As a family--including a minor--who are openly gay and were dressed casually in hoodies, we felt we were being profiled. Whether this bias was based on our clothing, our sexual orientation, or a combination of both, the result was the same: we were treated like criminals rather than customers. When I attempted to de-escalate the situation by calmly asking the associate if there was a problem, the harassment intensified. Rather than acting professionally, a second associate joined the first, creating an intimidating 'two-against-one' dynamic. This targeted confrontation was aggressive and predatory; it left me physically shaking and fearing for my safety in front of my partner and our 15-year-old cousin. Shopping for basic necessities should not be a humiliating experience. Funny enough, we have MORE fun shopping at Aldi, talking to other patrons and then figuring out what our bill would have been elsewhere. Let me just say - we are saving between 40-60% off our previous grocery bill. It's truly shocking. It's more fun than the Target Dollar Spot! She's particularly fond of German cookies so every Christmas season I go and buy her a bunch of German cookies. They also had frozen apple strudel which I probably should have gotten. They have the Kringle too. They have beef schnitzel but I was looking for pork which I didn't see unfortunately. I did end up with some cooca dusted truffles and dark chocolate covered marshmallows as well. In the Aldi's "find" isle they had some really nice gifting ideas. Such as a fairly thick blanket but it wasn't what I was looking for. The sled candles were super cute as well.

I won a small firesafe on my 1st restock day. Once the store opens, people rush in to grab the best items. I was seconds too slow grabbing an Instant Pot and a Foodsaver vacuum sealer both of which were great deals for $5. My best deal this Friday was a Rodan and Fields Unblemished skin care set that retails for $190. It's not very organized but I love the hunt for a great deal so it doesn't bother me at all to dig through bins. After the $5 restock day, the prices start to drop each day but I feel like it gets pretty picked over pretty quickly so restock day is the only day I like to go.

This is a smaller Five Below but it looked pretty well organized and appeared to be everything you would expect. Most of the t-shirts in the front looked to be sold out, so I guess it must be pretty popular. I was surprised to see that it had self checkout as most by me still have full registers.
