Prices are typically a little above average, though if you look around you can find a few good deals or sales. But if you live locally, those few extra cents for items here may still be less than the cost of the gas to drive to a chain store in Saratoga or Glens Falls that sells the same thing cheaper.

The last time I had to ask for her help it was because a sale item wasn't in the store the two times I looked that week, so I asked for a rain check, which is in line with their store policy. This is after two other people at the customer service desk couldn't find the rain check slips and the second didn't know what to write. Finally when Leslie showed up from the overhead page, she literally huffs at me and then makes another clerk go back there to verify there is none of the rib eye there and the exact label information, despite me having it right here on my phone in the Hannaford app. 15 minutes since asking for a raincheck for the out of stock item later, she tosses it on the counter and walks away. This wasn't just a bad day for Leslie, I had the misfortune of interacting with her a few months prior and her behavior was similar. Leslie is the rudest customer service manager that I have ever come across. I hope that corporate sees this, and takes my more detailed complaint that I sent via email to heart; this store requires new management training and incorporates other changes to benefit the customer.

The layout is a little odd here though, not what I'm used to in other grocery stores I guess. Ample parking though and kept fairly clean. We just stopped in for snacks & some travel-sizes items before setting out on a road trip to Florida, but there was a decent selection of snacks & a limited selection of variety in the travel sized section. Their new loyalty program is a nice perk though and makes them more competitive with Price Chopper now.

But this idiot says she cannot find the house. Had an order delivered from Aldi last week. Guy found me just fine, left it here without ever contacting me. I contacted Instacart & Aldi. Got NOTHING from either except "sorrrrreeee". I love Aldi but I will never go to the Queensbury, NY store again. A bunch of lazy idiots.

I especially like their butcher counter where you can grab marinated meats and custom cut steaks etc...Unfortunately, on this visit I was disappointed that they ran out of their daily special. By the afternoon they no longer had any whole or half portions of ribeye. It's nice when you can have it custom cut to your liking. When I'm out and about, it's not always easy to get there so early so it's a bummer when you are intent on something specific. I really like their fruit tarts too. They come individual sized, as well as a standard pie size. It's the perfect bite after a meal or whenever as it's not too sweet and it's quite good. Lastly, the shop is always nicely organized and the staff is helpful. All this makes for a regularly pleasant shopping experience.

Made the best Chimichurri tacos on the grill tonight courtesy of Fresh Markets meat counter and their amazing marinade!! So glad the gentlemen at the meat counter were so prompt and helpful while I was making my selections. I will definitely return for the meat counter. It was my husbands birthday, so I also grabbed a cake and some desserts for the fam -- the cakes are about what you would pay at Price Chopper, but in my opinion, they appear to be made with more attention to detail. If you're having a hard time finding birthday candles with numbers, they have a huge selection next to the cake counter and some Birthday cake pieces as well. The way to shop at this store is by learning the regular sale days. Tuesdays deals are: $5.00 12 inch pizza $3.99/lb Chicken Breast $5.99/lb ground beef $5.00 rotisserie chicken Fridays deals are: 2 for $5 burgers Each week they choose a different fresh deal, so you'll likely find a deal for $5.00/lb meat. This evening it was carne asada chicken breast cutlets. Other elements that I really enjoy is that their olive bar has Dolmas!! It's the only one that I know of that carries them in the area. Never realized how difficult it is to find specialty food until I moved back to Saratoga from Texas. Plus, my kiddos love going with me for the candy by the pound jars -- they really love getting to make their own selection and mix. While I do find the market to have steeper prices, I do enjoy the convenience, but I have to shop the deals.

I don't know if that's true, or if it's been this busy for 114 years, but it was definitely packed full of people last Saturday perusing the wide array of merchandise they have for sale. Despite its proximity to the Great Sacandaga Lake, Northville is usually a sleepy little town. Last Saturday though, the Five and Dime was literally the busiest place I've been since COVID hit...maybe it was a combination of the 4th of July parade happening soon and the impending rain...but I like to think it's just because it's an awesome shop. Five and dimes seem to be dying out across the country, but if you've never been to one it's like a mini-department and/or general store. They've got all kinds of fun stuff to check out from toys (bubbles for my daughter), camping supplies, hardware, stationary, seasonal decorations (we found some needed graduation stuff, birthday candles, etc.) crafts, housewares, and more. Don't forget to check out the second floor which has a surprisingly nice selection of lake-appropriate clothing (Lakegirl must be a popular brand these days), and a whole room for baby stuff...books, clothes, toys, and more. Most importantly, they've got homemade fudge. I'm not a huge fudge guy, but I'll happily get down with the sea salt caramels anytime, and the army of teenage girls that seem to staff this place will be happy to help you out.

They have everything from cleaning supplies, organization containers, frozen foods section, helium balloons, cosmetics, bathroom supplies, arts and crafts and seasonal items. I will say the arts and crafts is a bit smaller of a selection than the surrounding stores, but the presentation and service was great. All employees were friendly and available.

As I learned by bringing my mom here, this can be a slightly awkward store to enter if you have mobility issues. Part of that, the entrance, is something they inherited when re-using this building (formerly a Rite-Aid). The entrance has an alcove with automatic doors on 3 sides. But the ramps for folks with mobility issues are on the right and left sides of the curb, and the spaces closest to the center entrance are right in front of the door. Unfortunately, the side doors were not working, signs up to indicate use the front door. But there was also a delivery guy trying to get in with items on a large dolly, and that dolly did not conveniently navigate the extremely narrow walkway space between the front spaces and the building. art of it is also the store's choice. The shopping carts have the high poles on them making it impossible to roll the cart out of the store. I get the need for this to prevent theft, but it also makes it more difficult with folks with mobility issues to get larger amounts of purchased items out to their car without assistance. The inventory was okay, though not quite what I was expecting or hoping. It was a case of not a lot of selection for an extremely wide variety of items. This included refrigerated/frozen items, and cleaning and storage supplies. The good deals were still there if you looked for them, though many items have again had their prices raised from $1.25 to $1.50. Would I come back? Absolutely. I'd just be aware of what may or may not be in stock, and possible price changes.
