Now we are seeing the results of the move: Not only more shelves and freezers of such products, BUT with more varieties! We applaud Wegmans trying to carry more healthier alternative products that people might want to investigate and possibly purchase in their near future! That considered, they still DO sell all the fast and junk food which will kill you faster than quick, or get you fast and living in a hospital quick enough!!

Now that we know it was there our next visit came quickly this time we went for the subs and grabbed an Assorted and a Meatball. While we waited we decided to shop a little. Some steaks a couple of their sausages some pirogies, sponge candy and other things. Heck we almost filled a cart while waiting for the subs. Now we've tried the Fried Chicken very good, Sausage sub excellent, deli case sausage, beef sticks, Friday fish fry, fried shrimp etc on and on. We're always treated well and given help and recommendations when requested. We absolutely recommend this local gem.

In store sub line still sucks and it's still slow, but if you pre-order on the app for pickup it's great 80% of the time now. They did cut the meat portions by like 50% in the last 2 1/2 years,forget things like the extra oil on the side, cut it wrong, forget toppings, skimp on toppings... here and there, but it's better than it was. Sushi: 4.5 stars out of 5. Filling portions have gone down some in the last 2 1/2 years, but quality is still good. It's rare to get old mushy avocado in their sushi now. Naturally, I still find myself frequenting this Wegmans whenever I'm back in Buffalo. The Amherst Street Wegmans has a massive parking lot, though you would never know it during the peak hours. Between how popular this store already is and the addition of the Wegmans Wine & Spirits shop in the same plaza, it's usually pretty packed. You might not snag a spot close to the entrance but you'll find a spot. Might I suggest that patience is basically required, as with all things Wegmans. Once inside, I'm almost always overwhelmed (in the best way) by how much there is. Prepared foods, deli counter, meat and seafood, bakery, flowers, produce, frozen foods. You name it, Wegmans has it and they probably have a Wegmans branded version, too. I love browsing the craft beer section and, more recently, the growing selection of non-alcoholic options (Thank you, Wegmans!). Honestly, I can't complain. Yes, Wegmans can feel overwhelming, but now that I don't actually work there anymore, I've grown to appreciate the variety, freshness, quality, and pricing. The things I would do for Wegmans to come to the West Coast... until then, I'll keep savoring every visit to Weggies while I'm back home.
