Note that it's a full bar with a nice wine selection. The food seem to be made from scratch. The French onion soup (I am French) was very good. The mashed potatoes was so fluffy, light and tasty. I loved my shishito peppers (especially since they weren't deep fried!) . Salad was perfectly seasoned and the brie/tomatoes appetizer very flavorful and nicely presented. I also like the fact that they use real cloth napkins. Recommended!

I go up to ask where our purses are at and they send me to a pole, where they had moved over 10 purses. I was lucky my friend had picked up my purse, we found my other friends purse at a table all by itself! To management - 1. Don't ever touch a woman's purse, the song was maybe 3 minutes long you could have waited. 2. If you are stupid enough to move a purse, be apologetic and help us find our purses. Or offer to replace our drinks you tossed. I should not have had to ask. What if my friend needed her EpiPen? 3. Everyone in your establishment is a customer, we were buying drinks and food. Don't treat us like peasants or cattle for you to move. Oh they did have a nice drink menu, but we will never go back!

This one absolutely surprised us in the best way. El Caminante Bar & Bungalows is right across the street from the beach and instantly stands out. The interior design is exquisite - thoughtful, warm, and stylish without feeling pretentious. Our room had half doors on both sides that open up so you can enjoy the ocean view and fresh air, which was such a unique and relaxing touch. There's also an in-room record player that even connects to your phone via Bluetooth (such a fun detail). The bed was extremely comfortable, the shower had piping hot water with great pressure, and the Le Labo shower products were a luxe bonus. The on-site bar and food were super convenient, the staff was genuinely kind, and the location is perfect, right in the heart of Dana Point and a short drive to San Clemente. We also loved lounging on the outdoor daybeds outside our room and hanging out on the patio with the chimineas at night. The rooms are on the smaller side (mainly because of the massive king bed), but it honestly didn't feel unbearably cramped. There's plenty of storage with space under the bed for luggage, drawers built into the bed frame, and wall-mounted hangers, which made everything work well. As for the cons: it is close to the train tracks, so it can get a bit noisy, but earplugs are provided and we personally slept just fine without them. There's no fan, so the room can get a little warm, we just kept the windows open. Unfortunately, during our stay the internet wasn't cooperating, so we couldn't screen-cast to the TV, which made it pretty useless, but that was a minor inconvenience overall. We also really loved that this is a small, family-owned property. We will 100% be back. This is officially our new favorite spot in Dana Point--full of charm, comfortably close to the ocean, and reasonably priced without sacrificing style or comfort.

It is tiny, it is dark, it is covered in knickknacks and tchotchkes, and it is perfect for what it is. Turk's receives three stars because drinks are basic and limited, bartenders are intentionally a little bit surly, and if you choose to eat here the food is just so-so. But if you're out and about in the harbor late at night or after some group excursions, it doesn't suck to stop at Turks.

A special thank you to Mr. Zdrakas, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. He was especially kind to my son and even jokingly offered him a job after he pitched in to help. While we were there under difficult circumstances, Proud Mary's made the experience as warm and enjoyable as possible. If you're looking for a beautiful waterfront venue for a private event, I highly recommend Proud Mary's. We look forward to visiting again under happier circumstances.

We were standing by the pick up window the whole time so I'm not sure why he didn't call her name when he was calling everybody elses'? Best part is that after we started to walk away, one of the employees came out and made an announcement that you can order drinks from the cart. Half the queue got out of line and moved over there... This should be on a sign somewhere so that you can get in the correct line and not wait forever to order.

I've been coming to The Point for more than 20 years, but I never realized what an amazing place it was to watch sports until the World Cup. The atmosphere is incredible. The sound system is fantastic, every TV is tuned to the same game with the live match audio, and no matter where you sit, you have a great view of multiple screens. It feels like you're inside the stadium, surrounded by fans who share the same passion for the beautiful game. I saw people from different backgrounds coming together, cheering, laughing, and enjoying the matches as one community. That's what sports are all about--unity and friendship.
