nice and bright inside. Prices were decent I guess, depending what you order, it helps when hotel gave each guest $10 credit which helps, not sure if you have to be Diamond member or not. read more

I just had the best breakfast burrito in my entire life! The chef did an AMAZING job with this one. The potatoes were delicious as well. Everything was hot when it arrived at the table. First with the good stuff: the service was extremely fast and friendly and served with a smile. The coffee is good and strong, though it's hard to justify paying $5 for drip coffee when, as a hotel guest, I could go to the lobby and pour a cup of coffee for free. I ordered my eggs Benedict without bread, and they had no issues with this special request. The eggs were cooked perfectly (runny yolk, solid white). The only negative, which to me is a big one, was the hollandaise sauce. It wasn't hollandaise sauce at all. It tasted like a pepper gravy but looked like thousand island dressing. I am a die hard eggs Benedict lover and the hollandaise sauce is what makes the dish. I would have passed on ordering this had I known it wasn't true hollandaise. Overall I'd give this restaurant a second chance based on the service, speed, ambiance, and delicious coffee, but I wanted to share my experience so other "eggs Benedict connoisseurs" can know what they are ordering (since reviews are slim for this restaurant). read more

We are here a total of four times on our stay and, overall, everything was really great! Two dinners and two breakfasts, with one happy hour in the mix. We ordered the tequila chicken salad and fish tacos the first night and then the NY strip and Mexican bowl the second night. The first breakfast was an omelet and the biscuit sandwich and the second breakfast was 2 buffets. The food was great, and MOST of the service was awesome! read more

Stayed the night at the hotel here and decided to give this place a shot. The breakfast was OK but I don't think the price justified what I got! Granted I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is pretty standard and basic as far as breakfast meals go but I wasn't expecting to literally get something that looks like you'd make at home with basic kitchen items. The bread is what made me second guess my choice. It was your standard run of the mill wheat Wonder Bread. It tasted good but for my breakfast to come out to $20, I was definitely hoping for a bit more. I understand that restaurants connected to hotels generally are a little pricier than if it was a standalone but for those prices, at least present it on a plate that looks like it's a $20 plate. The breakfast potato's tasted great though. I will give them that. Server was extra nice and accommodating and the ambience was fun. Surf beach vibe. If ever staying here again, albeit convenient, just based of price, I'll probably go to the IHOP up the street. read more

We checked in at the hotel and decided to try the restaurant. It took 15 minutes for the waitress to acknowledge us and finally told us to pick any table we wanted. We waited 20 minutes and she never came to take our order. She only had two tables to help and the whole time she was talking to other employees by the bar. if I could give a 1 for management, but 5 for service, I would. I came in with my family who was visiting on Monday February 9th, 2023. We had heard that the food was really good here and were staying at the hotel so we decided to stop by for dinner. We got there at about 7 pm and didn't get out of there until 9:30 pm. There was only 4 adults and a toddler and we didn't actually end up getting anything we ordered until about 8:30. There was one large party at the restaurant that already had their food. It was clear that they were incredibly short staffed at the time and being stretched very thin. The woman who served us looked like she was trying to do ten jobs at once. We felt terrible for her. ESPECIALLY WHEN WE SAW A MAN IN A SUIT GET UP FROM THE TABLE WITH THE LARGER PARTY, GO BEHIND THE COUNTER, AND NOT DO A SINGLE THING TO HELP THESE POOR EMPLOYEES. this happened multiple times where we watched this man get up, go in the back, and go sit back down. It appeared As though he worked there and was in some type of management position. We then overheard that the server tried to put our order in, but management decided to put in a massive order for all of upper management AHEAD OF OUR ORDER. We had our 2 year old with us who didn't get to eat a single thing until almost 9 o'clock at night. Because management felt like it was more important to place a massive order that clear would've taken more than an hour to fulfill ahead of the only patrons in the restaurant(us) I'm not positive what that man's role was in the restaurant (although it was very clear he worked at the hotel/restaurant) but I've been in the hospitality business as a general manager of a food establishment for years. I can't even FATHOM the idea of watching my peers and employees struggle to the extent that we saw and not only do absolutely nothing to help, but make it worse by making sure MY party is taken care of while no one else is. Now I wish I could remember the name of the woman who helped us because she was AMAZING and we all felt so sorry for her. I know her name ended in an "i" (Dani maybe?). Anyway, she deserves a raise. She was phenomenal and incredibly apologetic. I hope that's not something she deals with at work regularly or that maybe we caught everyone on an off night and she doesn't actually have to deal with management who treats their employees and customers like that On a regular basis. The food was incredible too. It just sucked to spend nearly $200 on a burger, salad, tacos, and 3 alcoholic beverages to have an experience like that (THROUGH NO FAULT OF THE EMPLOYEES WORKING THE KITCHEN OR DINING AREA) read more

I echo the previous comment about the restaurant. I just had breakfast here as part of my stay at the Doubletree Hotel. The chefs do a great job and the atmosphere is a very nice beach theme. You have a view of the hotel's pool too. Back to the food, I can eat their fried potatoes all day every day. Their seasoning is perfect. My omelette was very good and its accompanying salsa was too. RACIST AND DISCRIMINATORY. There was an older gentleman with white hair who was short with brown skin. He said we could get food but not get drinks. I asked him why and he said "because I said so". We then sat with friends and he sent another waiter to tell us we were already asked to leave, however we were not asked to leave. I'm a dark skinned Indian women and he turned me and my boyfriend away saying he would call the park rangers on us. I calmly responded that I work in an ER and calmly mentioned we were sober and I was unsure why he was asking us to leave. He said "I make the rules" and gave us no reasons. We calmly left but I cried and get that it was extremely discriminatory. I truly hope he gets fired as all the customers around us were deeply upset at well. read more

service for breakfast on Sunday was lackluster to say the least. asked for some fresh salsa as they had none at the buffet. server Erin took a long time as we noticed she stopped and talked with other employees and then made a stop at the register before bringing us the salsa. there were only 3 other people at the time not like it was busy, by that time we were almost done with our eggs. the small cup of salsa was overflowing and there was splattered salsa on the dish she served...very unappealing. it was getting close to end of breakfast and the server and a bus person came over and almost took the plates out from under us....seemed hurried to get us to finish. read more

The service was very bad the server was rude and disrespectful. Don't get the Continental breakfast it comes with a yoplayt yogurt, a nature valley granola bar, and a tasteless apple.
