On 4/5/16 I finally bought my first brand new car. Couldn't be any happier with this dealership. After struggling for a month to get everything situated, I finally worked out. Can't give a zero, but a 1-Star should help bring the 3-Star rating down. Have visited this dealership at least 5 times. Each time we get close to a deal, I get the "will you buy TODAY" line. When I say that if I'm going to pay $$$ for a vehicle " I need to think a bit" I get a sour look as if to say "why don't you like what WE are offering you". On my last visit I thought I would present my cash down and what I wanted for my trade-in offer right up front so as to save time in the negotiations. When the salesperson came back with the contract sheet, those parameters were completely ignored. I told the person "thank you, where are my keys to my trade-in?" As I waited outside some sales manager came out to me to ask what the problem was. I told the person talk to the salesperson. Apparently, the salesperson did not communicate our conversation to the sales manager and I told the sales manager "talk to the salesperson". Not if you want to pay cash for your car! Dolan Toyota's finance department insisted I had to fill out a loan application, even though I said I was paying cash. They refused to allow me to buy the car, for cash, without filling out the application. They finally told me that they would not process my loan application, promised it would stay unprocessed and be destroyed at the end of the purchase cycle, that same day. They lied! A "Hard Inquiry" from them is still on my credit rating, almost 3 years later. To make things worse, they then placed a "Hard Inquiry" on my husband's credit rating even though he was not there, his name was no where on any document, and I, alone, was buying this car. For cash. Originally, we went to Dolan Toyota Scion November, 2015, where, unfortunately, we were unable to make the trade-in and we said we would be back when the timing was better because of the Dolan experience with Ronnie Ragusa. We went back yesterday to work again with Ronnie Ragusa. He spent time with us to make our trade-in happen. We wanted a more expensive model with more bells and whistles, but Ronnie showed us we could get a great deal on the one model 2016 RAV4 SE that had been driven 300 miles. It has everything we need and most of what we want for a price we could work with to make this deal happen. We then met with Danny Frank to go over the paperwork and provided signatures. He was very professional and never pressured us to buy add-ons like most dealership finance employees do. He explained that it may take time to make the deal happen and for us to go home and wait for a call and that it could take up to 24 hours. Two hours later, Danny called to say the deal went through and to our surprise, at a lower interest rate and with a monthly payment $100 less than expected! Our next step was to meet with Kayelee Taylor to go over the car inside and out and the workings of the vehicle electronics. Kayelee was so pleasant, explained everything in an easy to follow manner, at the right pace for us seniors. He was so good at this we were shocked to learn that he had only been doing this job for two days! We are very happy with our Dolan experience and that your TV advertisement is so very true on how you provide service like we are family. It was such a pleasure to work with Ronnie and Danny on our trade-in---we were never made to feel embarrassed at our financial issues, they educated us on the vehicle and financial options available and how one thing or another would benefit us. The cost of ownership has worked out to roughly $3.00 per mile I've put on it- which is absurd. The "certified pre-owned" vehicle feels like a scam. I would advise everyone to reconsider if thinking about buying a used Toyota under the pre-owned program. I bought my 2018 Tacoma in October of 2019 with ~18,000 miles on it at the time. I have since driven it roughly 2,000 miles and the AC stopped working. I took it into the dealership and they told me it would be $6,000 to fix. They also informed me I am 19 days outside warranty. My wife is about to go on maternity leave and this is not an expense we were planning for. The service rep told me to file a case with Toyota to see if they would help me out since it was just outside the expiration date. Toyota told me to wait two days for a response. 5 days later I called for an update and got no response. Now we are 10 days out, my wife is pregnant and due any day now (hence our urgency to get this resolved), after waiting 1.5 hours on the phone for the reps to "research" the case I was told they are unwilling to extend the warranty, cover part of the cost of the repairs or do absolutely anything to help in the situation. This was my first and last experience with Toyota and will advise any and all friends, family, coworkers and strangers alike of the absolute garbage experience we've had. read more

This is my first brand new car ever. The service was great, Roselle and Brandon did a great job no pressure felt which was appreciated!! Also Tyler Larson was awesome and very knowledgeable with the gadgets and Safety of my car. Michael was also helpful when I needed to get some papers. The only discrepancy I have is the car has some paint chips in the front from gravel and what not. So our deal was if they painted it then we'd but it. They gave us a due bill, unfortunately for me I didn't read that it was touch up paint only.. which kind of looks like someone just gave it a nail polish makeover :/ and not all of it could be touched up since it was too deep. I was under the impression that it was going to get repainted on the hood and grill. Other then that service was a good experience. read more

So we were charged for a battery charge, and then couldn't get a receipt (without taking to the boss) and got the runaround for three days from The warranty company and Dolan Toyota. I don't recommend their extended service agreement, because if we had broken down away from home we would have been in a tough situation. The warranty company told us the truth of the problem...condescension from Dolan. After having my 1996 Geo Metro finally die on me, I knew it was time to buy a new car. Never having done this before and not being prepared at all, I began researching and gathering a list of cars in the price range that I could afford. I have always wanted a Prius but they were a bit too expensive for my current wage so I was looking at other cheaper options. I had a list of about 5 cars, including a 2017 Prius C in a tangerine orange I was not thrilled about. We went and looked at a few different lots, not liking the predatory salesman that would approach us wanting to start the financing paper work when we were simply looking at options. Toyota was the last stop of the day, knowing that I couldn't afford a brand new Prius, we went over to look at other cars and the price range. We had Mickey come and greet us, we told him we were looking at options, trying to narrow down my choice and that I would be back the following day to test drive anything I may like. He was very easy going, instantly understood and did not push anything on me that day. He told me about the Two-year service that they do for all new vehicle purchases and answered all of my questions. He went out of his way to see if they had any other Prius' new and used that weren't listed on their website, he showed us and explained the perks and differences of the vehicles I was looking at, gave me his honest opinion on what it was that people used in their upgrades and what they didn't, making it easier for me to narrow my options. We came back the next day and Mickey was already waiting for us, he had the two cars I was interested in pulled up to the front for easy access and greeted my father warmly. He asked me if I had done any additional research and if I had any other questions. We test drove a 2017 Prius C and a 2018 Corolla, the entire time he offered me information on the vehicles I was driving, compared the two and asked me how I was liking them. The best thing about Mickey was how patient he was with me. I couldn't make up my mind on what vehicle I wanted and he went above and beyond to help me make a choice without pressuring me. He took the time to break down the numbers for every possible option and did a monthly rate comparison for me so I could see what it was going to cost me. He explained all the upgrades and extra insurance that they offered and hypothetical scenarios in which they would be beneficial. He was absolutely amazing and made this whole process so much less stressful. Of all the dealerships I had gone to, this was the best one. I felt so welcomed and taken care and at no point did I feel pressured to make a purchase or make an excuse to leave. Reno Toyota is part of the Dolan Automotive Group. I have previously purchased 2 vehicles from Lexus of Reno, also of the Dolan Automotive Group. I expected the experience to be somewhat less than that received at Lexus, but I was pleasantly surprised. It appears that there is a culture within the organization, that believes every Dolan buying experience should be good, whether purchasing a high end luxury car or a basic Toyota. We were interested in a Prius for the wife's commute back and forth to work. Our stop in the dealership was only to learn more about the car and test drive it. We were pleasantly greated by Nick Khamis. Nick never made us feel pressured, even though he knew we weren't there to purchase. We left the dealership, went to lunch and on a whim, stopped by another dealer on the way home. I won't mention the other dealer, but they're one of the other big names on Kietzke. They could learn something from Reno Toyota for sure. The wife was really set on going home that day with a new car, so we stopped by Reno Toyota again and asked for Nick. He was still there and came to help us. The whole experience was pleasant, non pressuring and we were treated as if we were buying something much more expensive than a Prius. Since our first interaction with Dolan back in 2014 , when we bought our FJ, I hadn't always quite got the catch phrase but was pleasantly surprised with their service aspect. It is by no means a family environment but the service department was always a good experience. Like any car dealership buying experience, it is never perfect, but our salesman Drew was awesome. Friendly and efficient and has kept in contact with us over the years we deciding on new vehicle options. Because of the actual purchase, the addendum and the shady practice of laminating a new MSRP we did not purchase our 2017 from Dolan but we did continue to go there for service. We took the drive to Carson City for our purchase. The real jewel of the dealership is the service department and customer service. Well it used to be. From the first "new owner" dinner, to parts purchase to all regularly scheduled maintenance appointments; I have also been happy with the process from start to finish. Never a hiccup or anything that wasn't quickly resolved and with a smile. Today not only was the ball dropped, it was kicked, deflated and dragged behind my vehicle as I pulled out of the service bay. I must say that my first impression, I thought maybe my own crankiness from the drive may have been influencing my opinion. I had been stuck in considerable traffic from Tahoe down to my appointment. When I called, the operators were super friendly, never even asked for my name and told me that any appointment had a grace period and just come on in. Usually as you pull into the service drive someone, or several people will wave you in. I came in and about 5-6 people in blue shirts to the right of me were talking. A girl came over to check me in, she said hello. Very dry and non-super friendly, but she was somewhat efficient. Went over the vehicle, checked for damage, got the miles. It seemed much longer than it usually takes, but I got the impression she was new. She asked me for my name and how to spell it. She asked me to initial by the vehicle inspection, now granted I did not pay attention to it- and that will come up again. I thought I was signing the vehicle inspection. NO OTHER QUESTIONS were asked. She then took me over to the side of the service bay that is marked Allstate, but apparently, that is where we go now. When she opened the door, there were several different desks with I'd say about 3-4 twenty somethings. One was one her phone which she promptly put down. The first girl asked Ashley is she was available. So, then I went to Ashley's desk. "Has this vehicle ever been here before?" First question awesome, not hi, not how are you. I answered "yes", when what I wanted to say "yes actually I bought it here and it has been here many times". There were several uncomfortable moments why I sat at stared at Ashley. No small talk, no questions. She told me that they closed at 6 and to be back by then to get my vehicle. My reply "well the only way I am leaving is with your shuttle driver so let's see if he gets me back". She then said your prepaid maintenance is covered. I told her I just wanted the scheduled maintenance, nothing else. I then asked if she would call the shuttle driver, as the last girl said she would. "Actually, there is a list you sign". She got up, and I followed her to the lobby. No instructions, just implied by her getting up. I then met the shuttle driver. He said it would be no problem to take me where I needed to go. He took me to Sears, waited for me and was conversational. He was really the only customer service I encountered. He was pleasant and nice. When I got back I sat till right before closing. I had attempted twice to go to the parts counter for a drink and no one ever even asked if I needed help, I settled for the vending machine. I noticed at about 10 till the activity increased. Ike everyone was rushing to finish up. Ashley came out to give me my paperwork. She said "your vehicle is done, we didn't wash it like requested". To which I replied, "I didn't request that, in fact no one even asked me". Then she said "do you have aftermarket parts, because we don't do that anymore. Really, because our grill has been on the last two times you did service and never a mention of it. In addition, it is now your policy that because we choose to install something ourselves your dealership doesn't offer a basic wash? That question is geared toward your service manager, it was not something I asked. I just told her whatever. She then said "we went ahead of took of your oil change". This irritates me beyond words, I specifically said I just wanted the maintenance and no oil change. I drive a lot of miles and I prefer to keep it scheduled as needed. They sell good cars, that's nothing special for them though because you get that anywhere selling new Toyotas. The customer service is really bad though, hence the one star review. The first sales person we had was so rude we left and came back later to see Beth, I don't remember his name I think it was Luis. We are there to buy a new car and all he can talk about is himself. He shows us a car and then I guess he didn't think we would buy one because he just walks off in the middle of me talking to go back to the group of sales people standing in the front. He didn't even ask if we were done he just turned around and acted like he wasn't just helping us. Beth was nicer at first but still offered terrible service because she was just too busy to help her customer. We bought a car from her and spent maybe 5 minutes total with her. The entire process was handled by her assistant. Halfway through the sale I look up and Beth's office is dark and she's gone. She just left for the day in the middle of our sale which to me is very rude and disrespectful. If I'm buying a brand new expensive vehicle I expect the sales person to put in a little time and effort and not just leave for the day in the middle of everything. Also, not a huge thing but the vending machine was not working and I asked 4 different people for help and not a single person would help. I'm buying a brand new car and they can't even be bothered to get a bottle of water for me? The employees here all seem to be too self centered to even care about their customers. Overall I am happy with the car but I would recommend going to another Toyota dealer. From what I saw during the 4 hours I was there they do not care about the customer at all only themselves. They managed to find the key and called me back, allowing me to test drive it first because i'd waited for a couple of hours without driving anything. The buying process was painless, Sara made the buying process easy and comfortable. I'm a first time buyer and aside from a few tips from my family and friends, was buying alone. Bought an extended warranty on the wife's car back in 2008. The Reno Toyota (Dolan Auto Group) salesman that talked us into getting it told us that if we don't use it, we would get a complete refund. Well, now that it's time for the refund, we found out the company that sold us the damn thing (Signet Financial Group) went belly-up in 2011. Talked to Reno Toyota about it today. Even though they were just an agent in the deal, and have absolutely NO legal obligation to pay back the money, they gave us a credit for the full amount, to be used towards the purchase of a car, in their service department for tires, repairs, etc. They didn't have to do this, but they did..... they made this right. The biggest mistake I had was getting a brand new truck here! The sale manager think he own the place. Very rude and unprofessional. There's issues that they couldn't fix, they find away to get rid of you and push you away. The service department are awful, you already have an appointment but you still have to wait. I have no choice but to get service here. Because I got the extended warranty or service. They work on your vehicle but cannot clean up their mess! Employees probably underpaid, don't even greet the customer politely. The service advisor don't even have time to talk to you after the service. And some of them are just setting around and walking around. Don't even bother to ask you if you been help already. I know there is a camera around that building. They should watch those employees! Hope I have a chance to talk to one of the Dolan's. So I can address all the issues that I have since I bought my vehicle here. read more

We went to their website where the vehicle prices are clearly posted, we emailed and set up a test drive. They immediately responded and we set it up for the following day. Salesman called me while I was driving to pick up and do the paperwork , sorry we ordered the wrong Tundra. What a huge waste of my time.
