Today I got a haircut and root color from Kimberly Meadows. My experience was so positive, I wanted to write a review. Kimberly is a very good communicator and listened carefully to what I was wanting to have done. Took the time to analyze my hair and confirm that what I wanted would work. She clearly knew what she was doing. She was quick, efficient and she made me feel confident that we were in this together. As a result, I love my look, and I am a very happy customer.

I went in and had the pleasure to styled by Kimberly. She definitely saved my hair! Had a bad haircut done at a different salon the day before and she was able to fix all the mistakes while keeping as much length as possible. Diana and her teaching partner (i do not know her name) they were working collaboratively on how to cut my hair which i called "covid hair" because i haven't had it professionally done since 2019 (i cut my own hair, it was not too bad... just dry). They took extra care on how to approach it and style. My hair has that strange complex combination of fine thin and curly coarse. Alaura and Angela were amazing! I started off with a facial and the head massage add on, which is totally worth it btw and the aromatherapy and music she integrated made the whole experience so amazing and magical. Then i got my hair cut and styled by Alaura who went above and beyond making sure I was comfortable the whole time and providing commentary on what she was doing the whole time she worked. Pedro is so amazing I have been driving 3 hours round trip for 4 years to get my hair colored by him and only him! I have a lot of hair color + bleach trauma, and Pedro has cured me with his mastery of blonde balayage! After only a couple appointments, he knew exactly what I wanted and ever since, I just walk in, sit down, and let him do his magic. He is also such a geunine and comfortable person to be around. He is so knowledgeable about hair and is always patient with my incessant questions. He's been doing my color and extensions for a while, and today when I was ready to go short for the summer he was game and totally nailed it. I had the best experience at Dolce Salon. My hair was too brassy and I needed a more natural blonde blended with my brown and white hair and Kimberly did a great job toning and highlighting my hair. Best haircut in a long time! Cris is an absolute wizard when it comes to hair color, as well! I've tried a few places in Austin, but until walking into Dolce Salon, I've never found a hairdresser whom I wanted to cut my hair a second time! Cris reshaped my hair with a fantastic new cut that hides my grays as they grow out. The place is a bit on the pricey side, but I suppose that is indicative of a five star salon. It's been over six weeks since my cut, and my hair still looks great! Gray roots are back, but not nearly as blatantly obvious as before. The highlights she gave me hides them well, as does the haircut. Super happy! read more

Established in 2007.

Dolce is full-service salon operating in a beautifully designed 2500 square foot facility in the heart of Westlake. We started 18 years ago as a small boutique salon in a great neighborhood off of Lake Austin Blvd. From there, we built our current location, which offers Hair Cuts, Styling, Color, Treatments, Perms, Extensions, Hairskeen, Makeup, Wedding Hair & Makeup, Waxing, Facials, and Fashion. Our location is in the Westwood Shopping Center with easy and ample parking. Keeping Austin Beautiful!

Meet the Business Owner: Cris C.

My education began when I was very young working in my mother's salon. I attended Baldwin Beauty School Hair Academy in New York, trained by Vivianne McKinder, and worked with the some of best stylists at Saks Fifth Avenue. My dream was to open a full-service salon where we could offer our clients complete inner and outer transformational experiences, including hair, skin, and nail care, while giving back to the community. My passion is to give each of my clients head turning and amazing hair. I enjoy listening to and helping anyway I can for my client to achieve the look they desire. I am certified Wella, Great Length Extensions, Hot Heads Extensions and also offer the latest Brazilian Keratin Smoothing Treatment. We have several exceptional and experienced hair stylists. Dolce is an environmentally, eco-savy full-service salon with a love for our community.

I felt like it's not a place to relax before or after, it's truly "get in and get out." As I left, I saw a much larger, prettier waiting room, so I'm not sure how they determine who waits where. All in all, for the price, I won't be going back. No negatives about the esthetician as she did a good job.

For the pros, I did the Emerald Bliss ritual and my only complaint is wish there was an option to make it longer. It's hours later and I still feel very relaxed. I also liked that when checking in you can indicate if you want to talk or not during the session and I appreciated that there was a variety of spa options (wet sauna, dry sauna, whirlpool, etc). The less than ideal part of the experience is that it's a bit small. The cold plunge is a single person tub. The area around the whirlpool could use more lounge chairs, and the relaxation room is too close to the lockers. Also seemed like with the crowd it was difficult for the staff to keep up with cleaning up cups. I would come back for sure but would maybe opt for a weekday when it's presumably less busy.

Sandy advised that she could enhance my jawline by adding more filler in my chin. Apparently, what I requested is known as the "Texas Jawline."" Texas Jaw Treatments typically use Hyaluronic Acid Fillers to reshape and strengthen your jawline. Fillers are injectable substances that are absorbed by the skin to instantly add volume and create a lifting effect. Some products also trigger the production of collagen, which is the main constituent of skin, bones, and ligaments. To achieve my desired look, Sandy recommended using Restylane lyft and Restylane define. When injected into the hands, Restylane Lyft reduces the appearance of sagging skin, making the tendons and bones of the hand less visible. The injection of hyaluronic acid also triggers the production of collagen, which naturally provides more structure to the skin for longer. Similar to other products listed in the previous review of services rendered here, results of this filer have been shown to last up to 1 year with Restylane Lyft in the cheeks; up to 6 months in facial wrinkles and folds, like nasolabial folds; and up to 6 months in the hands. Sandy is extremely meticulous when it comes to providing fillers and explaining what benefits may arise from using various fillers. While this, by far, is the most unpleasant feeling during the injection of all the fillers I have used in the past, the end result of the filler is probably the most noticeable (in a good way). Cost for three syringes this go around with discount $1,800. Total for treatment last week and this week for injectables/fillers $3,000

it literally pains me to write this rn. but, y'all - we have been so deceived by this biz owner, CRIS, for a long time, in the present time, and so obviously in the near and distant future. it's extremely disappointing to have been woken up to the fact that yet another female-owned biz owner, in the female-dominated industries of hair/skincare/beauty, chooses to "professionally" (lolz) conduct herself in this manner and treat her employees with such utter disrespect and disdain, and a venomous lack of appreciation. it's disgusting and appalling. It has come to light recently that CRIS' staff have high turnover. i had no clue. SOMETHING SMELLS FISHYYY - CALL IT LIKE I SEE IT ! think about it, my fellow consumers. if we're going to learn any lessons at ALL from the current droughts and wildfires scorching our country right now - Where there's smoke, there IS fire. Stylists, estheticians, makeup artists - you friggin NAME IT! They have high turnover that happens fast. JUST ASK ANYONE HOW LONG THEY HAVE BEEN WORKING FOR CRIS, AND/OR DOLCE SALON. I was in a position of needing to have my hair done, cut and color, before a big trip to my in-laws. Normally I would NEVER try a new person right before an important trip. The recommendation I got for Dolce was from a woman whose hair is always gorgeous , so I got an appointment with Chris , the owner of Dolce Salon. From my initial phone call to the appointment, every aspect was completely helpful, friendly, and professional. Chris was patient and understanding and listened to what I said. She developed a game plan and communicated her plans to me very well. Although I was concerned about trying a new person, Chris made me feel like I could trust her skills. When she finished with my hair, she did a color correction as well as a cut, I couldn't believe how fantastic my hair looked. I had an incredible cut that even I could make look great, and beautiful shiny color. Fantastic!!!!! I even got a call from them the next day to check on everything. It is so rare to find a salon of this quality that I almost don't want to spread the word too much. I recently went in to have a blow dry, condition and style, and was again treated so professionally. The stylist was perfect. She did a deep conditioner and a beautiful style. I don't know where they found the office manager, reception person, tea maker, but he is a jewel. I can't say enough great stuff about the skill of Chris, or the amazing little shop she runs. I had the best experience here!!! It is a cool unique little salon with a very fun and laid back atmosphere! I have had the same hair style for pretty much my whole life and just wanted a change, so based on the recommendation of a friend of mine I made an appointment with Wes who was just fantastic!!! I wasn't entirely sure what I wanted to do to my hair, but he was totally fine with that, very patient with me and had no problem helping me figure out what direction to go in. He even showed me a few pictures of previous clients of his who had beautiful ombréd hair and I was sold. I was not disappointed!! Wes did an awesome job with my hair and did such a phenomenal and subtle ombré, I've gotten so many compliments!(the end result is visible in my yelp picture if you can see it!) Not only did he do an excellent ombré and styled it beautifully, but I had had an incredibly long and stressful past couple of days so I was pretty exhausted and a little bit out of it at the time of my appointment yet Wes was so laid back, friendly and funny that I left in such a great mood! I found Cris' salon by dumb luck and sheer desperation! Last year I had a huge birthday party coming up and went to Gabrielle's Salon to get extensions done - worst job ever! Not only did the extensions not match in color, the stylist put in so many rows it just looked weird; they were so stiff I couldn't sleep because the threads kept digging painfully into my scalp! The weight was so heavy I couldn't wash or dry it properly, and to make matters worse the "cut" she gave me to help blend in with the extensions was choppy and uneven. I never went back. My party was literally two days away and I was about to pull my hair out - real and fake! Lucky for me she was open the day I called her (after calling several salons to see if they removed extensions - they didn't) and she removed the extensions and even straightened the cut for me! I booked her immediately for my hair before the party - she had a clip in that matched my hair beautifully and gave me the long flowy locks I wanted for my special day. I couldn't be more grateful to this woman! 9 months later she's still my stylist and my hair looks amazingly beautiful again! I love Dolce! I get lash extensions from Joan and they are absolutely fabulous! She always pays wonderful attention to detail, spending extra time to make sure I'm happy before I leave. Be warned though - they're highly addictive! They make getting ready so much more effortless every day.. totally worth the investment!! Joan is an artist, and so sweet! I love getting to catch up with her during my fills - which actually aren't as often as I thought they'd be. I still get compliments up until I have my appointment! I also get my hair done by Cynthia. She is amazing!! I completely entrust her with the care of my hair. I'm not one to give too much direction, but I would say I'm a little OCD when it comes to my haircut if the only two suggestions I gave were ignored. You know, the hairdresser that only does what he/she thinks would look best instead. Fortunately, Cynthia knows when to change up my color, when we should add more layers to make it fall that perfect way... My must share my experience at Dolce Salon with stylist and Salon Owner, Cris Brashear. First of all, I will say I am very particular about my hair and appearance. I have to be. I work in Sales and part of my job requires me to, well, "represent". For years, I have struggled with my hair. It's thick, coarse, dark, and in general a real pain to style. It's curly, but mostly frizzy. It's "jew" hair. You've seen it out there. Cris and her styling expertise have helped me more than I could possibly imagine. I went from having long out of control hair, to the cutest A-line shoulder length bob you could imagine. Cris suggested that I have the Keratin hair straightening treatment (it's the best price in town), colored, and cut my hair. Not only is she the best stylist EVER, but the experience at Dolce Salon is personal and so special because Cris and her positive energy. She spends time with all of her clients listening to them and learning about their life, so she can work with the best hair solutions (including products) for you. I made the mistake of getting a perm by an unskilled stylist in Houston and was left with fried, rubbery hair. I had received a coupon for a free haircut at Dolce and came in as a walk in. King Gerron greeted me very warmly and made me feel comfortable in her skill and knowledge of curly hair and right away began planning what could be done to save my hair. She is very talented and detail oriented and brought life back into my hair with a deep conditioning treatment and haircut. The amount of care she put into working on my hair made it feel like a close friend was working on my hair and I could tell that she truly cared about the way my hair looked and felt and made sure I was satisfied. I wish I had come to her from the very beginning and avoided the awful experience with the Houston stylist. This salon is very close to my house and is decorated beautifully. You can tell that the stylists here are passionate about what they do. My experience was wonderful! I am from NY, and contacted this salon on a Monday. Cris C. contacted me back within 10 min! Who does that?! Dolce Salon does that! Cris was not just able to get me booked for the next day with a master stylist but she prompted me with the right questions before- hand. Photos, what I would like done,.... My hair was post Covid hair, I say no more...Upon meeting Pedro, he went above and beyond what a master stylist does. He was human, compassionate and totally understanding to my needs & concerns. I met with Pedro twice, as planned, to accomplish the outcome of a beautiful hair color that is stunning for me. Pedro cut my hair like no other stylist has cut before. I have unruly hair and it is now truly tamed to deal with! A pleasure! He is totally, confident, current and knows above and beyond his times. Thank you Pedro! When I first went to King Gerron a year ago, my hair was dull and tired, My sister had heard AMAZING things abut King and I went to see her based on those personal reviews. Well...she is DEFINITELY a COLOR MASTER!!!! Seriously, King took the time to study exactly what my hair was like, my skin tone, the texture and past treatments on my hair, and she works what seems like magic on you because she has the experience and the continued education in her field to give your hair exactly what it needs. I found out when talking to her that she is certified as a color master from Wella and a curly hair master from Deva, I think. My hair is an absolutely gorgeous color now, and has been since the first time I walked out of her studio. The cut she gives lasts forever!! I see her about every 5-6 weeks and I get SO many compliments on my hair now. It has made me feel like myself again! I highly recommend her and would follow her to wherever she goes! read more

I can't say enough about how amazing this place is and how wonderful Cris is! I've been going to Cris to get my hair colored and cut for 15 years and since she has expanded her business I've gone to her for just about everything. Cris was my hair stylist for my wedding, my bridal portraits, and she did my spray tan for my wedding. I will never go to another salon to get a spray tan. Cris takes her time with the tan and goes over areas multiple times that you're worried about and of course, all the products she uses are top of the line. The level of professionalism and personalization is unreal, especially for the price! After going to other stylists over the years and having my hair ruined I always end up back at Dolce with Cris. This woman is (Chris) is AMAZING! Just moved back to Austin from LA and was seriously considering flying back to get my hair cut, when I found Dolce Salon on the internet and read the reviews. I have NEVER let someone cut my hair that wasn't recommended by a (trusted) friend and/or some well known Beverly Hills Stylist. This was like jumping in the deep end.....really frightening! Of course I have difficult hair, baby fine and super straight, The true test of a good cut for me is how well I can style it when I get home and I promise you, my hair hasn't looked this good in a long time. She also has great ideas for future "looks" that will work for my hair..I get bored easily. I feel so lucky to have found someone this talented. If you need a great stylist..look no further! Cris is hands down the best stylist that's ever touched my hair. She is patient, attentive, and works to create the look you want. And she is a total sweetheart! I have thick, long, wavy hair that is very difficult to manage. Through the many years of wedding-going and bridesmaids-ing in Austin, I never found anyone that was able to style my hair in a way that would last. The second I would step outside, it was wavy/frizzy immediately. I couldn't be more grateful for finding Dolce just in time for my wedding. After Cris styled it the morning of the wedding, it stayed exactly how I wanted it through the wee hours of the night... It was a New Years Eve wedding, so this was a true test. Absolutely a 10/10 salon!! I had such a fun and lovely experience with Diana and Cris. I came to Diana with a really terrible grown out bob haircut, and Diana did an AMAZING job not just fixing it, but actually giving me the sharp and blunt bob cut that I had envisioned in my mind. I was also super appreciative that Cris helped with my bob cut as well and that both Diana and Cris took the time to help fix the back of my hair. New in Austin, I have been looking for a salon to call home for highlights and a cut. I had been walking in to places while out and about and did not feel a "vibe" anywhere; yet. I walked into Dolce and was approached by Chris, co-founder of salon. I explained my needs and she immediately put me at ease and recommended Pedro to do my hair. Chris honored me grace in my situation for my first visit. Pedro did my hair exactly how I like the color and was diligent in getting the cut right. I found a new salon home and on the first shot. I will be paying more than I ever have at this salon but it'll be worth. Great stylist, great products, great atmosphere just like I was promised. I walked out looking beautiful and happy. I am not typically one to write reviews, but today's experience warrants change. CYNTHIA!! Cynthia is as kind and warmhearted as they come! I immediately felt comfortable and knew I was in the right hands. She has tons of experience in her field and I was nothing short of amazed by my outcome! Broken ends, faded color, roots like you wouldn't believe... all resurrected and back to the perfect natural blonde look I hadn't seen in months. Both the blonde highlights and cut came out exactly as I described to her. SOLD-- I will definitely be visiting Cynthia for as long as I am living in ATX! Great experience at Dolce! I've been with Cris for over 5 years after she rescued my hair from a crisis situation (believe me, I'm not exaggerating). What I love most about her is that her style and skills are constantly evolving. I continue to marvel at her magic and never leave unsatisfied, because she is not satisfied with anything less than perfection. And I get it each and every time. At my last appointment, she managed to do for me what other stylists couldn't achieve - help me go blond without destroying my hair. The color blend looks incredibly beautiful and natural, and I'm not the only one to notice.
