Such a positive experience at aPizza Doho. We were sat immediately on a Saturday Afternoon, our server was so friendly and conversational, the outdoor seating is comfortable and you get some ocean breeze. The pizza though wow, we were able to do half and half of 2 kinds (as long as they have the same sauce!) which is amazing since every option of flavor combinations is mouthwatering. The crust was perfect, the structure, the sauce and ingredients were all top tier. I've been thinking about it ever since!! We can't wait to return. As a south county pizza snob, take it from me, it doesn't get better-- we found a new spot for sure

We ordered the Philly's pizza and it took about 25 minutes to get to the table which was not too much of a surprise considering how busy the place was. Susie was our server and was very lovely throughout the evening! However, the quality overall of the pizza tasted okay at best. The slices were burned, so at most I can give a 3/5...Susie was very kind and offered to make us another pizza to-go, so that is definitely to note! But we were so hungry that we ate it anyway lol and we did not want to wait any longer. The presentation was also a 2/5 at most. Unfortunately, I would not stop by again.

    Small vampire pizza

Stopped in for dinner, we ordered a small vampire pizza and it was delicious! With big dollops of cheese on every slice. We opted for the small which was still very filling for two people! The crust, cheese and sauce were all fantastic and I would highly recommend this place! Good service too!

I wanted to order a pizza in Dana Point to watch the sunset nearby and found APizza Doho when I was searching on Yelp and so glad I did! We ordered The Bee Sting pizza and we loved it! I loved how they packed the Burrata separately for to-go orders. The flavor was amazing and we really enjoyed it and would get it again, although we want to try other pizzas. We also got the Zucchini Chips - such incredible flavors but the only bad thing is that when you get it in to to-go boxes, they become soft and not crunchy. I will say that I ordered around 4:30-5pm online and my order was not ready to pick up till 6:45 on a Friday! So just be aware! Overall, great flavor and would come back!

OMG what can be said that hasn't been said already. I love this place. Tonight was a takeout order which was perfectly prepared. We ordered the highway one pizza, garden party and the chop salad. I think it's the first time we've had the chop salad and it was phenomenal. Lots of ingredients lots of Parmesan cheese. Both pizzas also had plenty of toppings. Great crust. Very helpful service over the phone to place the order. And pick up was also very Easy. There is street parking but also a small lot behind the building. Outdoor seating as well. Just a cool vibe for South OC. Always come back and recommend.

    Southwest Swell with "1000 steps"

One of the best pizzas I've ever had. We are talking about driving up from San Diego just to have this pizza again. We had the southwest swell pizza and ordered it with "1000 steps." Amazing. The combination of spicy chilis, sweet pineapple and savory red onion was perfect. The crust was thin and well-done on the bottom. Portions were huge too, but we were so happy to have the leftovers. I also recommend the zucchini chips. They were the perfect snack with a glass of wine while we were waiting for our pizza. Super thin, salty and addictive. Service was lovely too!

Came here for a quick lunch before heading to the beach. We ordered 1 pizza and the crispy zucchini. Both items were good tasting and came out quickly. The service was also quick, friendly, and efficient! The restaurant itself is very fast-casual. Overall a pleasant experience with quality food!

I drove past this place about 4 times in a week until finally I said ok it's always busy so it must be good. We got really lucky that it was actually not too full. We got sat right away outside. Given that it was not too busy we did not anticipate to wait very long for the waitress to come and attend to us. She really took too long to take our order and drinks. Pizza was out of this world though. I would definitely and hopefully we have better service. I would skip the cesar salad.

    Great location

First of all, the prices and lines seem to coalesce. When there is a line, it is because of great value and that is the intersection of the ultimate dinner venue. I don't mind spending for a good dinner and I prefer to find a place like this where the food is amazing, the service is prompt and the value is beyond. At a time like this, when times are uncertain, you want to go to a place where you feel happy because the location is amazing, ambiance is great (acoustics were good) and the value is best! Diana was a pro! Come here and keep coming. Restaurants like this deserve to be great because they encompass what is great, great food, location and good memories.

    The "original" pizza

Very good pizza! We got the "original." Sauce was sweet, mozzarella was flavorful, and the crust was super thin and crispy. The service was great.

The pizza was really good but I just wish they had better veggie pizza options. The crust is fermented for 24 hours so it's much easier to digest and it was such a light and airy crust. Outdoor seating is nice but it was easy to get a table on a Sunday night despite them being super busy.

So good I did the original with jalapeño

We started off with an order of Zuccinihi chips because we always like to eat Zuccinihi fries. The chips were good, mostly fried rather than Zucchini. We ordered two pizzas. One thing to note, at least for dinner options, there are no different pizza sizes, they are all the same size. We ordered the HWY 1 and our waiter, recommended the Bee Sting, a waitstaff favorite. The HWY 1, was extremely tasty the caramelized onions pairing well with the pepperoni and sausage. The Bee Sting was the family favorite, the Burrata and hot honey stealing the show. The waitstaff was friendly with all of the waiters and waitresses thanking us for coming and wishing us a good night. Parking was a little hectic but that is out of Apizzas control. The overall restaurant was clean, and openly inviting. Would definitely make a return trip.

What are the gluten free options? Do they now carry gf crust?

I think they do but best to call and confirm

    Do they take reservations?

They do, but only with parties of 8 or more.

Do you offer gluten-free dough plus non-cross, contamination cooking?

I'd like to know the same thing. However I doubt it. Let's hope I am wrong.

    Is your restaurant dog-friendly?

Outside on our patio dogs are welcome always!

What style is the pizza? Thin? Thanks!

Gino, thank you for inquiring. Yes, I would say it is definitely on the thin side, with purposeful charring around the crust. New Haven style is our "North Star" which is their version of Neapolitan in Connecticut.

Is this New Haven style pizza?

Yes, it is in the style of New Haven, in that, it is thin and does have purposeful charring around crust.

Will you ever sell white clam pizza or a variation of?

We do have a white clam pie on the menu, its called "Littleneck".

Do you sell slices anytime?? I want to try so many!!

Hi Rich, unfortunately we do not sell slices, but at lunch we do an 11'' inch pie ( equivalent to two good size slices ) paired with a Caesar or Simple Salad, as our "Lunch Box" special.

Do they serve gluten-free pizza? Or gluten-free pasta?

No, currently we do not serve either.

How big are the pizzas? Individual size or 12" or ? Thanks.

Hi Travis, thank you for the inquiry. Our pizzas are 15 inches, eight slices.

What times and days are least busy? If I bring my family of 5 to eat in?

I would say lunch time or until 5. they usually get a big dinner crowd :)

Are dogs allowed on the patio?

Yes, dogs are allowed on the patio

    Do they sell dough?

    Yes we do!

    Is there a happy hour?

Currently, Apizza Doho does not have a Happy Hour.

Next time, we might ask to sit outside so our young boys can watch the cars drive by. We learned that the kitchen is nut free (always double check as this could change), which was amazing since our son has a severe nut allergy. He was so excited to learn this as he can be limited at other places due to cross contamination or the wrong oils. Then when the food came out and it was delicious - it sealed the deal. It is now in the top of our list of places to go. The kids cheeseburger is good size and not a smaller version as some places do. The chicken tenders were panko crusted which was so crunchy. My husband and I shared the smoked carrot and chicken tacos and we enjoyed them both. The beer was also very good with my husband and I each trying a different kind - an IPA and a Pale Ale. We are so glad we finally stopped in and so should you!
