The produce was lackluster in volume and choice and priced at or higher than area prices for in-season fruits and vegetables. Specialty items were definitely at a premium. There were some aisles with ethnic finds such as Greek, Italian, Polish but skip the deli and looked more like a hangout for locals at Angelo's - prepared foods. Next to that area appear to be what once was fish and seafood now filled in with random sale items. It was depressing and disappointing. It looked more like a store that was getting ready to permanently close.

I am writing to formally complain about a recent FreshPass grocery delivery that was marked as…read moredelivered but was not delivered to my address. I am a regular Jewel-Osco customer and use FreshPass for grocery deliveries. Today, I received a notification through the app stating that my groceries had been delivered to my front door. However, when I opened my door, the groceries were not there. I immediately contacted Jewel-Osco customer service and reported that my order had been delivered to the wrong address. I completed the required refund request, but later received notification that my request had been denied. According to the customer service representative, the driver provided a photograph and claimed the order was delivered to the correct address. My home address is clearly displayed above my garage door. The driver would need to enter my driveway to make the delivery, and any photograph taken of my home should clearly show the address. I asked whether the address was visible in the photograph, but I was not provided with confirmation or a copy of the delivery photo. This order was worth more than $100 and included meat and dairy products. Because it was an extremely hot day, even if the groceries are eventually located, I would not feel comfortable consuming the refrigerated items due to food-safety concerns. I have never previously requested a refund from Jewel-Osco. I am extremely disappointed that, as a loyal customer and FreshPass member, my report was dismissed solely based on the driver's statement without properly confirming that the photograph matched my actual address. I am requesting that this matter be reviewed by a supervisor, that the delivery photograph and location information be verified, and that I receive a full refund or replacement for the missing order. Unfortunately, if Jewel-Osco refuses to resolve this issue, I will no longer feel comfortable shopping with the company or using FreshPass. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. Rice is good - I think they use a chicken broth or something cause it definitely had a chicken taste to it. Not bad though at all. Where this place shines though is the really friendly staff. The cooks were happy and the cashier was super nice and helpful teaching me the right Spanish words for things. We had a few good laughs. Great ordering experience over all. Lastly, the little grocery market is stocked FULL of authentic Mexican ingredients with some fresh produce and a refrigerator wall of cold drinks.
