    Aperol Spritz at rooftop bar
    Lena M.

This hotel is EVERYTHING! It's central, comfortable, safe and has amazing amenities. I spent the night here to help with a work event. They have a beautiful rooftop bar that gives you a 360 view of the city and that serves really delicious cocktails. I enjoyed the aperol spritz I got there. Every corner of this hotel is aesthetically pleasing. They also have a speakeasy bar. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to check it out on this visit, but plan to in the future. There is another spot that offers karaoke too and a cute little cafe for a quick morning bite. I drove up from Richmond. Upon arrival, I parked my car right in front and was able to get it valeted. It was about $49 for the evening. To get my car the next day I just texted a number. Checking in took a little bit. I think there was some overbooking issues with memorial day weekend stuff, but this didn't bother me too much. I got a spacious king bedroom. I adored the art on the walls. It's not often I'm at a hotel and think that I want the art they have on their walls in my own home. The bathroom was beautifully designed too with a cozy tub. Reliving my experience here by writing about it is making wish I was there right now. I really loved this hotel and highly recommend checking it out. It's in one of the prettiest neighborhoods in the city.

Nice hotel overall. We were actually reserved at a different hotel nearby, but it was definitely subpar, so luckily Revival had a room. The rooms are nice and stylish. We had a bit of trouble getting our AC to cool the room, but eventually it worked. The bed was ok night one, but started to hurt my back a bit night 2...mattress seemed just a bit worn. We grabbed food a couple times at the cafe downstairs, and I found the food to be pretty good. All areas of the hotel we ventured to seemed clean and tidy. The biggest issue we had was with our luggage. The front door entry was pretty tight and had no ramp, so as small ladies we struggled to get our larger bag in and out. Other than that the stay was pretty good. To me the area was hit or miss. We were there for a specific event next door, making the location ideal. But outside of that particular situation it wouldn't have been an area I'd have sought out. I wasn't especially comfortable as I walked to a few nearby locations. Some interesting architecture around however.

My client Walking Mannequin Body Sculpting loved her stay at Hotel Revival. She said the service was great and the room was clean.

ORIGIN: Hotel Revival opened in 2018, a true revival of the former hotel that marked this site for nearly four decades -- the Peabody Court Hotel. The 107 room hotel is currently part of the Austin-based New Waterloo hotel management group (https://newwaterloo.com). LOCATION: The hotel is situated in the historic community of Mount Vernon, a residential neighborhood once favored by 19th century U.S entrepreneurs and social leaders, including the founder of B & O Railroad, John Garrett and his daughter Mary Elizabeth, a women's rights pioneer. A landscaped park that is adorned with a water fountain, benches, and cafe tables is located across the street. CONCEPT: The hotel is designed to make guests feel that 101 West Monument is their own residence, however temporary. The interior design is eclectic, suggesting rooms are composed of sentimental treasures and investments acquired over time. EXPERIENCE: I did feel right at home in the Washington Monument facing room, a notion supported by the cheerful and helpful service staff, including Towanda, Florenzo, and Dorion, and thoughtfully added room amenities. For example, the suite has a water kettle, a variety of bagged teas and coffees, and ceramic mugs, as well as a leather bedside tray and decorative wall hook to store items. A cafe ('Dashery), rooftop restaurant (Topside), and bar (B-Side) can also be found in the fourteen story brick building, making it unnecessary for weary guests to travel far. The rooftop restaurant and ground floor bar have some unique features that in themselves make the hotel a worthy destination (reviews forthcoming). TIPS: Rates vary significantly (I'm talking hundreds of dollar variation), with summer being the least expensive time to visit. If your goal is not to escape summertime East coast humidity, summer is a frugal time to arrange a stay. Monument rooms ensure a view that faces the park and Washington Monument. The hotel welcomes pets. The beds are platform style, so the mattresses are without box springs and as a result are on the firmer side. A rooftop Garden Room is available for private events. I was told by Sarah (Topside hostess) that all employees are invited to a monthly meditation/yoga event in this room! Some items produced by women and Black-owned businesses are sold in a corner of the lobby.

My partner and I have stayed here twice now. It is such a lovely and carefully designed and curated space. - The staff are friendly and helpful - Very clean & affordable - Love the different bar and restaurant options Parking is a little expensive if you do valet ($49 a day), but we usually park in the lot down the street for $30-$38 a day. The coffee offered is very good and tasty!

Beautiful hotel in the Mount Vernon area of Baltimore. Room was spacious, clean, and the decor was charming. Bathroom was large, beautiful glass shower. And the staff was very accommodating- we arrived shortly after noon and they let us check in early. Definitely would return if in the area again!

Check-in was simple and quick so I got to my room pretty fast. Instead in a suite on the 7th floor. Entering my room, I was taken away with the smell of luxury the filled the room. The large windows and beautiful window treatments provided views that immediately made me feel special. The trim was big with somewhat of a hallway. The bed was oh so comfy and let's talk about the bathroom..... the bathroom was lit with somewhat special lighting in the mirror that made it clear and slightly dim. The shower was big, clean, and luxurious. I loved the shower handle that can be taken off of the mount and sprayed like a hose. And the Zenology body wash and body balm was the star of the stay! I've been looking ever for the Ficus Sycamorus scent and cannot find!!! I regret daily that I didn't pack it in my bag to take home! The hotel staff were friendly and helpful when asked for recommendations and directions around the city. The grab and go was most helpful when I got in late and needed a snack. We were assigned a room on the same floor as the lobby, just past the fitness center. From the outside it was as if we were on the second floor. Our single bed was quite wide, the ceiling above the bed was very high, but the bathroom was small, had no spare toilet paper, and only two hooks to hang anything, which made it tough to hang clean clothing and towels to dry for two guests who do not share towels. Speaking of which, towels provided were limited, so when I found a stain on my bath towel and requested a fresh one, they brought me a whole set. After our time here I saw a video by theholdernessfamily mentioning hotel bathrooms with barn doors that don't close tightly. I didn't realize that was a thing. But it proved true here! Also clear glass shower doors which make it impossible to share the bathroom with a gal pal while someone is showering. Our across the hall neighbor was loud. It was as if there was an open house party each night from about 10:30pm to 11:45pm with all the loud comings and goings. Their 24 hour gym had a water fountain. They have a Grab & Go stocked with a variety of snacks, drinks, some ice cream, and useful things.

We booked a reservation for 4 nights and chose to pay the premium price for this hotel due to the beautiful restaurant onsite and the location. We were excited for our stay. When we arrived we learned they were under construction. There was no food onsite for the duration of our stay - which was 1) not communicated ahead of the stay and 2) very inconvenient for my husband who was working all day from the hotel and would have preferred to take short lunch breaks at the onsite restaurant. This was half the reason for us booking. If that was the extent of it, I would've chalked it up as just bad communication and taken the loss. However, When we arrived they were actively painting the ceiling by the elevators and in order to reach our room, we had to step on the drop cloth covered in paint and navigate past the men on ladders. I got paint on my shoes and paint dripped on my arm on the way to elevator. We stayed on floor 10 and the entire floor had been recently painted and the walls were lined with plastic. I'm pregnant and the paint fumes were overwhelming and gave me a headache to the point where I ended up staying with a friend locally while my husband stayed at our hotel. The banging went on night and day and it made his working experience very tough as well. This absolutely should have been communicated as this environment was dangerous for a pregnant woman and just very uncomfortable for folks in general. I'm really disappointed in Hilton and I would never recommend this hotel to a friend due to the high price and terrible communication and unwillingness to shut down for renovations and instead inconvenience your guests.

It proved to be an excellent base for a short family getaway. The Positives: 1) Room Setup: We appreciated having two queen beds, which worked perfectly for a family of three. Both beds were comfortable, and the room layout felt functional rather than cramped. 2) Location: The hotel's proximity to major attractions was ideal. On our first full day, we walked about 10 minutes along the waterfront to the National Aquarium, which made for an easy and pleasant outing. The next day, we made a similarly short walk to the Port Discovery Children's Museum (formerly known as the Children's Discovery Center). In both instances, being able to walk back and forth without relying on transportation made the trip significantly smoother with a young child. 3) Staff and Service: The staff were consistently helpful. The concierge lounge attendants were friendly, and the front desk team handled check-in and check-out efficiently. On our departure day, we were able to store our luggage seamlessly after checking out, which allowed us to enjoy a few more hours in the area without feeling encumbered. 4) Elevators: This may seem like a small operational detail, but it mattered. We were on the 21st floor, and the concierge lounge is on the 31st. Because there is no direct elevator connection between those floors, we frequently had to ride down to the lobby and transfer elevators. Despite this added movement, the elevators were consistently quick and efficient. We never found ourselves waiting long, even during busier periods--a notable plus in a large waterfront hotel. 5) Concierge Lounge: The lounge was a real asset, particularly on our first evening. After traveling, it was convenient to piece together a full dinner from the generous spread available there. The following morning was more uneven--they ran out of food earlier than expected due to heavier foot traffic--but this appeared to be more of a planning miscalculation than neglect. Overall, having access to the lounge added meaningful value to our stay. (Lounge access is limited to Marriott Bonvoy members with elite status, which fortunately my wife has because of her frequent travels.) 6) Breakfast Buffet: We opted for the breakfast buffet on our final morning. At $32 per person, it is undeniably expensive. That said, the quality and variety justified the price. The offerings were extensive: oatmeal, grits, pork and chicken sausage, bacon, home fries, scrambled eggs, pancakes, made-to-order omelets and waffles, juices, coffee, and more. It was a comprehensive, well-executed American breakfast spread. Overall: For a short family trip to Baltimore, the Marriott Waterfront struck the right balance between comfort, convenience, and service. The location alone makes it highly attractive for families planning to explore the Inner Harbor area, and the operational execution--from elevators to luggage storage--was smooth. We would gladly consider staying here again on a future visit.
