We were able to try this food truck today because they were at the Hat Creek Wine Shop for the…read moreevening. We are fans of food trucks in general because of the unique experience they provide, the random foods you can try and we like to support the little guys! My wife and I both ordered the pulled pork sandwich and she also had the macaroni salad. The pulled pork was just okay, nothing amazing. It was bland and they don't offer and extras like slaw. There was nothing that made it stand out. There was a lot of pork on the sandwich though which was good. My wife really loved the macaroni salad, it was flavorful and yummy! We did not try anything else but the other couple we were with said they tried the pork nachos before we got there but didn't like them. They said they felt it was made with canned cheese sauce and did not have much pork. Our food was ready within a few minutes of ordering which is good fast service. We don't know where they are from but it appears they serve South Central PA and the Carlisle, Shippensburg area.

I would certainly order this again!.. I stopped back later to tell them how much I liked it... and noticed that they were SOLD OUT!.. Bam!

REDD'S SAMPLER REVIEW (Includes two sides and cornbread)…read more Here's what I ordered and my honest ratings: Sweet Tea - 7/10 Good, but not quite that true Southern sweet tea flavor. Collard Greens - 7/10 A little more tangy than I prefer, but still decent. 1/4 Rack of Ribs - 8/10 Great flavor, just not falling off the bone like I personally like. Beef Brisket - 8/10 A different cut than I'm used to, but still flavorful. French Fries - 10/10 Crispy, hot, and easily the standout. Cornbread - 7/10 Didn't try it this time, but from a previous visit it leans a bit dry. Parking: Street parking available. It wasn't hard to find--we only had to walk about a block. Accessibility: There are steps to get to the second level (about two steps), so something to keep in mind. Amenities: There is a bathroom that's spacious and clean, with a changing table and wipes, which is a big plus. Atmosphere and Service: The staff was incredibly engaging and worked really well together. Depending on when you go, they may also have a small market set up. Overall, this was a top-tier experience, especially when it came to the service and overall environment.

The place smells amazing....just like a great Kansas City BBQ place would smell. I decided to go with the two meat plater with two sides. I picked smoked chicken breast and wings with Mac and cheese and baked beans. Chicken breast: you could taste the smoke with a good flavor but it was cut very thick and was pretty dry. It ripped apart as I was cutting it. 6/10 would not order again. Wings: PHENOMENAL! They were massive and very flavorful. 10/10 would order again. Macaroni and Cheese: Great side would pick again after trying all of the others. Baked Beans: would use as a staple side and order every time I went to this restaurant for food. Staff: They were amazingly welcoming, friendly , and helpful. Honestly I wish I would have ordered in the restaurant and ate there. The service would have been awesome based off of my limited interaction.

Wow me with the yum! In my opinion, When you have smaller overhead costs of not having brick and mortar location, I want more food for the money. 3 small-medium size meatballs on the sub roll was what I got. How hard to either have 3 BIG meatballs that thrill me or put 4 on there. I'm not asking for enough food to save for leftovers the next day, but I should feel full at the end of my meal.

My wife ordered the meatball sub and I ordered the chicken parmigiana. Both sandwiches cost 9 dollars and I treated myself with a $3 oatmeal raisin cookie. Both sandwiches and the cookie tasted yummy but that's where the positive ends. Both sandwiches could have been made for a dollar. Really disappointed with the amount of food we got. What is it with Pennsylvania food trucks? If your going to charge as much as a sit down restaurant, then supply the customer with enough food please! As soon as the lady handed me my bag of food I kinda new I was short changed. My advice is double the amount of food and impress me so that I would want to come back or tell others about a great food truck experience instead of disappointed, hungry and somewhat cheated.

On a recent road trip, from Salisbury to Mocksville, Statesville, Mooresville, then back to…read moreSalisbury, we stopped at a remodeled garage/store when we saw a band playing in the front of the now bar/store. There were covered tables outside, for seating, and a food truck was set up next to the entertainment. We were looking for a local place to get a quick, late lunch. We really enjoyed the setting, on the old Main Street of Mocksville, NC. We looked over the menu for the food truck and decided to give it a try. We ordered the BBQ chicken, BBQ spare rib sandwich, and potato salad along with the macaroni and cheese, for our 2 sides. Because of an arrangement with the bar/store, we weren't able to purchase our drinks from them, but they did have a variety of sodas, water, and alcoholic drinks. Everything was delicious. I am not a big fan of red tomato BBQ sauce but the sauce was sweet, thick and tasty. The meat slid off the bones, and was very tender. We loved the potato salad, too. I guessed most of the ingredients, but there was something else in the salad that boosted the flavor! When asked what else she put in the salad, Kay responded, "the special ingredient is "LOVE." Eric and Kay, the owners, were great. They were friendly, answered all our questions about the food, and where they can be found in the area. Their phone number is included so you can find out where they are usually set up. With the increased prices for anything connected with food, it was a little high, but in line with all the other food trucks in our Piedmont, NC area. We recommend this mobile restaurant for anyone who loves BBQ and eating outside, on-the-go, or to take home! Thank you to Eric and Kay for adding to the enjoyment of our day out.

NIGHTMARE: What started as a promising partnership ended in outright disappointment. We found…read moreLittle's Catering (Chef Mark Little) through our venue's vendor list. In doing our research it was clear that Little's had very favorable reviews. We chose Mark after speaking with him. He came to our home and cooked a meal for us and our parents. Mark took notes while offering recommendations. Afterwards he said he would come back to our home for an additional tasting with the changes we made to the menu. Again, Mark cooked a great meal for my wife and I and discussed some other additions, such as the fact that now Mark would also be offering bartender services for our wedding. Things were going well to that point. A month before our wedding we started noticing change. Mark was less responsive and more stressed. For example, Mark posted a cryptic video on his social media page. He was teary-eyed, explaining that at the end of the year he would cease operations with the catering business to focus on his food truck operations. My wife reached out asking if things were OK. He claimed they were. Fast forward to 10/10, the day before our wedding, and Mark explained he would be onsite to setup around 2:30p. By 4pm Mark was a no-show. All we had was a text stating "Be there in 20 min." On the morning of 10/11, I received a text from my fiance at about 10am stating Mark would be at the venue soon. Concerning because dinner was to start at 6pm. Mark did not show until 12:30p. He was clearly flustered and stressed. Immediately things unraveled. Our his/hers drinks at cocktail hour weren't being mixed or garnished. He didn't bring coolers and ice as he said he would for beverages. By dinner it was a total $hit-show. The dinner was unprepared. It took 2 hours to get 100 people of 130 served. 3 tables (30 people) went without food! We were mortified. We asked for 5 vegetarian meals weeks prior, and about 45 min into the dinner I took notice those guests did not have dinners. It was clear he forgot. Our venue notified us the next day they knew we would be having issues because shortly before the dinner they received a frantic email from Mark asking to rent their flatware. Sadly, Mark was to provide a set of flatware that we thought would've matched our wedding nicely, so we had to settle for something different. As time went on, several of our wedding party and family confronted Mark in the kitchen. He was not able to hold himself together, they report. Mark left the venue and his poor employees, some of whom were in tears, to fend for themselves. Mark was to serve chicken picatta. He served a piece of chicken with melted cheese. He provided charcuterie that did not contain meat, and for some reason, his staff came and took the cheese cubes off the trays and back to the kitchen. Were we served that melted over our chicken? He used a carton of half/half creamer that belonged personally to someone in our wedding party and used personal Tupperware of ours to transport the food. Not sanitary at all. The food was bland and not what he made during our tastings. All in all, this review is long because of the comedy of errors associated with Mark's total failure to meet his contractual obligations at the bare minimum. My wife and I are deeply disappointed in Little's and Mark. He failed us and his staff miserably. Do NOT use this caterer OR his food truck services (Little Chateau Food Truck). I spoke to Mark, and he acknowledged his failure while apologizing in tears. Thankfully, my wife and I were able to secure a refund by disputing the charges with our credit card company. I hope others who have been victimized by Mark are able to do the same. Lastly, our venue removed Little's from their list of vendors and stated he is not welcomed back to their facility. Avoid Little's Catering, or like us, prepare to be ordering 20 pizzas for your guests, and having to relive the terrible experience over and over as your guests ask you about "that horrible caterer" and "did you get your money back" for weeks after.
