View from third floor across the street to the hard rock casino and resort.
    Maria L.

I want to be as clear as possible about the pros and cons of staying here. First, this hotel is a brand new property and is the closest hotel to the Hard Rock Casino which is right next door. The hard rock hotel is VERY expensive so we chose to try this hotel instead. Dolce advertises as a kosher hotel and they cater to the Jewish community who observe the sabbath as well, but by no means does this mean visitors of other religious backgrounds should choose not to come. I'm not Jewish and this was of no concern to me, in fact I appreciate that the hotel is willing to accommodate the differences in religions and welcome everyone. The hotel is built on a very small lot and only has valet parking which is in addition to your hotel costs. Do not park your car around the area (near McDonald or the surrounding businesses) as we saw more than one car get a boot within a few hours of parking illegally. Because of the space constraints our third floor room overlooked into local neighbors back yards and half of the window was frosted to compensate for the view the neighbors might get if hotel windows were opened at the wrong time, and while this frosting is thoughtful the backside of the hotel therefore has no real view. The front side does look right at the guitar and it is a pretty cool view, especially at night. The hotel has no real breakfast but they do have a cafe that serves coffees/teas and pastries for a fee. There is a free shuttle that runs guests to /from the casino twice hourly and it was a three min ride back and forth! So simple and convenient. The room itself was well appointed and felt fresh. It came with all the necessary toiletries: soap, lotion, body wash, shampoo/conditioner, make up remover. There was also a self serve keurig as well as some kind of-cups and tea, plus a few bottles of water were complimentary. Our only complaint was the noise. The G7 restaurant/bar on the top floor was noisy pretty late and it felt like the walls and doors were very thin. More than once it felt like the noise outside the room could have been inside with us. I'm not sure what the hotel could do about the noise, but since they are very new they may need to work that out a little. I know I'm the very first review so it will be interesting to hear/see other perspectives.

My wife and I came down to the lobby at 6:50am and saw the breakfast bar was set up and there were plates on the counter next to the omelette station. There was no one around so we each grabbed a plate and a bagel. 5 minutes later, we asked where the cups were for coffee and were told breakfast wasn't for until 7:00am (5 minutes later) so we sat back down at our table. My wife walked over to get another cream cheese for her bagel and a man behind the desk (Andriy) loudly scolded my wife in front of everyone that she needs to wait 5 more minutes to breakfast to start, as if she were an out of control toddler in time-out. Absolutely disrespectful, unprofessional and completely uncalled for. He humiliated my wife to the point of bringing tears to her eyes. Needless to say, it caused her to lose her appetite and she asked if we could go home. I approached the desk to get this gentleman's name and a very sweet young lady named Keiry politely apologized for the way my wife was treated. If your guests "aren't allowed" to eat until 7:00 am, stop putting everything out at 6:55 unless there is someone standing there informing guests the food isn't ready. I'll also add the room seemed clean but the A/C did not work. The unit turned on but it never cooled down. When we checked in, the A/C was set on 75 so we turned it down to 65 because the room was warm and stale. We slept uncomfortably all night because of the humidity in the room and when we woke up, the temperature had gone up to 77 (still set on 68). We will not be returning and cannot in good conscience recommend this hotel.

Unclean rooms. Extremely loud late night music. And zero answer from the front desk after calling 4 times over an hour period.

House keeping was very timely and kept our room tidy for days. Dinning on the resort expensive especially with kids! There were some charges we were not aware of that needed attention. I feel like fine print is not on your bill or never mentioned. We had to dispute some things that took forever to correct!. Maybe return but in no rush.

There were some major hits and misses with this hotel though. Here's what I loved: -The amenities: they have free airport shuttle, WiFi, a swimming pool, laundry room, full size refrigerators. -The bar- it's always nice being able to grab a drink in your hotel! The bartender was chatty. He made good drinks and provided great conversations! -The room layout: spacious and accommodating! Perfect for families or people traveling for extended stays! While there is no stove or oven you can get a lot dine with the convection microwave that they have. -Free Breakfast- complimentary breakfast includes a breakfast buffet that has fruit, yogurt, eggs, toast/bagels, and a protein. (The protein is usually a pork option, flagging for those with dietary restrictions!) Here's what needed to be better: -our bedding had yellow stains on them. We took them down to the lobby and when we exchanged them the next two sets we were given also had yellow stains! This is a problem that management needs to look into. No guest should sleep on yellow sheets! -The pool was pretty dirty. There were cigarette buts and other debris floating in the pool. It's peak travel season. The hotel should do a better job keeping the pool clean. -ice: there is no ice machines on site. Your fridge has an ice maker in the freezer. Overall for the convenience and price this hotel could be a good option once the hotel irons out the cleanliness issues that I outlined above.

The hotel is well staffed with someone always available to greet you and take care of any questions. We arrived before check in and they were already able to get us into a room which was such a win after an early morning flight down. The rooms are amazing with a separate sitting area and bedroom area. The wall between has a swivel tv stand, so you can spin it a full 180 around to watch in bed. The bathroom has a huge shower with easy entry and a bench in the back. We didn't use much of the kitchenette, but a full fridge, countertop stove, dishwasher, and microwave would make this a great place to stay! The breakfast is included with lots of hot foods and plenty of pastries and fruit. Unfortunately for our stay, they were having maintenance issues with the close elevator broken down and a horrid smell coming from the hallway in between. The biggest perk though is the proximity to Dania Point. We walked over a few times to enjoy the local restaurants and shopping!

The airport was hectic, so we kept an eye out for the SpringHill Suites shuttle van and sign and found it easily. Check-in was fast and smooth. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and even provided us with a welcome bag and water thanks to our Marriott status. I also asked for a recommendation for local Caribbean food and she absolutely nailed it! We stayed in a one-bedroom suite with two beds. The room was spacious with a comfortable couch, kitchenette, and desk area. It's a little dated, but honestly totally acceptable for a beach town. The beds were comfy, pillows were plush, and the AC was on point. The bathroom mirror was also fantastic for doing makeup. The hot breakfast in the morning was just what we needed before heading out, and when we realized we forgot a toothbrush they kindly provided one right away. Overall, we'd definitely stay here again because of the friendly staff, great lobby vibe, spacious rooms, and overall convenience. The only downside was the pool closing at 8pm. It would have been nice to at least sit and relax back there later in the evening.
